Taking shape

Let’s be practical.  There is a lull in the, “what appeared to be steady march toward prophetical, end-times fulfillment.  This nation, home to the bulk of the world’s dwindling population, cried out to God in humility and faith.  God as always delivered on his promise to hear our cry from heaven and turn his face back toward our land, so that we might be healed.  What of it?  What shall become of this forbearance?  We know that the Bible predicts that there will be a one-world government, a one-world religion and an emerging ruler who will conquer by peace but eventually declare himself God and nearly shatter the world.  Since that must come how do we reconcile this reprieve, however brief with the inevitable prophetic fulfillment?

We can take a wait and see attitude, trusting God to work out all the details, comfortable through inevitability of scriptural promise.  This is the faithful route, but how should this divine intervention effect the worker output?  Any delay, ought not be looked upon as an opportunity to re-establish the norms and status quo for all things are determined in a direction well past event horizon of a return to normalcy.  Disambiguation has arrived, compelling forces drive us forward toward eternity and yet we remain governed by the keel of our free will to choose destination and reward.  If we know that the U.S. is not pictured in Revelation, then something pivotal, logically must impact the sovereignty of this Republic.  I believe in my gut that occurrence is the rapture of the believing church, which will leave America’s leadership decimated by the instant disappearance of a great swath of our nation’s leaders.  The only thing holding back an entire move toward ethical relativism and co-existent religion is the Holy Spirit of God indwelling each Christian.  The Bible is clear until this restraining spirit is removed the son of perdition may not be revealed.  Additionally, after God resoundingly defends Israel by destroying five sixth’s of the attacking armies, it is written that the world will never again deny that God exists.  Therefore it is paramount that this respite be used appropriately and efficiently to spread the Good News of Christ like wild-fire throughout the world while time remains.

Rapture is coming.  We will not be here for the Wrath of God poured out upon this disobedient Earth, but that does not permission us to forget that we may drag, pull, convince and plead with others to come with us into God’s rest.  This delay if it indeed is a momentary pause in God’s Plan, ought be prized for the obedient opportunity it has become.  I do not wish to stand in front of Christ, giving an account for an unfulfilled, inconsequential, disobedient and wasted Christian life.  My joy is found in other’s knowing the grace, peace and love of Christ.  I refuse to go timidly into history.  If I must leave boldly then let it be proclaiming his love at the top of my lungs with my very last breath as I am called homeward.  Nothing else will suffice.  We see the events emerging before us.  We see the signs that indicate his return is nigh upon us.  How then, armed with such defining knowledge may we ever proceed with a sense of nonchalance.  Look to the heavens your redemption draws near.  Make straight you path for the Kingdom of God is here.  In Jesus’ Holy Name.  Amen.
