Independent meaning

http://laymanswatch.com/LaymansWatch_files/Commentaries/Rapture-HowClose.htm  It is always interesting to see how people continually try and predict what should not be known, ie..the timing of the rapture and the return of Christ.  However, this fellow does have all the Biblical references, the signs and the date ranges cogently organized.  What do you think?

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/forces/funfor.html  Strong, Weak and Electromagnetic gravitational forces.

The strong or the weak?  Which side do you believe yourself to belong?  The majority of humans rarely contemplate physical relationships at the subatomic level.  Once again it appears that the great scientific attempt to separate God from His creation ends in a cul-de-sac.  No matter how precisely we dissect the universe into its component parts it retains its mystery and complexity.  We remain where God intended us to be; forced to make our eternal decision based on Faith and the hope that God’s Word is true.

These structures, particles and forces effectively diagram the relationship within our atomic composition.  They are the building blocks with which the Lord tied together the universe.  Again even in space too small for us to actual see the particles we are confronted with the majesty of God’s creation.  Just as in the human cell, forces and matter at the subatomic level remain too statistically complex to owe design to random possibility.  In fact, physicists are increasingly declaring that there is special complexity beyond measure for logical probability as the atom is broken down to particle exchange and force cohesion.

I remain curious as to why we have to know?  Isn’t the living of life in itself its own meaning?  I will know at some point the answers to all these questions but for now it is more important for me to exercise and build my body of faith.  Nothing is incapable of creating everything no matter how I rewrite or break down the logic. God stands behind every door, waiting for us to invite Him in.  Won’t you ask the Lord to sup with you?  Praise the Father in Jesus’ name.

Doing it right

I continue to try and fail, yet God still loves me.  Although I keep doing it wrong, I still feel His hand in everything that I do.  Such an amazing idea.  How do we become something more than just the efforts of an inadequate man, the ramblings of a self righteous sinner or the not so comical attempts of this blind man trying to describe the masterpiece in the portrait of Messiah?  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen Hebrews 11.1 (KJV).

I cannot do anything, but I hope to.  I cannot make a difference, but I pray that the Lord allows me to make one.  I pray for the miraculous to occur for people and yet I know that if it were dependent upon my successful performance such hope would be foolish.  I have to believe that He will somehow make a difference through my in-poetic preaching, my imperfect delivery of His word or that somehow a kernel of my testimony will reach someone.  I cannot save anyone, but in my heart of hearts I wish that something I say or something I do for someone helps them seek the Lord in all of His love, power and glory and consequently find their way to salvation.  In effect, although I keep doing it wrong there must be some smidgen of evidence for God in my wanting to do the right thing and believing that somehow He will find His way through my clumsiness.

And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. Revelation 12:11 (KJV)  What does this mean to you?  Is it open for interpretation or is it clear?   The “they” that this passage is referring to in the text is obviously Israel in their coming flight and persecution from “him” the “red dragon” (satan, the Lord Jesus rebuke him).  But don’t we all feel like this passage refers to us personally?  Am I not the an over-comer by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony?  Don’t the words that I proclaim, about God’s Righteous Glory, somehow give me victory over the enemy?  Doesn’t the power of His sacrifice somehow give me the “upper hand” in this battle to rise above the attempts of the accuser of the brethren?  Isn’t this about everyone who believes in and proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord?  Isn’t God’s word amazing in depth and relevance?

Father, forgive my miserable attempts.  I continue to fall short of Your Glory and the objectives You have set before me.  Please grant me pardon when I bring shame to Your perfection.  Forgive me my blasphemy, my misrepresentation, my poor analogy and my weak patience, love and understanding in sight of my brother.  Please make right what I seem only capable of doing incorrectly.  I am amazed that You chose me at all, but I am so joyously, grateful that You did.  I choose You Lord.  I will continue to seek You with all my heart, mind and soul, like I seek no other.  You are my Creator, my King, my savior and my love.  May I overcome the enemy through Your Blood and the words of my testimony.  May I not love my life even unto death.  May I continue to demonstrate faith through the substance of my hope in the things not yet seen.  I believe in Your power, glory and might and in Your eternal plan of salvation for all mankind.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Mud and pearls

http://youtu.be/O1ZBlLU7XIQ  Dr. John Barnett, the truth about the real and eternal HELL.

The truth remains, our attitude towards it does not diminish, improve, tarnish or remove one tittle.  The time of mockery, apostasy and luke-warm devotion is upon “all” of us.  All of us know that we could join endless argument with hecklers, foolish men and prideful sojourners given the opportunity to discuss the evidence for God and His coming judgment.  They seek to best you in debate, they must ridicule your faith, they are compelled to dispel your evidence and expose you as angry, uneducated, lying or crazy.  This farce is perpetuated by Christian men believing that somehow we can best them in their argument.  Having exchanged the Truth of God for a lie they cannot see the Truth (Romans 1).  Enjoining them in argument only perpetuates the resounding mockery.  Perhaps we should speak the word of God and let the Holy Spirit do any convincing that must be done?

We are not allowed to let our children learn about the Christianity, giving them the freedom to make their own decisions, as we have.  Rather they must be indoctrinated with the philosophies of Bhudda, Muhammed, Darwin, Nitsche, Hawking and Dawson without competitive reason, history and argument for the Truth of God.  These educational power brokers, calling themselves teachers are afraid in their own pursuits, so much so that they cannot allow our children the opportunity to contemplate a loving creator.  They have participated in the edification, revival and continuation of “man-centric” religions like; commercialism, evolutionism, naturalism, communism, mormonism and satanism, in which we all either have no need for God or we become a god.  These people must escape, disavow, dissolve, attack, confront or avoid the Truth of Judeo-Christian history.  It is not the beginning that they fear but the end.  Yet they must deny the beginning because it validates the inevitable judgment where we “all” must give an account for our lives.  To avoid that reality they will dash your children upon the rocks if necessary then blame you for doing so.  These things make no sense unless satan, the Lord Jesus rebuke him, is real and contending for the souls of the damned.  Confident men do not fear a good solid discussion of competing philosophies.  All men should fear God in reverence but only those who will not respond to His truth need fear judgment.  That fear is a loving gift from our Creator in hope that it will cause us to repent, seek His face asking forgiveness and redemption.

I do not personally wish that God’s judgment was so final, but my wishing it were different is irrelevant to truth.  Whether I like it or not we “all” will have to face an accounting some day for our actions in this life.  Knowing that truth does not make me dislike God or resent His plan but rather makes me closely monitor my own behavior as He intended.

I do not love my own will for it has been proven “false”.  As evidence I offer that we all know that there is enough food produced in the world everyday to feed every hungry man, woman and child on the globe.  Why then do some choose not to share, or others put profit above the common welfare of those in need?  I am compelled to chastise myself for not doing everything in my power, including expending all my savings to eradicate this suffering.  The explanation is so simple yet it will not be the Christian that will avoid this truth but rather the realist, the naturalist and the atheist.  For them the words are just a mantra, their lives just an entertainment, their gods self-serving, finite and chaotic.

A Christian may be selfish and not feed others but he knows that there will someday be a price to be paid for that selfishness.  Perhaps that is more wicked than the man who helps not and believes not that there is any personal consequence.  Either way we all know the truth whether or not we will admit it, avoid it or champion it.  The world and all that it is in it, including me was created for God’s purposes and good pleasure and that gives me peace.  Praise the Lord.

Sincerity

Your role, your conversation to have with your Maker.  Our collective role is not an issue of interpretation but rather acceptance and accountability.  What He told us all to do, in His Will, is not reasonably visible, but so crystal clear that if there were a descriptive above “absolutely transparent” that would be the one I would choose to describe the Lord’s direction to His people, His church, His disciples.  The answer to understanding God’s Will for our lives begins with surrender and ends with performance.  Giving our lives, in their broken state to the Lord, then growing in His Word and Fellowship to the point where we receive, understand and perform His Will for our lives.

Although, it is through His authority, His power, His ability to transform each believer and must not be confused with personal works or earning salvation, there still is need of performance to comply with the direction God has given us.  Not doing something for my own benefit but for His Glory.  Jobs He had prepared for me before the beginning of time that I will accomplish through His guidance and power still require me to take the action.  Individual paralysis through fear, false security based on mention of the “sinner’s prayer” in a moment of contrition or inaction due to complacency are all joyous to God’s enemies, because they all commonly offer excuse for not performing the works for which God designed us.  If we had no obstacles to overcome we could never demonstrate God’s glorious victory through our personal triumph.  The obstacles are “de facto” evidence of God’s participation in our lives and should be celebrated not avoided, feared or misunderstood.

We surrender to the truth that we are all sinners, and NONE of us reaches the Glory of God.  ALL are in the need of a savior.  We intuitively know these things because the Lord gave us that understanding at the core of our being.  This is the point of surrendering to that knowledge of God in His attempt to recover us from the depth of our ancestral fall.  He reached out to us we must then reach back to Him.

There Has to be a “visible” evidence of gratitude, transformation, willingness, belonging and believing in the purposes for which we were set free.  Joyous performance is one such “visible evidence”.  So too are actions like; eagerly seeking the Lord’s Word, eagerly remaining in prayer and voluntarily outwardly demonstrating the inward transformation through things like repentance, restitution, remembrance, right-action, JOY, PEACE and LOVE.  If these evidences are not identifiable then one of several Mal-occurences should be expected; backsliding through self-service or idol worship, lack of Holy Spirit filling or worse yet “apostasy” (downright abandonment of the truth of the Lord).

However you cut the pie up there is still a first piece and a last piece with the determining factor between them being “Time”.  We are inside of time and therefore the time of surrender and performance is finite.  We only have so much time to make decisions and take actions.  The Lord is the determiner of the time line, it started when He declared the beginning and will end when He says “enough”.   Not knowing when the declaration will come should impart to each believer a sense of urgency.  If it isn’t then there ought to be some sincere prayer because “something ain’t right”.  Praise Your Holy Name Lord, Jesus be praised.

Zero degree heading

Keep to the road though storm arise for I shall provide the dawn warmth and cost of lodging.  What days are come that we shall find ourselves alone?  How brusk the winter’s eve that we shall pale from starkers duty?  Closing buttons and wrapping shirt to keep shivers at bay.  Gift, unused resting on the mantle, tangent my Bible’s binding.  Both left wrapped, unmolested, cloaked to my eyes, mysteries secret, joys un-felt, contents veiled.

Plausible that I should find my way to heaven charting course with strong back and sturdy wind.  Fraud and silliness this challenge to accept infinity by belief.  Utter nonsense, dreamed in dark places.  So many roads leading to Rome, incomprehensible that one alone should lead ventures to truth and light of distinction.  It is too simple to hold possibility and therefore implausible.

Juggling cardinals cramming cerebrum full of jargon, pontification and data, attempting subjugation of massive proportion.  Moribund cornea and vinegar pallet in youth, resistant to all hope, wiping their brows in fallacious freedom.  Concealment their goal, not of unavoidable truth but in fearful, frail, supine form covered from the wrath of a certain God.  Terrified in anticipation and hiding from imminent footfall of Felis Leo, the Wrath, the Judgment, the Righteousness, the Life.

Miserably seeking the endless separation of all, to numb the thrumming loneliness of exclusivity.  Cannot go alone to be alone in the nothing locked forever in moot argument of postulate, identity and reason with hecklers of Grace.  Their uncoordinated flailing a brief opportunity in which to snatch away those who through Grace may see the truth and flee.  Oh that I may see that day, I pray.  Lord Jesus come.

Fresca

This new day.  I have no control of the past.  The choice to remember it as a causeway passing over dangerous waters remains to me.  The ability to change it diminished to restitution to the offended, repackaging of events to mitigate damage to reputation or learning from the victories and failures.  It remains dead to me washed by the blood of my savior, taken from me, replaced with a newly issued abundance.  Though some may choose to leave the windows and doors to the past open, cracked slightly, granting permission for the enemy to remind us of our wickedness, frailty and despair.  The powers and principalities of the air have no access to my life unless granted by the Lord my God.  If the enemy receives permission from the Lord to enter my life, or deliver flaming arrows against me then it is for the Lord’s purpose not His enemy’s.  I will not grant them open invitation to whisper discouraging remarks in to my victorious life.  There are enough circumstances to which I must respond, I will not create opportunities for harassment.

This new day.  I will tell all of the joy overflowing from my completed heart.  I resolve to dream of a future free from sin, pain, misery, war and death.  My love will be real, a true reflection of the Father’s love for His children, so that none will question my lineage.  My words will be true and build confidence within the body, preparing my Brothers and Sisters to face the storms regardless of direction.  I wish forgiveness for those who wish me harm.  May the Lord not consider their affronts and grant them mercy on His day of judgment.  They too are His children and grace allows them the opportunity to choose rebirth, eternity and freedom from the second death.  I will tell of a Lord that loved this world so much he joined a fallen race to rid it of any blemish, offering the choice of salvation to all who will accept.  I will remain in the present and think about my glorious future where I may look upon the face of Jesus, the Messiah of God.  Praise You in Your Majesty, Power and Holiness.

Dili-gentlemen

How frequently I hear the moans, prayers and sometimes impatient voices of those who say they are waiting upon the Lord.  Petitioning Him, repeatedly as directed, hoping that somehow they have the resolve to resist taking matters in to their own hands.  Beseeching the Lord’s emphatic response to appeal.  Knowing that the rub is always in demonstration of faith, hope and trust in the Lord’s perpetual gifts of influence, prosperity and event.  Ironically I never hear my brothers voice the perspective from what might perhaps be God’s point of view.  Does the Lord get impatient with us when He is forced to wait the duration of our worldly lives for us to act in the manner He has directed?  How does the Lord behave as He waits upon us?  Frustration, anger, incessant pestering, I somehow doubt it?

What if the Lord struck us mute when He became tired of our continued lying?  What if He caused us blindness in that right eye which refused to repent of adultery?  Can you see God giving all of our belongings to the neighbor from who we coveted his donkey, his car, his wife?  What if the Lord had twenty five people show up at our door saying that the Lord had told them to come and demand you tell them the Good News of Christ?  What if God made a judge garnish your wages for tithing or to feed the elderly, poor, widowed or fatherless?  How would you react if the Lord made you allergic to alcohol when you refused to repent of drunkenness?  Or perhaps allowed you to contract a new STD each time you chose to fornicate outside marriage even when you claimed to be saved.  How would I react if the Lord called me morning, noon and night demanding to know when I would stop worshiping mammon, practicing tarot or pursuing worldly treasure?

Thank you Father for showing me how to behave by waiting patiently upon my disobedient behavior, limited faith or apathetic performance.   I pray that my prayers are answered in Your perfect timing.  Praise you Lord, in the name of King, Jesus.

Immutable

Praise the Lord, O my soul.  O lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.  He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.  He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.  He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.  He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.  Psalm 104:1-5

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?  The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together and against the Lord and against His Anointed One.  Let us break their chains,” they say, and throw off their fetters.”  The One enthroned in heaven laughs the Lord scoffs at them.  Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,  “I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.”  I will proclaim the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.  Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.  You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”  Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling.  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up on a moment.  Blessed are all who take refuge in him.   Psalm 2

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.  Whatever he does prospers.  Not so for the wicked!  They are chaff that the wind blows away.  Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.  For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous but the way of the wicked will perish.  Psalm 1

Father, Trinity, man.  Truly take a few minutes and ask the Holy Spirit to give His insight into these passages and you will be amazed at the picture He paints.  Father, Son and Holy Spirit have a conversation in Psalm 2 about our relationship with Jesus.  If this world gives you any pause reside in the shadow of the Lord and find peace in the shelter of His wings.  Do not let this world taint your fine white garment.  Be sustained in buoyancy by the fortifying waters of a Holy Christ.  I love you and He loves you infinitely more than I am able.  Praise His Name.

Where is “right here”?

When all collapses, when all is won, when all else fails we find our self right here.  Right here is the place you would cross a million miles to get to and the people you would give your last micro gram of blood, sweat or energy to protect.  When all enemies are vanquished, all work done, all battles lost or won, where would you go?  Is it a physical location or somewhere you would be with a certain person or group of family members to spend final moments or take your last stand?  Is there no one for whom you would give everything to defend?  Does this idea even resonate in your heart?  The concepts of right here and readiness are inseparable and specifically apropos for today’s generation.

Readiness includes unique components; aptness, dexterity, preparation, willingness, maturity, inclination and many others.  It is one of those words of which we seldom think, but always wish we had.  It is often the determining factor between success and failure, comfort and despair or life and death.  Louis Pasteur understood when he coined the phrase, “chance favors the prepared mind”.  For a Christian it is less an act of random hope than a direct reaction to command.  In the Bible there are few messages repeated as frequently as “Be ready”.  In order to be ready we need to have a plan and then prepare for the eventualities.  It all comes back to where will you make your stand.  Right here Lord, right here.  Praise Your name Father.  Thank you for freeing us Lord Jesus.  Holy Spirit reside with us forever.  Amen.

Desired outcome

I don’t want to be God.  I believe that this concept is what separates the three camps; believers, unbelievers and fence-sitters.  Not wanting to become deity or somehow achieve a level of personal consciousness which gains me inclusion into all that is god,  makes receiving and understanding the Word of the One God, simple.  There is no conflict within my own spirit as competing philosophies, merchants or masters jockey for pinnacle positioning.  I am okay with God being God and me being me.  I do not have to develop complicated interpretations of Mayan, Egyptian or Druid cultures to explain my personal desire to become a god.  I do not need to have a psychedelic realization of the spiritual realm and somehow bring back to this material world a shamanistic explanation for my existence.

My ego is alright with being a relatively unimportant human in a vast complicated play written by the Creator of the Universe.  It suffices to be loved and known on a highly intimate level by my God.  The concept of me achieving my greatest efficacy by surrendering and being obedient to God’s plan for my life is not only acceptable but rather freeing.  I am at peace with the universe because I am not trying to remake it in “my own image” or desired end state.

The mystics somehow believe that some planetary re-alignment, collective consciousness or cataclysmic culling will bring about tranquility.  If that is so why then am I and so many other Spirit filled Christians already residing in joy as the Bible told us we would be by living close to God?  Just as I do not wish to be God, I am equally determined that each person chooses their own destiny.  I pray that you choose Christ, salvation and eternity, but I am okay with the knowledge that there will be those who refuse His gift of grace.  If it is a golden age you seek, I point you to inspection of Christ’s reign during the millennium.  There we will no longer seek riches, wars, domination and self satisfaction but instead live together in peace, justice and comfort.  Isn’t that what we all seek?  Praise God in Jesus’ name.
