Do I really want to continue in my sin, resisting or dismissing the Holy Spirit’s conviction, knowing the glory of what God has promised if I repent and follow Christ? Can I justify my argument with God, for that is what my disobedience, resistance and denial have become? Do I truly wish to be back in a conflict with God, having been redeemed and set right with God by Christ’s sacrifice. Wouldn’t I rather bask in the lack of condemnation afforded those of us who have accepted our walk with Jesus? I am sorry folks, I will not be able to fulfill your dream for my life as this one is meant for service in God’s Holy Name. I must forgo your approval as I know that it entails winning all the silver, gold and accolades available to worldly men. That is not my destiny. Would that I could fill your eyes with joy at my care for the sick, lost and dying, but these things do not impress you. To me these things are my greatest joy, to know in some manner I have lent honor to God’s glory in an effort to the love those whom He created for salvation.

How about you? Are there behaviors to which you know you should not be participating, yet you avoid detection, accountability or surrender in an effort to squeeze a bit more from the apple of life? What price the guilt which burdens your heart and mind, for you know we can never fully lock it away in a vacuum? How good would it feel to lay down your arms, trusting in God to relieve your burden? What prize is so valuable that it would be even minutely worth the loss of God’s blessings or sustained reward? Can you let go and if not will you lay down your pride for a moment knowing that you truly need some help to break free? You have never been alone. There truly are people, opportunities and paths to take that safely lead away from danger, directly to His waiting arms of peace, security and hope. Do you have the courage to embrace a destiny which has no comparison to those satisfactions available in worldly pursuits? You were fearfully and wonderfully made for a specific and unique purpose to the fulfillment of God’s Supreme Glory. A pursuit that will bring you “complete” satisfaction absent in this vaporous existence.

I do not wish to cry the long heard sobs of a man realizing that he missed his calling by choice. When I look in to those eyes of Glory I want to see that I utilized every ounce of God given grace to reach for the stars. That will be my reward, having lived a life without regret associated with missed opportunities whether by neglect, decision or inaction. How do we reach the pinnacle of God’s intention for our lives. That is our journey through study, prayer, relationship and trial, following Christ down the path of fulfillment. Where will yours lead? I do not know but I am certain it will be exciting, rewarding, difficult and yes, entirely worth the effort, investment and work. Praise God for the purpose He designed specifically for you. That simple concept continues to amaze, that He would craft each of us, with our unique fingerprints, gifts, DNA and attitudes to fulfill some particular aspect of His plan for humanity. Oh what a wondrous God that we serve. In the Name of Jesus, the Lord.

Courage or cowardice

Battles are never won without courage and an attitude of long suffering, for they shall neither be begun nor completed. The Lord requires us to stand, prepared for battle, suffering, loss and, yes a continued resolve to remain upon the solid Rock of His foundation. We should always anticipate victory, but not that it conforms to our own vision, ideal or anticipated personal or prolonged outcome but on that which is consistent with God’s Good Will. My job is to stand in faith-inspired courage and know that God will see me through whatever valley, battle, chaos or objective, that He has set before me. For I am not my own, my life belongs to Jesus as He gave His in proxy of my own condemnation. I truly grasp the impact of the term, forgive for I do not know exactly know who said it, “He died my death so that I might live His life”. What I owe Him is the courage and patience to stand against the storm, wielding the sword of His Word, knowing that He will provide for both if I but show some measure of faith and devotion.

As an Ambassador for Christ I must understand the equivalent detrimental impact upon those in my sphere of influence brought on by my demonstrated cowardice or inaction. I am a Prince and a Priest, a joint heir to the Kingdom of God, shared in faith with the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. I must understand the gravity of my position and take it seriously that I am a representative for Almighty God Himself, betrothed as the Bride of Christ, standing in stead for His leadership, rule and reign upon this planet. There is no one else to accept that coveted charge to action and intercessory prayer. What I do or do not do has effect and I should neither take it lightly nor ignore the obvious impact upon the furtherance of the Gospel Message. God called me and it is up to me to answer that calling, being empowered for the completion of the potentially impossible tasking I have been given.

Do not look away Brother, do not listen to the false whispers of necessary fear. These are the enemy sirens leading you to complacency and absence from the call to battle. God did not give us the spirit of fear but of “love, power and a sound mind”. A sound mind at this point in history demands, “preparation, study, prayer and meditation” upon the character, Will and aspects of God’s Righteousness. Be courageous and know that you stand here for Almighty God and He will never forsake you, especially in the midst of exercising His Plan for mankind. Show us your mustard seed and God will always magnify your capacity to fulfill His Will. Blossom in the Hand of Almighty God. Jesus Be Praised.

Sense Fitters

How utterly boring to conform to a world view that screams to all, the innocent and the brave, “survival of the fittest”. What manner of hysteria has overtaken humanity that the secularists may proclaim, “diversity” at all costs yet subscribe to the elimination of anything that resembles lesser gene orientation? For the sake of their beloved, “tolerance” they would eliminate every Christian and Jew on the planet. How then was their objective tolerance?

By their own religion, evolutionism, they would have us believe that Stephen Hawking should have been destroyed for his ailments, rather then adored, cherished and interviewed as a dynamic creation of Almighty God. In Hitler’s Germany, he would have been destroyed out of Hitler’s desire to usher in the “perfect race” that evolutionism promises. It is only through the Grace of God, having been born in a Judeo-Christian nation, that he has been protected and supported in to becoming a well known, respected scientist.

Of greater interest is his apparent denial for the existence of God and the impact his argument has on the general population. Here is the difference between Christian and Evolutionist; the Christian will pray for him, hoping that God choose to have mercy on him by removing the veil that separates him from God and the Evolutionist will embrace his defiant stance, while worshiping him for his scientific denial of God’s existence and simultaneously being disgusted by his weakness in disfigurement.

Victory of the strong lacks the greatest power available in this lifetime, that being mercy and compassion, both born of love. If only the strong survived then my life would never have been blessed by most of my tremendous friends and colleagues. I do not doubt that I would have been included in that list of the weak. I cherish the weak, love the innocent and pray that God gives me the abundance to dispel the poverty and illness of the unfortunate. Those who resist God not only lack reason but they also lack heart.

Would you be the one to evolve and show the world your newly emerged mental competencies? That is just the same old pursuit attempted and judged by your predecessor in an attempt to replace God upon His throne. We all wish to do magic, use telekinesis and practice transformation of energies and matter. Why do we wish to have these powers? Isn’t it for the same reasons that any other tyrant, bully or would-be emperor desired greater authority, prowess or militaristic projection? I fail to see that we have evolved as a species at all, as we continue to do the same horrid things to each other throughout the ages, indeterminate of who is in power.

Would a reign under your newly evolved capacity be any different? How then would life be to the recently evolved, suddenly set apart from the rest of humanity? Would you rise to control of the masses or possibly be eradicated as “different” or odd? As with most liberal theory this idea of evolution of the human race is strong on imagination and absent empiricism. If survival of the fittest were law not theory, then the gene pool of man would certainly have been cleansed of any weak aberrations by this point in our “so called” evolutionary cycle.

Being and growing in resemblance to Christ is a walk in victory. This is the true trans-formative advancement of humanity. We begin to utilize the qualities of the Holy Spirit, understand the fear-dispelling courage of Christ and possess a sacrificial love for fellow man. Christ never faded when the Father’s Will was at stake, he never faltered to do what must be done, even when it challenged the impossible. Christ resisted the enemy throughout a lifetime of assault, the likes of which none of us could begin to comprehend. Jesus, could have been worshiped here on Earth, by calling forth legions of angels to dispel His enemies and protect Him, yet He chose to be humiliated for the fulfillment of God’s Holy Plan for humanity. That is the sacrificial courage of a kind that we are all called to emulate, standing in the face of total loss and fulfilling each of our personal destinies to the Glory of God’s Will. Jesus had all the power and glory at His disposal yet “chose” not to use it out of love for the Father and love for us. We must never downplay the power of choice, for this is the freedom associated with true love.

I love God and I love my fellow humans. Yes, even my enemies, for they still possess the opportunity to choose Christ. When that opportunity is removed and they are truly among the damned I will pray for God’s mercy upon their souls but they will become unlovable. That is why I have no love for the powers and principalities that continually defy God, for they have no love in them, no saving Grace of God, no chance at redemption. They are simply, wood for the fire, as Jesus has portrayed them. I will not practice the impoverished thinking of those intent on denying God, whether by science, religion, mysticism or self-help. There is no master race, no evolved species, no elitist group elevated to pious position. There are only those who have chosen to obey God and those who defy Him. I pray that you not be found sitting on the fence or worse yet blaspheming the Holy Spirit in denial of Christ when God finally says, pencil’s down, pass your papers to the front.

His Glorious Name

Convenant, an agreement with promises relating to specific conditions. Who would like to show me one instance where God has not come through on His covenant promises? This is the common and comedic failure of atheist, preterist and false teacher, for none may show how God even once diverted from His declared prophecy, when covenant conditions were satisfied. This produces the second fallacy that “all roads lead to God” for God says emphatically, repeatedly and definitively that they do not.

He wants a Holy, set apart and genuine people born of faith in His righteousness, even to the point where He has already once reduced their numbers to eight protected flood survivors. There are none who can show sufficient evidence that what He says shall come to pass is unlikely or improbable. Even the scientist must concede that the best indicator of future action is past performance. With respect to God, He has always done what He said He would do and everything that He said would happen, has. That should fill us with hope, determination and desire to follow through on our part of the covenant conditions. The war with God is over for them who will repent, believe and follow Him.

What then of Israel? Every single prophetic prediction with regard to His Covenant People has transpired exactly as He said that it would. Even now He is gathering from every nation to return to the land He granted them, where He will bless them, cleanse them and once again turn their hearts back to Him. This is so difficult for others to comprehend because they continue to focus upon Israel forgetting the promises were made them by God. Just as with every Christian who has been saved for eternity by the blood of Christ, the Jewish Nation will not be delivered through their own works or righteousness but by the Promises of God to His Good Glory. They, like us, will continue to fail until that moment they finally see His righteousness and once again remember their birthright as the olive tree. Read Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Romans and Matthew and you will see that in God’s perfect timing He will again turn His primary focus on saving the Nation of Israel for eternity. Even now the forces against them are mounting in preparation for their destruction, this will be stopped suddenly by God Himself to declare once and for all to the Nations the Glory of God’s Promises, Righteousness and Sovereignty. All those who curse Israel do so at their own peril for it is with God Himself they will be pitted into hopeless battle.

Who then believes in a future of roses and continued blessings for the United States as we continue to fall short of the covenant conditions. Especially in our continued ebb of support for Israel. In our glib and flippant treatment of a God, who has never once failed to follow through on promised judgment, we are challenging the Almighty to “do something”, when it is us who should immediately and unconditionally repent. There is no consensus here, no common ground, no bargaining or negotiation. The terms of God’s covenant were set by Him, monitored by Him and enforced by Him as He is the only dependable Sovereign Truth available in this or any universe. If we continue to pursue our own means against the covenant of a Holy God, who has never once failed to follow through on what He predicted, then we will certainly deserve every consequence in Righteous Judgment. We then alone can be blamed for our failure to anticipate the coming storm and seek shelter under the wings of Almighty God through Jesus.

God is Holy, Righteous and True and with Him we should never trifle. Hallelujah He has prescribed the path to salvation for each of us to clearly follow, so that we might be protected from His overwhelming Wrath in all its Righteous, Glory and Justice. We the faithful depend on the promises of God, not upon our sight. My eyes, ears and heart might be deceived but never my faith for it is firmly rooted in the steadfast promises of Almighty God. He is faithful to complete the work He first began in each of us. Glory to God in the Highest. Jesus is Lord.

Prepared

Delighting in a child’s smile is not the same as making them smile. Observing, wishing well is not the same thing as lending a hand. The sidelines is not the place for an heir to the kingdom of heaven, we were meant to be in the game. Where is the game, you ask? This is where local churches and I quickly depart, as they are unwilling to answer the following questions; How many orphans live within a half mile radius of your church?, How many widows live within a half mile radius of your church?, How many missionaries/volunteers from your church are actively serving at the local hospitals, old folks homes, orphanages, prisons and homeless shelters? The Christian ministry is associated with “Walking” in each and every image or discussion of the new testament. It requires “action” to be an obedient ambassador for Christ. Don’t you want to be delighted before Christ in accounting for your life as you review the pictures, memories and emotions associated with “walking” with the Holy Spirit through this life? This is the time preparing for the harvest. As with any farm there is much work to be done and we are the workers, whether preparing the ground, planting seeds, weeding, fertilizing, watering or cultivating, this is the work of any Christian.

Do I know my neighbors? If I don’t how do I expect to demonstrate Christ in my own life? How do I expect them to know who is available when this world gets too tough for them to bare? How do I expect to have the opportunity to share Christ in those brief moments of relationship, if there in fact has never been any attempt on my part to form a relationship? How do I expect the Holy Spirit to speak to them through this vessel unless I am willing to provide an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to use me in the lives of those that live nearby? What manner of a success plan is this that I am following? It certainly makes no sense and most likely does not follow the orderly, sensible and logical reflections of God.

What are my goals with regard to sharing the Gospel message with people that I know or meet? Do I believe that without any preparation for sharing the message that I will “out of the blue” effectively share the message of salvation in the moments when they arrive? What intentions do I have with regard to helping the church to reach those in my neighborhood? Have I seen the Mormon Elders in my neighborhood and dodged them, effectively missing an opportunity to share Christ with them on my doorstep, because I am too bothered to be an ambassador? Do I use that old excuse that I do not know the Bible well enough to share my testimony, so I will leave it to those who have the skill to share the Gospel? Do I truly believe that “being a slave to righteousness” is meaningless and that I owe nothing for the price of my salvation? Can I disobey the command of God to share the message of salvation, judgment and the coming Kingdom of God without some manner of repercussion in this life or the next?

Have I once discussed with my pastor how I might best be used with or outside the church to further God’s plan for my life? Do I quickly leave the church to avoid any opportunity to get involved or be known for my walk? What do I wish to be remembered for when I leave this planet? I struggle with being accepted, even in the church I am ridiculed for my willingness to share the Gospel message with all people. This is my tiny piece of sharing in the suffering of Christ. If I must be a gadfly within the church body raising concerns about our complacent hearts then let it be so for I am not here to serve the church but Christ whom saved me. I know this that I have never felt so good as when I got in the game and gave it my all, even in temporary loss. The only regret is to never have attempted sharing the Gospel. I am inadequate to the task but that does not free me from the obligation to do my best to learn the Gospel, discipleship and counseling so that when God calls upon me to play that part. If God has not yet called upon me to fulfill His plan for my life then I must be in the period of preparation for said calling. Don’t be scared, be prepared. Praise God for Jesus Christ the King of everything.

Two-minute drill

There are many who practice the ministry of satan, gradually leading believers and the lost away from the truth through incremental deception. “You will not certainly die if you eat of the fruit of that tree, you will be like God”, should echo in our ears each time we are faced with convincing scientific or theoretical argument beckoning us away from Christ. Science, rhetoric and analysis are wonderful tools to be used in our quest to better understand the world around us, but they should never be implied adequate at explaining, denying or rationally defining God. Faith is faith, belief without proof, internal knowledge, given by the Holy Spirit telling us that no matter the background noise or attempts to convince us otherwise, God remains Sovereign upon His throne and that all things, including the enemy’s efforts, work together for the Good of His Will.

The efforts of the enemy are increasing in frequency, potency and breadth of intended audience. We must remember that satan knows this battle has been lost and can only take some twisted satisfaction in taking as many humans down with him, especially those who counted themselves believers. Oh Praise God that He loves us so much that He would consider it loss if any of us are separated from Him for eternity. Let us not forget that God created satan even though He knew every action that satan would ever take. That says something about the confidence of our Creator and should provide us the ammunition to remain faithful and mindful of who is in charge in the universe. As the night approaches, our reverence for Almighty God should spark us to continual action.

The clock of God’s Plan is at five minutes to midnight, time is winding its way to exhaustion where the Lord will intervene to judge wickedness and eradicate sin. That translates to the need of special vigilance on the part of teachers, disciples, believers and those who have been sitting upon the fence in indecision. The time for demonstrative action and awareness is not just upon us dwindling toward finality. It is not my job to dislike or judge humans it is my job to warn them how to escape sin’s incarceration, the disasters of tribulation and God’s inevitable/imminent judgment of wickedness.

Am I doing my job, am I effectively pleading with humanity to come to the knowledge of Christ? Am I vigilante in my awareness, intention and action for the coming Kingdom of God? Does the enemy wish I would go away, employing human and realm tactics to limit my efficacy? Am I suffering for Christ as He suffered for me? Do I have an active, open and authentic relationship with Christ, such that He would recognize me as His? The time for participation has not yet passed but is decreasing in scope and possibility. Will you answer the call that God has placed upon your heart, will you follow His Word which has been written upon it? There is enough evidence for the existence of God to dispel each and every posed argument, yet this is not paramount. It is impossible for us to please God without faith, so faith is what He requires. Which do we believe is more effective in leading others to Christ; my effective oration and arguments for God or a life openly lived in kindness, love and steadfast dependence upon the truth of Christ in God?

Tolerance-the wedge of deception

At what point in our national history did self-evidence fall to strangling grasp of epistemology? Do we no longer believe that all men are created equal and that they have been endowed by that same Creator with certain unalienable rights? This exercise in tolerance has contorted our culture to near breaking point. To allow for the probability and expression of every minority view, we have set our selves on a foundation correcting course of revisionist history. We can no longer believe what we believe if it does not give equal and sufficient voice to “every” perspective seated around the table. All may say the pledge of allegiance to a flag, an ideal, a guiding principle if at the same time they learn and chant the mantras of even their enemy’s flag, concept and moral doctrine.

This commits our children to a permanent vacillation of self image by forcing them to embrace the facts that all men may not be created equal if their creator was evolutionary astronomical probability. It detaches their thinking from reality to consider that maybe all fish, animals, microbes, heterogeneous mammals and ideas are equal before this nebulous commitment to a tolerance of every thought, however preposterous. It begs them to question those rights we have traditionally fought to uphold that we are all free to pursue life, liberty and happiness. It forces us to eventually turn against the historically conservative to solidify the authority of “tolerance” as the new dogma for proper thinking. Eventually it commits us to conformity to the most charismatic speaker present in the global, media dynasty as entire populations follow the voice that most closely heralds the desire of the internal urges. Thus the efficacy of radical Islam as they are handed the fuel to fire the angry inferno brewing in their own dissatisfaction with current economic and social dilemma. Point in case the German population being captured in pursuit of that which we all abhor in those moments of reflection. When we adhere to the self evident principles of Creator endowed equality we rarely go astray from righteous behavior, but when we depart from that foundation we fall into catastrophe, such as the misery of allowable enslavement of any race, creed or nation group. This idea of tolerating, then embracing the views of the highest bidder, special interest or even the most abstract and minor, audacious religion or ideal is guaranteed collective destruction. For we cannot depart from those ideals which have brought us good fortune, simply to acknowledge a politically correct imposition of the ridiculous without losing the benefits of that time tested and assured foundation.

Truth maintains the probability of effective national harvest. As truth is tortured by the whims of opinion, dogma and abstract ideal, weeds, poisons, insects and the ravages of natural disaster damage the potential yield of collective productivity. Once we have forgotten or willingly strayed from those things which we believed to be “self evident” then the foundation to which we collectively committed begins to crumble and eventually collapse. This abstractly imposed, survey bound tolerance is the wedge being driven beneath moorings and pylons of our national edifice. All men who believe that they have been endowed by the Creator with equality and unalienable rights must return to that same Creator in humility, repentance and re-commitment in order to forestall this deconstruction of that which was shaped in His expert Hand.

Trumpets

Repent and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins and you will be given the Holy Spirit of God, sealing you for eternity and redeeming you to relationship with Almighty God.

So simple a thing so hard to accept. They will accept that extra-terrestrials seeded Earth or somehow brought about the great flood and that vampires/werewolves freely walk among us, but they refuse outright the evidence of Sovereign God. Is not God “extra” terrestrial, did He not reach His hand into humanity through fire, cloud, prophet, parted waters, brimstone and flood. The difficulty is not in accepting something that is too difficult to understand but in making ourselves of secondary importance for worship. I think therefore I am the center of the universe. Pride is a powerful narcotic.

If I acknowledge God then I have to disobey God because I cannot possibly obey His commands which are entirely inconsistent with my self actualization. Therefore I will do my best to deny His existence and persecute His people, thus nullify His authority and judgment. This is standard practice in today’s society, commit sin then simply act like it didn’t occur repeating a practiced lie as frequently/loudly as you possibly can to countermand justice. That certainly coincides with the definition of irrational thinking?

I cannot deny that my worldly Father exists to avoid the punishment he would most assuredly deliver for disobeying his house rules. Nor can I simply forgive, explain away or dismiss the repercussion of nefarious or criminal action just because I do not wish to acknowledge the authority of the law to judge my actions. This is man’s predicament with God. To forgo His offer of salvation is guaranteed damnation, self prescribed separation from our Creator for eternity. There is great danger in toying with the portents and purveyors of deception. Pride is hypnotic.

Why are men going hungry, because me and friends refuse to care enough to go and share our food? Why do children go orphaned when there are thousands of churches in each State, tasked by God to watch over them? Well most certainly it is because we think ourselves above that command or perhaps we feel that God meant for someone else to do it when He was pointing directly at you and me. Why do the lost go uneducated to things of God, having not known salvation because we are unwilling, too busy or frankly disinterested in sharing the Gospel message with which we have been entrusted? What Ambassador would ever expect to keep his job having not even attempted to establish productive relations with the host country. We are not citizens of the world, only ambassadors of God’s Kingdom sent to share invitation. Do we understand the difference between a request and an order, or perhaps between a piece of wood upon the wall and the Sovereign King of the Universe? Pride whispers, “he is not referring to me”.

I repent because I am bent, corrupted, poisoned and chained. I run because I am in fear, of death being near, so I steer my wagon away from the chasm, in spasm I drive directly toward the abyss from which God has just relieved me. Of what then is my courage made? Will it simply fade when time for price and passion is paid? Will my judgment be stayed, when my last breath is made and I haven’t done the work to make the grade? Can I afford to look into the fiery eyes of the Lord knowing I kept my gifts stored for a season or reason that never came? Is He then to blame for what I have ignored, forgotten or simply chosen to never do? I cannot abide my denied pride for it opens me wide to all manner of hateful and disobedient sin. Let’s be awake for majesty’s sake. Jesus Christ my savior and my King.

Judgment is shown harshly to those who have not mercy.
The demons believe in one God, how different is your belief if you have no works as demonstration of your perfected faith?
Spirit fills the body with life, works give life to faith.
The teacher that stumbles endangers others, teaching ought not be undertaken lightly for fear of greater judgment.
The tongue tells the truth within ones heart. The tongue may not be controlled by the flesh for it possesses all manner of evil, yet is used to bless God.
Wisdom is demonstrated through gentle works steeped in its uses.
Jealousy and ambition are not Godly motivations.
The peacemaker will sow in righteousness those things born of the wisdom from heaven.
Wars and squabbles are born of our lusts.
We receive no blessing or answer to prayer because our requests are made in fulfillment of lusts.
Friends of the world are God’s enemies.
Grace is meant and freely given to the humble, while God resists the proud.
Obey God and resist the devil and you will be free of him.
Sinners should cleanse their hands and doubters purify their hearts.
Weep over your woeful position and in your humility God will lift you up.
Do not speak ill of Brothers for judgment is not our authority but God’s alone.
Do God’s will after consulting God.
Self aggrandizement is evil.
If you know God’s will and don’t do it this is sin.
The wicked have received their worldly pleasure that will fade, rust and be eaten by moths.
You have lived an easy life and in so doing participated in the condemnation and voluntary death of Christ upon the Cross.
Wait upon the coming of the Lord, do not lose heart in today’s despair.
The prophets endured through patience in God’s unfolding plan for humanity and we consider them blessed for doing so.
Don’t swear, say yes or no and mean it, thus avoid being counted among the hypocrites.
If you are ill ask the elders for anointed prayer for healing and/or forgiveness and it will be granted by God.
Confess to each other and pray.
A righteous man may accomplish much through fervent prayer.
Those who turn back sinners to truth from sin should know that they have saved a soul from death and covered many sins.

Father forgive me if I have improperly portrayed any of Your thoughts. Let me only speak that which is correct and right in Your eyes. Let us be healed through the knowledge of Your Word and the forgiveness of our sins. Thank you Lord Jesus.

Fill my heart with forgiveness, love and focus upon the righteous things of God. There is only so much space in our hearts and minds for the inconsequential emotions and frustrations of this world. Anger, bitterness and despair, rob me of the space necessary to see the harvest of God’s planting, growth and change within. I don’t want to remember the horrible things that have happened to me throughout this life. I have no time to contemplate my anger and reserved grudges for the people who have betrayed me in the past. As with most things in this life the catalyst is “choice”, choosing to let go of those things that consume, instead deciding to concentrate on those aspects of life which generate positive affect. Do not mistake that I have in any way been able to accomplish this “house cleaning” via my own efforts, that work must be attributed to the Lord’s Healing Hand in my life. However, as with any surrender I had to choose to give up, give in, throw my hands up, throw the cupboards of my life wide open for the Lord’s Cleansing.

I rejoice that I have been set free of the bondage of negative emotions and memories. They no longer clog my thinking, eroding or sapping my energy as I now contemplate only the productive subjects of life. What is gained by my concentration upon past hurts, unless it is reflection upon the wound in order to let the Doctor in to heal them? I used to believe and perhaps you share this thinking that I somehow punished those who hurt me by concentrating upon their betrayal and either banishing them from my life or continually holding them accountable for historical misbehavior. This is falsehood perpetrated by ignorant flesh and the enemy, for it instead relegates believers to hardship, despair, lost relationships and diminished joy. These are not the facets of victorious living. Fill your heart with forgiveness and be set free.

Is there evidence of the sealing and indwelling of the Holy Spirit in my life? Do I exhibit unusual patience, forgiveness, long suffering, kindness, gentleness and peace in circumstances that call for loss of control? To what thinking have I aligned my life and heart? Am I concentrating on all the righteous, pure, holy, graceful and kind things of Christ’s reflection or do I remain a captive of the loss in my past? What has become of my heart? Has this change been inhibited by my own unwillingness to choose life, forgiveness and peace? Do I truly wish to be set free through the Grace of God or have I chosen to remain imprisoned by the ill will of the past? The choice is mine, be filled with Spirit and forgive or become increasingly more bitter as my poisonous past festers, clogging my memory, growth, mind and heart.

Lord Jesus, cleanse me, wash over me, cut all my bonds and set me free. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I might reflect Your Heart. Thank you.
