Before Hand

The days ahead a fraught with difficulty, tragedy and arduous circumstance.  Considering we are entering into a time preceding the return of Christ, have you steeled your mind, body and spirit to what may be asked of you?  Basically, are you ready?  Not just have you done the work that the Lord has set aside for you and you aside for, or the filling of the Spirit to the point where you have “oil in your lamp”, if the Lord returns in darkness.  Rather, are you ready to face the persecution, separation and coming focus on globalism, as the world waits for their messiah, the anti Christ, to deliver them from poverty, abstinence and God’s inevitable judgment.  You know they hunger to indulge themselves and unfortunately they see us as the restraining element to their unbridled celebration.

You don’t have to trust me, look to history for the proof.  Throughout the ages, the righteous few were always persecuted as entertainment for the wicked.  That is until God always stepped in and delivered/restored and provided for them.  Remember the Lord said that we would have troubles here, he said that they would revile us, lock us up, hate us for His sake.  This world is waiting for their “age of Aquarius moment, where stars align, druids worship the heavenly bodies, Aquarian’s arise, interesting that they just put out a movie where the Aqua Man is called the one true king.  Don’t you see it lining up for them to have the governors taken off the engine of the lust for unending sinful fulfillment.  He will deliver upon that desire, but only for a brief time then they will see the true serpent, the Lord rebuke him if he chooses to do so.  Look, the Arch Angel Michael wouldn’t even speak ill of him, instead allowing God to rebuke him.  I am certainly not going to venture into that category of prideful declaration.  Just look to history and you will see what awaits us if the Lord’s tarries.  Maranatha.

The simple truth is each of us knows if we are ready or if we are not.  Will you take the moment to face that choice each of us must make for readiness for the future coming our direction at blinding velocity?  This is the time to do so.  It is like putting on the flame retardant suit before entering the furnace or the chains on our rig before crossing the pass, it must be done BEFORE hand.  So now is the time, do you have an answer upon which to take action, for take action you must or be caught up in the deception that is coming soon from the worldly messiah of anti Christ.

I pray for your clarity, Spirit Filling and readiness in the Great Name of Our Returning King, Jesus Christ the Lord of All.  Amen.

Are you?

Do you tell yourself you will do whatever it takes having never tasted the fear and dissatisfaction of failed intent?  Do you embark in word battles with grand capacity for impression but balk at wielding the Spirit of God’s separating steel?  Is the enemy outside your gates searching for inroads, waiting for you to suffer the fiery darts, or is he already clinging to the walls of your sanctuary having been graciously provided the foot holds of your unrequited sin?  Are you reserving your surrender for when conquered by the enemy’s intrigue or have you duly surrendered to the Righteous King?  The battle rages.  You may concern yourself elsewhere, ignore the foray or join the fray, but let us not remain persons in an act depicting a moment in reality.  Let us be alive in the hands of Almighty God, standing for what is Right and True.

My nonsense makes sense when used as camouflage, excuse or courage repellent.  In a dream I saw myself stepping forward when God beckoned, my booted steps, counting time to the march of my beating heart.  Readied, I plodded on into darkness, carrying the Light of God within that pounding heart.  My thoughts were of home, of His Face, of mansions waiting and time spent with those who understood love.  But then I woke and found that my dream did not match the real me, a clouded man, mistaken, hypocritical and brave in the back rooms of my own audience.  What then of that man that the Lord crafted, the transformed man, the new creature I’d become?  Was he lost or yet unfound?

This is the time for awakened purpose.  If to fight then to the field of battle, questioned answered, hearts resolved and circumstances or outcomes left to the day.  If to support then to the trucks and tables for service of them who brave that battlefield where victory waits.  If to thought and prayer then time for the bent knee, pouring out our spirit filled cries with language of the inner man, lifted faithfully to the waiting ears of God.  There is no more time for stories told, or retold memories of yesteryear.  For history matters not.  This is the day for which time has waited.  This is the parchment upon which history will reside.  This is the time, are you the man God created for this time?  Be that and more in the Hand of God.  Today.  In Jesus’ Name.

Wandering

Perchance may we take a wondering ramble down the unpaved streets of my not so intriguing thought process.  A – God could rid the universe of evil, dissolving sin and remaking the world, once again in perfect reflection of His image.  B – To do so would probably destroy all of us, since we have in us the seeds of evil intent that once germinated becomes full blown sin.  For those who don’t see themselves as evil please refer to Romans 3:23, where it is clearly established that there is not one of us righteous.  C – In destroying us the enemy would prevail by making God admit that his creation was fallible in that the enemy could institute the seeds of evil and man, being basically a failed creation would bring down the world themselves.  D – God Won this fight before it began, giving us the free will to make awful mistakes but also to make the choice of wanting Him over everything else utilizing that same gift of free will.  E – Heaven Bound.

However, that doesn’t explain why God needs us to share the Word of Truth.  Horrible realization of the awful truth is He doesn’t.  Needing and loving us are two entirely different things.  Remember He asked Job where he was when God created everything.  He set Job straight that God doesn’t need us it is the other way around, WE NEED HIM.  I would say desperately if it were the appropriate time, Oh wait it is the appropriate time, so DESPERATELY.  So, if He doesn’t need me what do I do with the idea that He has a purpose for my life?  Good Question.  I take a stab it though you will certainly have to go to God through the Holy Spirit to get anything other than my conjecture.  He Loves.  He Loves us so deeply that like any Good Father, He wants us to make good in life, but being that same Good Father, He knows that we will never do good without being given the choice to do wrong as well.  You see it is in the choice that we are made whole, our character achieved our battle’s won.  Without the choice there is no war.  Therefore, He knew everything the enemy would ever do, every thought, every act, every wicked act, yet He still created him.  Did you ever stop to wonder, why?

We are all necessary, the enemy’s prideful fall from heaven was necessary to allow the other angels to choose God, FREE WILL.  The enemy’s prideful act was instructive, that some men choose evil and many refrain, but all have been tainted by its poison intent.  A saviour was not just the gift, the saviour is a necessary gift, for there is no other way by which man might be cleansed of the seed of unrighteousness, except through a sacrifice.  In this case the sacrifice of someone, someone who chose to live a perfect life and give His life for the rest of us, that we might be cleansed, repair, redeemed and made whole.  That person was none other than God himself, stepping into the material plane, because of His Love for us.  We couldn’t save ourselves so He came and suffered the enemy’s chastisement, the best swing the enemy had in him, and God prevailed.  Jesus was that Saviour, that Sacrifice, That Man to save all humanity, through Free Will choice of God’s Will over his own.  Demonstrating to us that God didn’t need us but He sure did love us.

In Jesus’ Holy Name.

Assured

Freedom, joy, courage, character, Love, direction, peace, wisdom, understanding, surety, confidence, reason, fellowship, family, purpose, cleansing, character, strength, wealth, health, faith, support, relationship, depth, hope, quality, consistency, knowledge, insight, discernment, should I continue with the benefits of knowing Christ?

And I am willing to bet that you have a list as long or greater than my own of those positive effects of your relationship with the Lord through Jesus.  Considering the overwhelming positivity available to each of us how then could we even for a moment have a negative outlook concerning our place in this world or the next?  How is it possible that a Christian could be depressed for any reasonable length of time?  I mean we all get down because of the emotions surrounding negative events, but they should subside and they aren’t is there perhaps a larger difficulty?

When we are imbued with the aspects of the Holy Spirit and the benefits of surety associated with complete dependence on a Holy and Righteous God who promised he would never leave, then we become powerful as humans.  Yes, I said it we become powerful humans.  We are a peculiar people who laugh in the face of overwhelming challenges and have courage in the midst of chaos and empathy for those in difficulty, sickness or approaching death.  For we understand the implications of life and consequently death that faces each of us.  That knowledge again makes us an asset in worldly affairs.  Wait I thought we are not supposed to be in the world because we are not of the world?  Why do you think we are here, then?

If we are having a hard time with this live under the protection, provision and persistent promises of Almighty God, then how hard a time do you believe that unbelievers are having.  Sin is no fun, it ruins the man or woman behind its mask.  They know that, it is just that they don’t know anything different.  Well guess what, Glory be to God that He has designated us the mouthpiece of that wisdom to set them all free.  If you are sitting there enjoying the fruits of your relationship with God then honor Him and those gifts by discipling to every one you can.  If you are depressed then maybe you ought to review the list of positive gifts above, or perhaps make your own.  If you don’t know Christ then I wish you would listen to one of us so that you too can live that assured life in this world and the next.  In Jesus’ Name I pray.

This Day

Do you hear them proclaiming the Lord’s glory with every single chirp, warble and tweet.  Listen carefully to the song, all day long they tell us “God is wonderful”, “God is great” in their proclamation of thanks for the warmth, the water and the berries, nectar of the vine and flower.  How then do you perceive my song Lord?  Do I sing stanzas, cantatas and harmonies, lifting up your name for the ages to behold?  Do I give praise to all your characteristic blessings indelibly inked upon my heart?  Do I fumble through the litany of available words finding them inadequate to describe your Glory and my abashed representation or lack thereof?  If not worshiping God what then does my song include?

Sing to the Lord with all your might, power and passion.  Not carrying a tune but created a prayer, something similar to the crucial cry of the nightbird hawk.  How wonderful your pitch, perfect for the reason within the season, smelling of sweet cinammon and curried butter carried on the wind of the mornings calm.  Let me hear your heart, not just the words residing in the lobes of cranium, but the mysteries expressed only by the inner workings of hopeful spirit.  “I Love You Lord”.  And that love carries me, drives me, twisted and turned by the unseen breeze of Spirit’s call to fall deeply for you each day and dream of you at night.  You are the light, you are worthy of each and every fight, you are sight for the blind, salve for the worried mind, and faith for the friendless.  You are the call at dawn, the reason we are risen, forgiven, praising, is You.

For all that you are and that even which I cannot comprehend, I send my love in song, the voice of my heart, which your Spirit alone may convey, this day for You my King.  This day for you.

Not so loud

It was a really beautiful drive there, I went the rural route so it took me much longer.  It was a little dark by the time I got there, I had a lot of time before my event.  It was nice around, and relaxing to be like-minded people.  I often feel like I am at an attorney’s office, especially when I have a question to ask, especially when you don’t want them to hear it your privacy is gone.  I met many acquaintances that may become friends, it was nice because I don’t have anyone that wants to talk about Q.

Let me tell you about my friend.  A friend who loves you when the day is long and the song is perhaps a bit sad.  A person that reaches in to their meager circumstances and always finds the right gift.  A friend who prays for you even when you fail to listen.  A friend who loves even the silliness, the cheesiness and the bulldozer usage of words.  A friend who won’t stop loving you even when perhaps there is no reason for love.  Let me tell you about someone who hurts when you hurt, who angers at the things that bring fury to your heart, a friend who stands when you stand against against all odds.  Should I tell you about such a friend so that you might have hope that you might experience the same in your life and be as blessed as I have been to have my friend.  I think I should.

Lord let me be in the moment so that I might act appropriately for each of these saints you’ve given me.  Lord, let me escape my rash verbiage and understand the intricacies of modulation and the frequencies of gentleness and harmony.  Don’t let me always be the party crasher, because sometimes it is better to just give them the invitation you received in the mail.  Father, I want to be like you, not like me.  Give me that gift of removing me from me, so that I might honor these blessings you’ve bestowed upon my life and heart.  I am a grateful man. In Jesus’ Name.

The Dream

Father, I ask you to break the chains that bind me to those to whom I have offered leverage in my life.  For I cannot serve you freely bound by those responsibilities which do respect and revere you as my only Master, for I cannot serve two.  You alone are my King, not my house, my job, my friends, my church, my dog or my easy weekends.  I love many of them but cannot both serve their voices, their charge for my life and stay upon the skinny path you have lain before me.  Free me from that which I have been incapable of escaping so that I might serve in totality of heart, mind, body, soul and spirit.

This world continues to provide baited hooks, the sweet smells, visions and tastes of plenty, beckoning me to bite and be pulled from the rivers pulse to reside in a bucket til slaughter.  The call of pleasant bounty reside always around the bend for my collection, calling me forward toward a mythical point beyond my field of vision.  The tender whispers of intimacy promising comfort, safety and peace.  These are the things that speak the voice of my wounded man, leading me away from your provision of health, wealth and power to a diminished capacity of worldly consumption.  From these things I would be free.

Father, I know that the simple life of which I dream is a thing of mystery and deceit.  It promises a life of complacency, ease and little requirement and even though I know these things to be snares, they still capture my waking and dreaming thought.  How is that something we know to be untrue may continue to have some manner of attraction as to sideline saints or lull disciples into apathy?  Father give me singular focus and vision that keeps your face, your Height, Depth and Breadth fixed in my vision.  For all there is, is You.  You Are.  In Jesus’ Name.

Expression

Today was a good day.  How can you make that statement with no authority over its determination?  You mean it was only a good day because I determined, expressing my own authority to proclaim it so?  Let there be light!

We resemble the Lord, the Holy Trinity in so many ways yet we have enemies in self and sarcasm that continue to tell us how frail, palsied, finite, ugly, dumb, you get the picture.  This constant pressure, reminder and negative reinforcement causes to at some point accept that fate as our own.  I am what God says that I am.  Remember that.  Oh, you don’t know what God says that you are?  I am sorry let us look into that a bit.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:35-39

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? Psalm 118:6

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. Psalm 103:8

Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you. Isaiah 43:4-5

It is no joke that there are forces at play here on this Earth that would see us separated from God’s Love for eternity.  There are beings who would put us down to the point we fall and then stand on our backs telling us we are too unimportant to get up.  That is a LIE, it is a ploy a play a movie plot in this life meant to give us the struggle that leads us to crying out to God.  The only way to lose is not throw yourself at His feet seeking mercy, hope, help, salvation, grace and LOVE.  Love is what you will get from God each time you seek it.  He is a loving caring Father who wants us to be confident, assured and abundantly filled with His Spirit and the knowledge that He will always come to our aid, no matter what.

So, which will you believe?  The next time you hear that whisper that resembles your own voice or that shout that seems to be someone else’s, think for a second about what God thinks of you.  Remember He will never put you down, tell you that you are invaluable or castigate you for your inadequacies.  You can be assured that voice is someone other than the voice of the Good Shepherd.  He loves you and cannot wait to tell you so.  Some advice that you can do with what you will, but the next time you hear someone telling you bad things about yourself, tell to take to God who loves you so much He came to die so that you could be together for eternity.  Or just tell them that you only listen to one voice and unfortunately it’s not theirs.  God Loves you.  So do I.  In Jesus’ Name.

Walking away

Friends just come and go, it happens in the show, before I let them go, I hope that they still know, how much I love them all and appreciate the call, but now it’s time to go so let’s get on with the show.

You see this life is short, no time for grand retort, if you did it all for sport, the regret all comes pre mort, but none will disagree that the greatest things comes for free, so if you count yourself quite wise, your heart will be supersize.

Free love and choices made, your granddaughter’s hair to braid, the wealth will often fade, when put properly in the shade, we won’t be counting our gold but the treasures that we sold and the lives it helped to mold.

Run away from it if you must we all return to dust don’t get so worried and nonplussed about the mysteries we’ve discussed, just turn your head with a big grin and watch each episode begin.

Or stay if you can stand the glory and the pain, for the stain left upon each our hearts shall forever remain and the tremendous experiences that we gain will make the sadness smaller still than the memories that we fill.

Imaginable

Are we so busy look at the impossible that we forget to do what is right in front of us.  Perhaps God’s Will for my life is to feed the poor, heal the sick and house the orphan and widow right in front of me.  Sometimes I forget that some of us had to be meant for the small things and that is not some glorious grand, out of Egypt, miracle that we are going to be expected to produce.  Some times the miracle is just living your life for Christ in a way that brings honor to Him in your family and your community.

I am not saying that we shouldn’t hope and pray for God provision of miracles because we certainly should.  It is just that if we get to waiting around for some grand, Will for our lives and forget to do what He told all of us to do, we might be missing the first step on the path to the miracle’s provision.  That being said, who knows that which God has intended for each of us.  Is it likely that we will find God’s Will for our lives sitting here on our duffs at home or perhaps down the street taking care of elderly.  Is it possible that going on a mission trip is the way to complete the mission? Is it probable that we will find the mysteries that God has planned for us by sitting in the same ol’ same ol’? Unlikely.

My Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills.  I think that is great because it is Biblical but I am astounded that our Father owns all the solar systems in all the galaxies in the entire Universe and the infinite application of dimensions within that paradigm.  How is that I could ever be bored imagining that my part of that Plan is somehow insignificant?  Shouldn’t I first learn contentment with that which I have in order to get something more grand?  This is what I’ve got, it is a lot and since I have the toolbox of God’s infinite possessions, power and wisdom at my disposal, only the imagination can dictate the possible, right here, right now.  It really is in the thinking isn’t it?

Unthinkable? I think not.
