Could it be? They can see me sitting 50 feet up in this willow tree. They never look so I know its just the over firing nerves of a young man concealed.

Does this wind know me as it calls out my name. Forcing my grip a bit tighter as the branches swayed to and fro. Not scary simply just right.

This high from the ground the sounds were different and the smells of the farm passed by me without recognition. A bird called, probably took his spot.

Chickens running oblivious except to the next bug they were chasing in the grass, the dogs laid out cooling in the long Springtime grass. What a day.

Nobody knew but me, these things God gave me to see, all of them free, designed for my eyes alone, which is something I have always known well.

A pony sprinted from the small gathering of cattle and sheep as if to laugh at them for being so clunky and slow. They always had such big dog personalities.

I could see everything in the garage without a big door is was actually a carport but don’t ever mention that to Dad, he thinks its a garage for sure.

Somewhere my Brothers were up to no good and my Sisters were probably gossiping about the prettiest boy in school or how tough things were in life.

Didn’t know that I would make a difference in any life but my own, but what young man can guess this side of adolescence. I only knew the courage of being a boy.

Hidden in plain sight.
