So Much

Don’t be puzzled by our apparent seizures or moment of pure joy, our eyes closed, hands skyward, tears ejecting upon smiling cheeks.  It is not insanity or some cultic expression of channeling, mantra or trance. This rare spectacle that you have witnessed, while perhaps a bit frightening or curiosity provoking, is quite normal to the relationship with God through Christ. You see, we have found that which we found missing in this world, and in that fulfillment we are pleased, actually overjoyed to find ourselves in the presence of Almighty God. It may appear drug induced, but I assure you it truly is a communion with the Holy Spirit of God in Christ.  Wait til you get to see the folks dancing or falling on their faces at the alter in prayer, that will really freak you out.

We know something that we wish to share, but influences in this world are determined to keep from you, even to the point of pronouncing us cuckoo.  What we know is that the first man and woman disobeyed God and because they allowed sin into the world through the disobedience they lost their rightful place in the perfect garden in which God has placed them. In fact, having taken in sin they now were in danger of remaining in that position for eternity if they were to remain in the garden and ingest the Fruit of the Tree of Life and be stuck in that position eternally. So, God kicked them out of the perfect Garden where they walked together each day, separated from that proximity to God, desperate, on their own. That is why to us it is such a precious thing, because creation has been groaning since that day to be reacquainted to relationship with God.

You see, we found it the day that Christ died on the Cross and then was resurrected three days later.  I know that seems curious, perhaps even odd, but it will all make sense in a moment. You see, God is so Holy that He cannot be near sin without judging it, meaning destroying it or banishing it. So, once we had sinned He had to remove us from His presence, just as satan and the disobedient angels fell from heaven when they sinned against God. But here is the amazing Grace of the entire thing. Since God is outside of time, meaning He created time for mankind, because he is eternal and has no need for time, He knew everything that we are going to do in our entire lives and also everything that the devil will ever do. So, Christ volunteered before the beginning of time to leave His rightful place in Heaven and come to Earth to live a perfect life and then give His life freely to pay the sin debt created by Adam and Eve and perpetuated by all mankind. By becoming the perfect sacrifice, Christ paid for ALL SINS, for ALL MANKIND, for ALL TIME.  You guessed that means you too.

So, what happens now is that we having believed in the work done by Christ on the Cross are now overjoyed to once again have access to relationship with the Father in His Throne Room through prayer and Having His Holy Spirit living within us on Earth, sealing us for eternity and counseling, guiding and empowering us through this life.  It kind of makes our joyous grin understandable doesn’t it? So if you see a Christian in that moment when he doesn’t know whether to cry, sing or shout, now you know what it is all about.  You too can feel that way you know, by being reacquainted to God through acceptance of the Gift that Christ gave for all of us.

Oh, you want to know how. Easy. Father, I am a sinner, I want to be forgiven of my sin and be redeemed to relationship with you. Lord Jesus will you come into my life and cleanse of my sin that I might be set free from sin and death forever. Will you live with me and through me in this life and prepare me to spend eternity with You.  I thank you and pray this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.  Okay, now you will be filled with Holy Spirit and you ought to expect that you will begin to change becoming more like Christ every day.  That joy you saw on my face just then, that is because heaven just rejoiced at the news of your Salvation.  Now you too can be looked at goofy for being lost in God.  Have an awesome day.  In the name of Jesus Christ, I love you so much.

All

In the light we stand, observant for the days are precious. On the line of embarkation we tread, not lightly but with intention, leaving sneaker print to remember our beginning. Of this day we shall say once parted that it was the moment of our brilliance, our call our courage. For without the leaving there is no second coming, no retrieval, no recovery, recall or joyous meeting of missed loves. Were we to forgo this moment of our challenge then absent trial or testing trail would we be left among the rubble of our former selves.

Shoulders warm and ready for burdens born. Brought again to the morning with insight of tomorrow, whispers of good things to come from plodding on in patient expectation. For there is no joy without preparation, unless of course it is an fire internally fueled. Turning to what we thought to be East to face the coming day, we face it with an embrace tight enough to capture moments, but lose enough to let the world breathe. We are no exception, part of the play, but members we, free to be what were supposed or choose to be.  Cast in lots our robes are fallen, masks remove, plain as the day into which we march. This is the treasured instant of our becoming, when we see it as it is not as we hoped or thought it should be. In this light there is nothing left, but to stand.

And in darkness funnels fed, what molten lusts we led, when we practiced being dead. But now to life we jump and shout finding out what it’s all about. Which path leads to the brightest summit? Which day’s heat will fuel our hearts with necessary love, joy, strength and courage? Output, outcomes, treasures, passions, memories, dictates and pronouncements, reproductive beyond our capacity to understand the internal drive. Seeking to continue in some form fashion, even if it is the scars upon faces we meet. Our tender feet remember the road dreaming of a lighter load. For we will be eternity and in that we will forget this quest to be remembered, marking marks for history’s jaw. In awe of all that stands in light, forgetting the reflected light of night. Standing in a throng, no longer wondering dances to be measured by the light being turned upon our private prancing. Having become part of the something of which we stood astray, wanting no say, but having an authority born of understanding not guess as we confess the loss of wanting more, for in the light there is nothing remaining for all was given that this might be our place.

In Jesus’ Name I thank him for doing all that needed to be done that we might live free.

Spoken

Done calculating, interrogating God, demanding knowledge of Will and Purpose. He is my King, and me servant. Happy within the realm of fitting in somewhere in some distant paragraph, or careful sentence, to be what He declares is righteous and ready. Seeing through the seams is not welcome in expanded numbers, whispers heard when no one spoke, hands raised when no question asked, beyond the elbow of the mountain. Don’t force yourself, become yourself, a pat upon the shoulder, charming entrance or prayerful exit. What are dreams, when they are not your own but message of things forgotten, missed or maybes, someone else’s possibility or perspective?

Lord, tomorrow is not my wanderland. These tears, traffic of the journey of stars to solar’s edge, skating universes, leaving dust and moons in wake.  Shaking hands not fear-filled scare, but sharing in idea stored in the chronicles of a story yet told to me, or bye me, or about me, but none the less to do with me.  Answers are not always solutions when unwanted or misunderstood or inharmonious to expectation, reason or rhyme. Play the daydream Daddy, the part that makes me uncontrollably giggle in the madness of imagination and joyous excitement of life. There are no stripes to follow, no landing strip, no path or proper password given, yet all attached by workflow and essence.

Necessary, purchase of packages, little ones in which are held the volume of virtuality.  These steps lead us somewhere, does it matter or must my destinations be determined in the depths of declaration? Divine, in providence, in prudence in perspective, invective or directive is by nature beyond. Passed the point of reason, passed the point of calculus or summary judgment, a classification left out there for reasons that have no reasons to a man who has to no sense to understand them. This is the beginning, this moment, this breath, this twist, turn, variable and equation, leading to a sum or maybe nothing or perhaps Mobius infinity flipped upside in strings and strands or dimension in perpetuity. The Song I may sing now may never be sung again but for memory’s cause, so sing, for it is all about the memory. The focus, the reception, the Love, the answer in the Dream. Headed straight for God without a map to follow, course to navigate or aspiration to achieve. In Him, With Him, Going to Him, all at once.  In Jesus’ Name.

Good Times

My pain my worry, illness and strife, befallen my Daughter, Uncle or Wife. Though is viewed a stabbing knife, the surgeon’s hand guides it to save this life.  Do not be dismayed my friend, though you weren’t thinking of the implications when you took those steps that ended up putting me in predicament.  Nor fret about the enemy’s capacity to challenge our will, our courage and hope.  For we must be consistent in memories realm to ponder the implications of a Holy Promise, to use all things for good for those who love him and walk according to his purpose. Are you walking with him, do you love him, then even what you completely blundered, he will turn to good.

Please rebuke him Father, if it is your good Will to do so, for he has consumed so many, destroyed the others and spread discontent and malfeasance far and wide. But you knew these things before time began and that they now occur means one simple thing; that they all must occur in order for that great day of the realization of your Good Will to come about. Just as that day that the enemy hates where Joseph forgave his Brothers and saved Israel. Or the day when David refused to turn hand against your anointed and showed us your heart. Or that day when Stephen forgave the rock throwers before a waiting Christ standing to welcome him home. These things must have occurred, for the good of all humanity that we might see God’s Mercy, Grace and Wrath. Bad things happen that God might be revealed and in so doing we see that His Good Will always prevails even in the face of being thrown into a hungry den of lions or a seven fold increased furnace. It is in the furnace that those young men met Christ, they certainly knew him before entering, but do you think they would trade that day for any price?

I don’t want tragedy. I don’t crave some lasting burden nor do I hope for a grand test like the one that saints faced in laying down their lives to lions and bears in the coliseum. Do you think they liked God’s plan for their lives or that they imagined they would be sacrificed to suffer along with Christ? Of Course not, however, do you believe that sitting next to him in heaven this day that they would have for a moment traded that opportunity to die for the Good of the Kingdom’s Purpose or doubt in the least that their tragedy was used for the good of God’s Will?  Tell that to the millions of us who have been strengthened by the demonstration of Faith and Hope in Christ. We fear the tragedy, but in God’s Promise to use the tragedy for good we may have forgotten the absolute grace of tragedy, the joy of pain that we are healed, the mercy of being disenfranchised that the Good Shepherd might reach out and rejoin us to the Flock. I do not know what is coming my way whether difficult or perhaps easy blessing, but although important it pales in comparison to the blessing I am thankful for each time that the Lord walks with me through pain, tragedy, despair and helplessness, that His Love, Mercy, Grace and Power might be seen in my deliverance.

Praise His name for every thing he sends me. I pray Lord that I rejoice in your name and exalt you to the heavens in the midst of my greatest trial that they might see and know you as God.  In Jesus’ Name.

Positioned Right

In the dark of the night, I write about the light, paying prices made of season and wisdom with no bite. I challenged them each morning to investigate my plight. Capture all the images of parlors in delight.  On horse back drawn to carriage with Parliament in sight, Britain made an exit without respecting English right. Days are not remembered where no vessels took to flight. You think us simply worthy of seeing through our spite. For Kingdom’s sake they make their break hoping escape within their flight. Dawn to noon, noon to night, moon to star and stars til light. Answers come when question might, dissolve the bonds that control the kite, that it may reach unintended height, perhaps escaping human sight, kissing off to be polite.

Days meant for proper fight do not meet squarely with metered might, who wish to wallow in sure delight, how much is in a Terabyte? With armour shorn and sandals tight we trample fiefdoms and herald’s blight. Tis day past four and the tea’s not quite, tepid yet with sugar white, oh magdelaine, orange scent so light, will you douse my appetite? In castles green and lily’s white and golden dreams of fake pyrite. I dash aground in fresh respite Tailor made for the Jebusite. Hurts feelings over missing ball invite, we conjure up the black and white, to dawn, to dance until it’s light, we hope they get the music right.  Whisked away it’s quite alright to cancel meetings penned on vermiculite.

With Heaven’s Home within our Sight, why wouldn’t we stand and fight? Eternity our just invite to escape the proud and erudite, that they might clamor within the light to escape the judgment and hide in night. When the stars be dragged from within our sight and plunge so deep from stellar height, what name shall ring out with grand delight, A Name to set all things right. His feet they land not left then right on mountain’s crown, split quite right, that day that day will be such a sight for each and every Israelite.  He’ll bring with Him all Heaven’s Might to render instant end to fight. Mustered millions will have come to fight the Light, instead they’ll receive an pounding smite, with blocks of ice and fire’s bright, he’ll speak their end before the night. The valley full, vulture’s delight he’ll mount his horse with the saints in white. We’ll stand in awe our tongues we bite that we never had to join the fight. For God’s Great day was His To Fight, To take His Fill til Wrath’s Respite.

Holding Out

Have we been traumatized so, that we no longer believe in the possibility of innocence. Having been removed even one step further than non existence, but now we are jaded in such a manner that we do not even think innocence possible or mathematically probable. What does a man experience in this construct when confronted by a young gentleman of noble intent or a pious young lady reserving herself for a righteous dream. Are they beasts of unbelief, items of fantasy to be dispelled or do they confront us immediately with the callouses upon our firmament?

This world is in horrific disarray, yet beauty abounds. There is financial imprudence and abuse of power in broad display, yet there are still those with sound, conservative or egalitarian reserves, ready to lend a hand. Governments having been given too much power by the people they serve, have now become hawks seeking to take the table scraps of authority to which they have no claim. Yet there remain public servants who would fight to diminish the rights of bureaucracy that the pendulum of private public partnership is reserved in perpetuity.  There is garbage welling up in underground facilities, nuclear and industrial waste polluting rivers and lowlands and tons of chemicals in the air for all to breathe. Yet even now we can see the Glory of God’s Face reflected in the sharps focus of a mountain peak, the lazy buzzing of a bumbler bee and the shimmer of mountain lakes. What then causes us to become so callous or jaded that we fall into despair proclaiming all things desperate?

Is there a tipping point of worry or concern that lends a man prone to victimization or dismal discontent? What then of the beauty, the righteous, the pure, do we lose the capacity to perceive them or simply forget they exist, forcing them to the edges of disbelief? How do we reconcile this apparent inconsistency in perceptive understanding quantified with the level of overwhelming trauma individually received? Is there a certain measure after which enough trauma has been sensory established beyond which we are in a perhaps a cultural shock, something akin to the philosophical theories of the 1980’s symposiums? And how is this point of realistic disturbance occur when we have the Holy Spirit of God living within?

There you go, you always have to point toward the dirigible floating above the trees tracing our harmony valley.  Every thing has to go back to the Bible, I don’t get that but let me try and answer your question from a secular point of view. If I believe, because I have had my sense of fairness in the world dashed upon the rocks so many times that there is no longer anything good in the world, then I have made a confirming statement of change in belief structure. If then confronted with an object or human that appears to challenge that new belief boundary, I must find an alternate method of describing or defining it to remain consistent with my new found position of comfort.  Sounds reasonable for a man without hope or with limited capacity at change, but what about someone who is a realist?  Are they as prone to simply dismiss and recalculate their understanding to discount the probability of innocent examples?

No, I guess you’re right at that point it really becomes a differing subject, because the realist or the pragmatist is going to look at that example and adjust their previous hypothesis with the new data, having to reestablish the possibility of innocent in a tortured world. Okay, what about the person with hope, maybe even the person with some belief in the impossible?  What does that person do when the world begins to fall down around their ears, maybe to the detriment of the innocent as they are typically the most vulnerable of species? How do they adjust when problems, significant problems continue to mount and the general prognosis of society is declining toward entropy? Well that person does something that frankly makes no sense to me and that is he holds out hope that some supernatural authority or influence will provide the missing components of humanity and produce innocent just to infuriate those powers attempting to eradicate its beauty and to the frustration of them who have adjusted belief. For they are confronted with the proof of their own incorrect determination and discernment.  Yes, by Franklin, that person, I guess you are referring to a Christian would believe in the impossible, the Hand of God to intervene to protect the innocent that they might not be wiped from the face of the Earth that God created.  I guess that position makes sense in that perspective, but I still think they are barking up a tree with no branches or leaves.

That’s okay, you once told me I was an idiot and that you would never agree with anything that I had to say, but I had hope that this day would come.  Guess what, you better run, because I am praying that you are going to meet Jesus at some not so distant point in the future.  Love and Hope overcome all evil in this world, we simply wait them out, because there is only one thing that doesn’t change and that is the Lord our God.  Praise His Name.

Peace and Punishment

Father, I have no realistic understanding of this clever and powerful enemy that we face. I understand the need for vigilance, diligence and girding up my mind to stand sober and ready to face these wily attempts to unnerve us. Please allow me to stay armoured in your characteristics throughout the day and night that I might stand with wisdom’s crown, having made preparation for the battle to come. Lord, I see the endurance planning, strategy and tactics of this foe and must admit there is a level of brilliance in the long-term method of wearing humans down. Lord, I am not a fool, thinking myself capable of standing against an Arch Angel, even a fallen one. I need your defensive protection, Your provision and armaments and Your All Powerful Spirit and Word with which to do battle in this heavenly realm.

Keep me close that I might make ready use of the sacred place within the shadow of your wings to disguise my movements to and from the battles.  Blind this enemy to those precise, calculated and directed movements of my Brothers and Sisters that they might move against the enemy strongholds with limited resistance. Tie together the enemy’s feet that they might stumble when attempting to launch counter assault upon the saints. Father, stricken their speech, cognition and communications that they might be found standing in palsy when my Kin arrive. And Give them a Mighty Shout in Your thundering Spirit that they might make your enemies flee in fear at the mention of your Name.

Father, I see the timing and patience with which this enemy has approached our capture and I see that they have always been all in, every heart, every life, every coin, king and nation.  This enemy wants it all and will never settle for any level of peace, honor or contentment, but will violate every treaty, agreement or armistice before they have been sworn.  Lord Give the Saints that vigilant understanding of the nature of this evil, that there is nothing that will stop them from moving forward but Your Name. Give us consciousness throughout and allow us the mature use of Your Word, Our Testimony and Prayer that we might call upon your power and authority as we approach each defensive position.  May we take them back in obedience to your direction to the Glory of Your Name Exalted. There shall be no peace until you have come, but we pray for Peace in Jerusalem this very moment for we understand this means that you have returned to bring that Peace that will not be found here. We love you and cheer your Glorious Appearing. May it be soon for the hope of mankind and the destruction of the wicked, In Jesus’ Name.

The Glorious Light

The moon spies upon me until I can no longer stand illuminated in it’s grey white gaze. Wherever I go it follows, peering into my person, commenting on my passion, pestering and presenting itself the subject of all conversation.  “Isn’t the moon wonderful?”, she says in a voice she borrowed from a 1940’s actress dressed in off white satin. “Or that moon is just so big it must be one of them, harvest moons or something?” I forget it and then I feel its gravitational pull upon the water in my body, promising High Tide at quarter past the hour. There is no escape, but into darkness, but when I think I have cleverly deduced its mission, it dawns upon me that this is the sun’s light reflected.

The Son’s Light reflected in my own eye must be irritant to the wicked who prefer to operate in darkness. Not thinking too highly of myself I stop to ponder how frustrating my voice is in reading aloud the powerful Word of God? How they might seek to escape me, quench me, cover me, silence me or despise me for ever being part of the conversation.  I am tamed in my own awakening. The Lord gave me this reminder by night that the day is less than a revolution away as proved by its mirrored reflection upon the basalt black of twenty-first hour.

Is there resentment in those brilliantly shining for the Lord’s Good Purpose? Do we tuck our heads, turn our ears and tilt our eyes that we might not clearly collect upon our dishes the direct clarity of their well timed message? What then do we filter for less than noble reason? What men do we forget, women do we ignore and children do we simply dismiss, that hold in their words or gesture today’s or this week’s greatest blessings or reflection of the Son’s Light upon them as Mirror?  Do we avoid that which is the best for us, exchanged for a camp out in the darkness, believing ourselves complete, content or comfortable in the choosing of our own plush patio? What might be waiting for me out in the light of night, something so powerful from which I’ve hidden, seeking darkness and privacy’s prize?

We need more light, for those things which hate God must be driven into the light for they hated the light and loved the darkness that it might conceal and perpetuate their nightmarish pleasures. There is a day coming, not too distant where we no longer have need of the Sun or Moon for the Son will be our light and there will be no need for night. Today, I am learning to look upon those former irritants for the deception that has steered me incalculably far from the intended blessings of God’s Creation. No more misdirection for me, I will know the truth, even when my own choices have been complicit. It is a time for the light, constant light, inescapable light, to cleanse, to comfort and to dispel concealment and calamity’s deception.  Nothing shall be hidden and all shall be known for what it believes. That is transparency that is the power of the Light.

He is the Light of the World, won’t you see Him and be enlightened to the Truth that sets all men free?  In Jesus’ Name.

That Hope

Arise and be wed, not to romantic understanding, but to the Bridegroom of Creation. Be overjoyed, your place card present, the Hand of God will serve you, an unbelievable thing. What absolute overwhelming, unmitigated splendor will be shared that wonderful day.  I don’t think we will care if it is a day or a night or if there are in fact days and nights in the presence of Heaven’s Host. Glorified to be in Him, with Him for a time to which I currently have no imagination, Eternity. We are the Bride of Christ, the Church, soon to be wed and fed, By the Deserving One, to whom we owe all, yet we will be given more.

What then does this current predicament measure in its 80 odd years of disdain, loneliness, poverty, pain or illness? Not that it ought be slighted or diminished, but to place things in perspective, How long is Eternity in a glorified body again? Yes, this world has its beauties and its ugly, wicked wounded stations. It glorifies violence, illness, wealth beyond measure, power, lasciviousness and command over the vulnerable. But that is still this world, soon to be remade in the likeness of God. Are we that laser focused that we cannot see beyond these decades lacking treasure or facing overwhelming calamity or even death at the hands of wicked men, that we cannot see into the Beyond that Approaches.  Come now, take a moment to breathe and believe in things not yet seen.

We are here for you now, God is here to respond to prayers now, but some prayers will not be answered, by nature, until we are wed and returned to the planet. Do you have the understanding that if you’ve prayed for the wicked to be removed that will not be done until Christ returns, so you have asked and it will be answered at a time to which you should be understanding. If you have asked for health and your trial in this life is a body that performs inadequately for this life, then hold onto hope that on that precious day it will be exchanged with a glorified form that will be perfect in conceptions, performance and longevity. Again your prayers have been heard but shall not be answered until appropriate timing, God’s Timing. But isn’t it left us to gain that understanding and if we are going to have faith, hope and trust in a God who never lies then we must begin to hold onto the “Eternal” answers to an infinite life.

Father give us hope and patience to await your Perfect Will for our lives.  If I must suffer let me remember that it all has purpose and I am never doing alone.  Perhaps this trial will prepare me for the work I have yet to do here or the joy I will have in your Kingdom. Thank you for it all, May I learn to bring Your Hope to the wounded, expectant hearts of men who may have not yet found that Hope upon which we stand.  In Jesus’ Name.

The Pale Beyond

Casualty of understanding, the nexus between done and undone. My premises clean swept, venturing not onto dull signed roads of previous crossing, patient, formidable foes would follow us home, producing nightmare. What then is escape but that which comes after the rage implied by wonder. On the permafrost I slipped catching a hand pommel, stretched tendons laughing at ideal limits and promising to torture a morning. Dancing through hobbles glen, I stop to reason with madness, it only stares back making monkey faces. Does wisdom follow folly hoping to see it drop those veils of misunderstanding and shadow? No, it waits, for it is the prize of all who wander to rooftops, looking for a safer road. We shall not chase what we dare not face, leaving absolute chance to fates expectation.  These are not times for discipline and surety, this is the day of the loose handed grip and a proper dive roll from the window.

How proper this similitude, how tailored this conclusion to a ransacked parlor and a deleterious snake charmer, seizing opportunity and frail reason prize.  Commodity’s breach, sand leaking from poked satchel, leaving passage for all to follow.  What then is a hidden man, a sanctimonious pursuant of perfect pardon? Passions forgetfulness, bland perception, nothing new, nothing catching glamour’s fancy, but wholesome as Patchwork Patty.  What passes for complication within the body politic, what love lost when it had yet been invented? How dreams are dashed on rock so smooth, one would think soft landing possible. But parched throat’s cry til dawn then perish in the noonday bake.  And shakedown’s summit threatens to make nonsense out of nimbus, twirling higher than twilight’s torpid tempest. A raucous rainbow sown to blossom from strato’s garden all beholding to its promise of red moons and wet mornings for pirates to plunder.

Where have I gone that cannot be forgotten with dousing or grousing for a time and measure? King’s amalgam decree, promises us we’re free, but the small print or script or whispering willows of disinclined benevolence shall show us the way back to poverty’s palace. She beheld a wish, standing quite still, hoping to shimmer in the shade so that it’s presence is unmade, like a bed when company has come. And in the barbecued horizon we see the blackened season, overdone, forced, but sardonic.  I write until I cannot fight slumber’s heavy hand upon my brow and am done for now in the sadness of lost moment, or song or marmalade painted lily. This day may not be gone until I’ve squeezed it soundly, removing every flavor, sent and sarcasm.  Drained of its blood til blackness presents and events become slo mo in Cocomo valley.

What paints will be left for the morrow, when sorrows grey and pinkish purple stain the hearts of those heralding continuous joy? For today was august, crimson and emerald to cherish in the palliative progress of passion’s pander.  No more dally or dilly or silly man made pleasantry to greet the morn. This is not the day for immoral to quarrel or the simple to chance dimple but the after and noon which come to soon and stay to short, where ner’ do wells cavort and the pompous snivel and court. Promises are proffered but never offered for these few cherish what they shall never do and pray for the palsies leisure and pleasure of saucy story absent nobility’s glory and the stains of decadent’s mire.
