LAST DAY

Hear the Word of God. Salvation is not a toy, a label, a clique, a cult or a dream. It is ending the War between you and God. It is forgiveness for all that you’ve done and will do. It is not a doctrine of doing some great deeds to earn God’s Love. It is done by God not by you. Your responsibility is to believe, truly believe and walk as if you truly believe that you could never and can never save yourself from death, hell and the things to come. It is a total belief even in moments of doubt that God is the only way to escape the chains of this life found in our sin against Him. God sent His Son to live the life we must suffer through and do it perfectly then sacrifice Himself, voluntarily to pay the debt incurred by our sins. This gift is the only thing that separates one man from the next. When we choose to accept that gift we are now protected, changed, born again of Heavenly seed to withstand all the assaults of evil with courage and a certain understanding of our everlasting life to come.

Now the hard part. We cannot clean ourselves of the poisons and filth of this world. It is something once again that may only be accomplished by God, through His indwelling Spirit and the Constant/Continual relationship between Him and each believer. We are here to suffer the tests of this fallen world and in so doing see the remaining defects of sin within our Earthly bodies to offer them daily before the King to have them removed as dross from purifying metals. Yes, some day, that wonderful day we will be cleansed completely and receive our Heavenly Bodies in glorification, the moment Christ removes us from this world to be with Him forever. Many believe that this represents rapture and the Bible is very clear just as the Old Testament was very clear that the Messiah would come to Earth Twice. There is no other currently known and understood way for the obedient church to be removed before the dispensation of Wrath and judgment upon the wickedness of Earth’s Dwellers. There is no other way to present an environment so dangerous and desperate to force all who remain conscious to make a decision for or against Christ.

Why do we always push things to the point where we are forced to consciousness? Well, in my words it is my own propensity towards pride and disobedience. Somehow though it is a foolish position with no supporting evidence I believe that I know better than the scripture and the Word God placed upon my heart. For some reason I crave the sinful realization of the momentary sensory fulfillment found in adoration of my sin. I want what I want when I want it how I want it disregarding the logic and inescapable import of God’s Will upon me. What is coming is inevitable. What is coming is coming soon. Believers and unbelievers alike must face the same fact in the absolute primacy and imminence of Christ’s return. We must either decide to obey and follow the direction of His indwelling Spirit or choose to go another route. As a believer the joy found in obedience is righteousness and certainty in the dispensation of God’s Power found only in the Holy Spirit. It is a seal against the wiles of the enemy and a sureness found in the understanding, knowledge, love and faith in Jesus Christ and a protection against the dangers of false doctrine or deception. For those who do not believe or choose to disobey and backslide it is an inclusion in the reward of the Earth Dwellers and those predetermined for everlasting separation from God in the Lake of Fire.

The choice is yours, the days are upon us whether you see, don’t see, heed of don’t obey. This naturally then is nearing the end of the time of preparedness offered all men. The days of decision and action based on belief or the days of self-service and idol worship to fulfill the quests of the fallen heart within our mortal man. It is a time that most will never even consider using wisely, sparingly and urgently to get right with God. That is why God’s prophetic word says the before He returns the Spirit of Elijah will come calling us to a righteous walk and returning our hearts to the Father. The time of the Covenant fulfillment of the Jews is nearing where they will find Grace in the Holy Spirit. For that time to arrive the time of the Gentiles must he completed. We are in that time. Therefore this is the last call for all men to make a decision for or against Christ or remain indifferent which will accomplish the same as an adverse choice of Grace. There is no escape but God through Christ in the Holy Spirit’s Power. There is no other decision as important. There is no other time to make that choice and find yourself prepared for Christ’s retrieval and return for rule and reign. There is no other message more important or worthy of action. This is the day for which each of us was made. How will you spend your last days?

Only One

Looking to my love for you, compared to the one God first showed me I am ashamed at how poorly I’ve loved this world. There is no justice in the peace you preach, no safety in the coverage you offer the vulnerable, no pride in the law you dispense calling for order. You embrace chaos as if it were solace or tranquility. Embellishing every lie with truth to somehow sell this abomination to the simple. What then is the prediction of your objective? Relative destruction, absolute tranquility in lifelessness, hope in all things unbelievable.

The rub is none of that is my duty, but the love I am meant to show you despite your indwelling demons. Friend of the dark that you are, the time limit is not my own, but the countdown Almighty has ordered. You will find your end in shame, regret and the maddened fires of pitch and satin black, but none of that is my prerogative or passion. Where you go will be determined by your failure or success in acknowledging God’s offer, not by how I feel you’ve erred or come to reason. My only wish is to let you know how much you are truly loved.

There is no margin where my purpose concerned. No dawn to the fog within my thinking. I have no excuse to offer but only the apologies for failure or self-aggrandizement. There can be no failure in loving. For when it is offered something perfect ensues. Even when denied or forsaken love changes hearts, minds and matter. There is no end with love only beginning. No forgotten repose no faltered fealty only sacrifices or self-concern. Just as in life one may not choose separate or competing passions for in love sacrifice is natural, normal and will always prevail. Those who know not the purpose or have never known the truth in love forever, claim they’ve found it only to see at solemn conclusion that they never knew God’s Love.

Yet, I kneel before His Throne. Broken in my spirit, by the lack of interest when judgment is first found. For to look upon a man in worth or unloving candor I am stricken by my own equation to God in presuming that any man beyond the depth of His eternal Hand. This is not my world; I did not eat of the fruit desiring equality or superiority to Creator. Why then would I continue to fail as such perfect works, loving every child, every man or woman for the creation God devised for His Good Glory. Their fate is not my dilemma but the aspirations of Jonah in disobedience to deliver the Hope eternal to all who would listen, leaving their repentance before them and their salvation to the only one who May, Jesus Christ the King.

Embrace

Clinging to the neck of Mother Bird feels so right and fine. Yet, as she is forced to move to live her life each child is acquainted with the inevitability of the broken connection which may or may not be restored. What is relationship? Is it the constant yearning for the connection or is it the confidence that at some points we will feel the brief/sustained embrace, warmth, comfort and love of that union with the person of our origin? What is the personal responsibility in establishing, maintaining, protecting and honoring the moments and the period between those times of shared interaction?

What changes? Is it everything or is there something in our universe that is outside the effects or periods of broken connection? Obviously, all of creation continues to change, entropy, decay and eventually die. This is the same with knowledge for it may be adjusted to reflect the acquisition of new updates adding to or reshaping the realm of experience. The power and authority of information is to know how to rapidly benefit from or adjust to those inevitable changes in order to somehow become personally improved or edified. However, this ability to change depends fully upon a choice. Knowing, believing and honoring that within the realm/reality of constant flux there is one thing that Never Changes. GOD.

Can you embrace God too much that He breaks the connection for purposes of health? NO. Therefore, the embrace and relationship with God is the only sustainable connection available to each child to become adult to find our way back to Him at ending. Why then in stark contrast to our yearning for connection do we seek to do it on our own, struggling, fidgeting, yearning to break free from the embrace of the one that that never changes? It makes no sense and yet it makes sense for purposes eternal and temporary. However, recognizing these facts begs the question: What would happen if I never sought disconnection from the connection, relationship and embrace of God?

What then is the process by which, through which a man or woman may both establish a consistent connection with the source of stability while venturing and experiencing the trials, education and shaping necessary to achieve relative perfection in each human experiment? Do I personally benefit exponentially from being in constant connection with Almighty? What is the precise or best determined, sweet spot so to say, where God and I are tethered, yet I remain free to master the toolset and freedoms that make a robust man? That is the wonder that astounds the angels, the tether of Spirit, a bond never upset, never disengaged, never interrupted based upon the promises of the One Person who does not change, Almighty Father God.

Contrary to worldly dissolution, the Trinity provides an unchanging relationship between Creator and little C, creation that answers the states unavailable in the realms of constant decay or change. Basically, this relationship by nature is defined by its freedom from the hands of Time and thus may remain constant and absolutely free in the same instant. For just as sustaining any relationship is defined by moments of unbroken connection, Time. Maintaining the relationship/connection is also defined with the same hand or parameters of constancy in, Time. Thus, to have a relationship outside the parameters, boundaries and definitions of time we must have relationship outside of time itself. And God being the only Being outside those constructs or constraints the constancy of Prayer, Gratefulness and Spirit found only in the connection with God, IS the only exception.

So, what is the nature of ETERNITY that exceeds the controlling or excluding clenches of time upon all men? Well, you must be REBORN of something eternal, something heavenly, something outside the original limitations of the man/woman born by the waters of human birth. The only way to achieve a CONSTANT relationship, an embrace that may never be interrupted is through the introduction of a seed of that REBIRTH, the baptism of fire birth, the HOLY SPIRIT’s indwelling with the heart of man. Living with the Holy Spirit’s seed, seal, power and absolute unchanging connection with God Almighty, because He IS who He IS, IS the only path to unceasing embrace.

To be totally loved, provisioned, protected, purposed, promised and portended that eternal connection must be wanted, chosen, yearned for, maintained and honored by each person who seeks everlasting life and growth beyond/outside the constraints of mortal existence. Yes, arguably there will be charlatans of false hope extolling the avenues of PURE KNOWLEDGE as pathways to everlasting, but they never existed outside time and therefore do not have the keys or access to provide its unceasing elements to the buyer. ENLIGHTENMENT or the promised fruits of the tree of the knowledge of GOOD AND EVIL are shiny objects trapping one in a Mobius loop. There is no way from here to there for there is no connection from here to there but through the Spirit, Son and Father who created and sustains all Time, Space and Matter.

Without promise there is no belief, without belief there is no faith, without faith it is impossible to please God. This all stems from the Sovereignty and Reliability of God. For it is upon His act of creation and promises of active participation and prophetic future intercession that even made belief/trust possible. This entire lifestyle of reliance upon God was started by His action and will be ended by His Promised action. Upon that we Trust, everything else is suspect. Therefore, it is my trust in God that is the only Truth within me.

Why then do I read His Word. Is it the story? Is it the flowery language that gives me an electric shock up my legs and back? Is it to be a member of some fellowship or aspiration group? Is it to find out why so many strive to stand with Him when none of them can see Him? Is it to find a way out of my circumstances? Is it because nothing else seems real or discernably true? Is it to give myself strength to tackle the objects and obstacles before me? Is it to find my Creator and understand why He made me and what His promises mean measured against my will and desire? Or is it so that I may stand against Him in my vain imagination, pointing out how simple, uneducated and foolish all Christians have always been? Whose imagination do I hope to support in robust argument, mine or His?

This day, tomorrow we celebrate the day of which the hymn was written. When those of Jerusalem welcomed Him with cries and tears of Hosannah in the Highest. They laid palm fronds before the colt’s feet as they welcomed the realization of promised deliverance in the Messiah’s arrival to fulfill ALL prophecy. Yet, deception and argument offered by religious/military/political leaders led them to within the same week demand His death upon the cross, hung on a tree as cursed prisoners always were. Their reliance was clearly not upon God’s Promise but on man’s offering of protection, palace and prosperity.

Since when have we demanded a shift in the meanings of these feast days, the HOLYDAYS, that we have transliterated to holidays? What are we observing when seeding our children with a quest for the fertility of rabbits and the mystery for painted, golden eggs, gifts, money or the laps of men/women in costumes of the same? What are we pursuing in our own imagination or the stories we have been sold of those who worship air, tree and water? Do we truly understand the Promise that represented in observance and remembrance of the terrifying joy of Christ’s punishment for mankind’s sin? He took our place on that cross, taking willingly the death that we owed for our disobedience in sinful pursuit against God’s command. Why are we so intent on allowing the enemy’s prostitution of first intent, always ready to accept the revisions to the Promise. The small deviation from what God said which eventually leaves the ship astray, the compass untended, True North absent in our travels?

The joy of mistakes made is the time to focus upon their correction. I find myself in the unavoidable countdown to God’s intervention in America and this world. Knowing the only Truth is what He has given me combined with this sense impending urgency of His return I am self-counseled and spoken clearly to by God’s Spirit to do those things commensurate and consistent with a man who in faith, believes and in belief acknowledges the TRUTH that is God’s Sovereignty. These are the days of our participation and validation/declaration of that Truth. God holds accountability for my alignment or departure from His direction. My choices that are consistent with that accountability are the only power I personally possess to deny or confirm the blessings of this life and the next. I choose Truth. I choose God through Christ. I am Christian and I follow Him, am changed by Him and loved by Him to eventually resemble Him in the Family of those who first Trusted and Believed His Promises.

No longer a whisper

http://www.timesofisrael.com/iran-vows-to-attack-israel-from-west-bank/  Have you taken the time to study the books of Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Daniel?  All prophecy leads to faith in God, as He foretold everything which must certainly and shortly come to pass.  These circumstances mimic Biblical Prophecy regarding the national players in the Middle East, even those who will remain on the sidelines, (Us).  God remains on the throne and it is written that “all things serve the Lord God”, including the enemies of Israel.  Have faith and please pray for peace.

Am I praying for peace in Jerusalem, for God’s continued protection of Israel?  You know that He is going to protect them whether or not we intercede through prayer, right?  You get it right that Israel has always been at the foundation of God’s plan for humanity, because He made a “covenant” promise to them?  For those who would negate, ignore, minimize or fail to comprehend His devotion to them, I ask, what then is our salvation based upon but a “covenant” promise?

The enemy has mustered the soldier hearts set against the things of God.  Even now, Israel is physically, spiritual and logistically surrounded by those who would see their ruin.  New secret arms and support deals are being agreed to whittle away at Israel’s defenses, subjecting their people to increasing fears and their government to greater responsibility for aggressive action.  Who of us for a moment may look upon scripture, seeing the things to come and fail to equate our current circumstances with unfolding prophecy?  To look away now is deny the power of God’s Living Word, His prophetic warnings and that small quiet voice in the back of your head, telling you the “time” is near.  What will you be found doing when that “time” arrives?  I pray that we all be found, doing the work for harvest by spreading the Good News of the Gospel and interceding through prayer for Israel and the rest of humanity.

Won’t you join me in dedicating this day to service to Almighty God?  Is there a chance you can make a difference right now in the lives of those who may not have heard or understood the Good News of Christ?  Won’t you make a difference today and tell one person, whether family, friend, acquaintance or stranger, about His sacrifice for our salvation?  Come close to Him and He will come close to you.  Remind someone how much He loves them before the opportunity to do so expires.  Pray for peace in Jerusalem, for that will be the day after Christ steps foot on the Mount of Olives.  The Lord be praised this and every day of eternity to come.  In Jesus Name.

Having just crossed the point of no return we long for sight of shore, but still have not come to grips with meters truth.  What then shall we tell our children of a tomorrow that does not exist within the scope of probability?  We have denied, ignored and chuckled as each warning indicated future’s folly, our guiding light.  What poor choices remain in the realm of suggestion, hoping desperately for the arrival of some charismatic leader to save us from a certain destiny, perhaps?  What then does the Bible suggest will be given us, a proud generation, wicked, lacking reason, faith or miracle?  Certainly, we shall be given exactly that for which we have rallied, cheered and demanded, independence from God, in the moment when we can least withstand His absence.

That which is yet to come for the purpose of fortifying our faith God has foretold.  Would it puzzle you to see that I worry not for the future of humanity?  To me there is no unknown, I am not at the mercy of that nebulous, chaotic realm of what is yet to come, to me God has made all things clear.  You see we have been praying for so long, “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”, without remembering in faith that God answers prayer.  His will is what comes next, for we have through negligence, ignorance and disobedience forgotten to seek God’s wisdom and counsel and thus face a future full of earned consequence for self service.  Yes, rejoice for the harvest approaches and the gathering of souls will be immeasurable, but also mourn for those whose time is shortly come in realizing eternal separation from God.  Lord, I cannot imagine my mind ever being free of that painful thought of my friends and family alike having missed the opportunity to choose eternity.  Forgive us Father, lead us to the protection of Your Righteous Shadow.

Jesus repeated that this wicked generation would be given no sign but that which was shown Jonah.  In review what did Jonah know about the future?  Jonah knew that God was going to judge a particular segment of humanity, a group of people that Jonah loathed, an undeserving nation, that God would see saved from His wrath.  The only sign that Nineveh was given was the Word of God delivered by a reluctant prophet, bidding them repent immediately, fasting in humility and beg God for pardon or they would soon be judged.

How is our circumstance any different?  Would the prophet Jonah look upon America with love and intercessory prayer or would he consider us a wicked, disobedient nation, guilty and deserved of God’s wrath?  If we are honest in our analysis and evaluation we can come to no other conclusion than we are the people of Nineveh who have only one choice left, repent and seeks God’s face in humility and prayer or face certain, imminent, inevitable judgment forthwith.  Toward the purpose of providing content amenable to those who do not count America’s behavior equivalent to Nineveh.  I then must ask you to place yourself in Jonah’s sandals for one moment.  Which country/nation do you abhor, for their wickedness, their unconscionable actions or their departure from Divine guidance?  Which country do you dislike so much in your own judgment that you would disobey God’s direction to warn them of certain judgment?  Then accept God’s command to go now and warn them for this is our charge as Christians.

For those who have ears to hear let them hear what the spirit says to the churches.  For them who will hear, repent and pray there is forgiveness, salvation and everlasting life with God found only in the Name of Jesus Christ the King.  We will be given no sign other than the Word that God gave to Jonah.  I pray that we head those words right now for the future is certainly upon us.

Having set a course that leads to abandon, we can now only hang on to face the rogue waves of our certain future or immediately, authentically and humbly appeal to the mercies of God’s Grace.  The choice remains, set adrift for eternity or attached to God, the Rock of Ages who does not waver, fail, fade or change.  We ought not seek the face of a worldly charismatic leader to bring us out of our self-imposed spiral, for this world will be given just such a leader who is the spirit of antichrist.  That foul, indwelt man will be given dominion over the Earth to usher in God’s judgment to produce nothing but the war, pestilence, famine and death reserved for the wicked.  Oh but glory be to God on high, that in His everlasting mercy this Earth shall be delivered from this unholy spirit and returned to the Righteous Hand of a Holy, Almighty and Powerful God who will rule in justice, strength and Righteousness forever and forever, Amen.  Come soon Lord Jesus, but if You may please tarry a bit, so that we might tell those who will hear of Your Glory, that they too might be saved.

Myths and experience

My prayers are made manifest by footfalls of my walk with Jesus.  This is crunch-time, the fourth quarter the denouement, the period where mystic, meets magic meets miracles of God.  The prevalence and increased occurrence of coincidence in my life is validating my theory regarding the preciousness of our remaining moments in service to Christ Jesus.  Each day, I am led into relationship with the exact people who by thought, meditation and prayer have been seeking the assets to evoke their perceived purpose for the Kingdom and their legacy.  Kindred spirits are being gathered for the purpose of Harvest and if this is ignored, simply regarded as coincidence, then perhaps the value of Divine introductions will be lost in opportunity.  Look around you, the birds have comfortably nested within the mustard tree, relegating most believers to powerless personal ministry.  For those believers who have been aware, obedient and watchful, the opposite is obvious.  Individual ministries are beginning to take shape.  The fire of one ember, put to bellows and kindled by the fuel of Brothers is beginning to produce an inferno that will soon be beyond dismissal.  Even this day there are millions who have never bent a knee to Baal.  On that comfort and the hope in God’s inerrant Word I will build my house to warn all of the coming storm in the Earth’s tribulation, The GREAT DAY of OUR LORD and the time of Jacob’s trouble.

God Bless Israel, for her moment of testing approaches.  God does not mince Words when speaking of His beloved.  They are held to a standard that few of us, if any may understand.  They will not be left in their moment of trial, but surrounded by the might, power and love of Almighty God.  They must suffer for their wandering, but in the end they will be with God, as He promised.  To those nations who threaten the Nation of Israel, I pray you heed God’s Warning.  Bring no harm to her for you have poked your finger into the Eye of God.  Regardless of your thinking, your correctness in pointing out her failures, for even though you speak some truth, God has proclaimed that those who bless her shall be blessed and those who curse her shall be cursed.  It is not Israel that we should fear but God, for He has spoken of His undying faithfulness to His beloved nation, even in their adultery, God shall not abandon her even for a moment.  Be advised, be educated, be warned.  The nation of Israel shall only be judged by God, not by man’s quarrels.

I serve the Lord our God, I do not serve the adulteress actions of nations and men.  The time of action is upon us and that action requires a Love for Humanity that surpasses our own capacity for forgiveness, hope and understanding.  We must be fully dependent upon the Holy Spirit of God if we are ever to achieve that love for which we have been created, redeemed and filled by the indwelling of God’s Spirit.  If you want purpose then it is known to all  Christian’s, for Christ has defined and commanded each of as to His purpose.  Go and make disciples of men, teaching them the Gospel so that all may come to the knowledge of God through Christ.  That is a paraphrase of God’s Word on this issue, Lord please forgive me if I have indicated anything that is not consistent with Your intention.  Let us be set aflame by the indwelling of Your Baptismal Spirit.  Let us demonstrate the power of God through Christ to this world that is flooded in impotence.  Bring us a healing hand, kind hearts and the courage to stand in the face of overwhelming odds, amassed enemy forces and storms.  The time of trial approaches, let each of us look internally and make our hearts right with God for that moment when it will become paramount is assured.

Praise You Almighty Father, the one God of Heaven and Earth.  Jesus forgive and deliver us from the evil that seemingly prevails, but which must be dispelled at Your return.  Let Your return begin today in the hearts, words and walks of every Christian, let the enemy be scattered at the proclamation of our righteous and hopeful faith in YOU.

He is true

My courage comes from a steadfast belief in God’s faithfulness.  What does that mean, you ask?   I am frightened, especially in this era of nuclear, meets biological/chemical, meets fanatic environment where it remains only a matter of time before they accidentally succeed at something horrific.  The economy is frankly enough in itself to scare the pants off of all those who hoped to someday slow down or retire.  Our nation continues full speed toward moral relativism and liberal lax-ism, without any regard for majorities, voting or historical/Biblical reasoning.  Now you throw in a smorgasbord of Biblical signs/observances, basically you have a mad scientists recipe for hysteria.  I am scared for our children, hell I am scared by our children in their entitled, foundation-less, naive stance that everything should be free coupled with an ideology that everyone should just plain get along.  Everyone will remind you that some form of golden age enlightenment will somehow free of us what the agreed upon prognosis appears is leading us straight toward self implosion.  All of this matters, it is just that no matter what can and will go horribly wrong, I have more belief and faith in God’s promise that He has this all in control.  If not for my understanding and resolve in the character of God, by all rights, I should be totally berserk with fear, but I am not you explain that to me without getting into a discussion on the existence of the Almighty Sovereign, One God of this and every universe.

God created, then Jesus overcame this world, following our inability to recover from being duped by our own flesh and satan.  God’s enemy would have us lay down and be paralyzed or completely motivated by fear.  That is my largest cause for pity, mercy and understanding for those who do not yet know Christ, in that, they are susceptible to that fear control.  That is why the Lord told us that He did not give us the spirit of fear, so that we might remember when it comes upon us to seek His face and turn away from the controlling influences incumbent to fright.  Don’t get me wrong, I use fear as a guide to tell me when to be cautious, as it is an emotional signal that something is odd or dangerous, but I do not believe that fear should be the guiding influence for any of my actions.  There is one exception and that is the reverent fear that accompanies a limited understanding of God’s nature, for wisdom may not exist without a rational fear of and respect for Almighty God.  But I serve the Lord I do not serve my fear, my sin or any other deceptive influence, outside my control.  God will always show up, so there is nothing that I need be afraid of because He is my shield, my shelter, my salvation.

As we enter an apparent new segment of the last days, fear seems common to all men.  I am so sorry for them as this fear is evidence of the absence of relationship with God.  Father let me see there fear as an opportunity to point them to the comfort only available after a meeting at that Old Rugged Cross.  Forgive me for nurturing, sponsoring or inflaming anyone’s fears, let me be an encourager not a bellows for the enemy’s paralysis of men.  I fear Your wrath alone.  Let me use this fear to sponsor a burning fire within my heart.  A fire, born of the desire to seek out and pull back men from the edge of abandon.  Thank You Jesus for the opportunity to live free of fear and judgment.

Failure and success

Is it okay to have failed in this world, recovered no gold, directed no wars, founded no schools having led no one to societal breakthrough?  What if each of my victories were meant to serve a King who most only recognized in moments of personal anguish?  How could I reconcile the difference between what the prom queen thought of my successes against how I knew I would be greeted in heaven?  What if no body knows the people I’ve coaxed back from the edge of disaster, having led them to the master so that they were eventually freed of life’s cruelest tricks of incarceration?  What if no one ever knew any good that I’ve done?  Even if I were the man who charged into every burning building to save those trapped by the flames, or the man who gave every dime to terminal children, having only enough time to protect the elderly or prevent mistreatment of innocent kids.  They would esteem me not, for according to the world my life would be viewed with no victory.  You see this is Christianity done right, done for His glory with no thought of self or story.  The price is failure by the world’s requirements.  Accepting what God gives, being content with His Will, exalting His Name and forgetting my own because He is the one on the throne.  This is a wonderful choice, that is why the blessings of overcoming are so grand.

I do not know how I may help you in your travails, quest or sufferings as you pass through this world, but I feel that I must.  I do not want anything of you but that moment of peaceful sigh or unfettered smile I receive when you’ve found rest in His shadow.  To them I have failed and I wish that I could say that there is no associative pain with their opinion.  That makes the choice worth making because there is a price, separation, loss of relationship, recognition and yes, pride.  For humility is the password to dominion.  They are missed, I wish that they could see the wisdom and fulfillment that the Lord offers each of us.  I am here to help, with no fee, thankful to be of any assistance in encouragement, planning, thought, recovery or hope.  That is my reward, knowing that I have faithfully served God and lovingly served you.

The world’s moving faster so many just want to stop and get off the ride, but there is no side line, no break and place of respite, but God.  I would love to explain the Gospel to you and have you choose the Lord, but, for me, it has never happened that way.  My chore has been the fighters, arguers, academics, haters and hopeless who pursue me in their arguments as if convincing me will somehow free them of their innate knowledge of God’s righteous judgment.  Many do find their way to the cross, and they sometimes thank me years later, but most just forget what I’ve told them and go on to live worldly pursuits.  Did I fail God by trying to reach them in love?  On the contrary, these are my greatest successes.  Perhaps, I will meet some of them on the other side of eternity, having made a decision for Christ, knowing at that moment that I had prevailed.  I will rejoice for Him, for them and delight in the approval of my King for a job well done.  My success is assured through His victory on the Cross.  How about yours?

The Night Will Come

Do you wish for me to whisper polite words of encouragement at all times, even those when fire is lapping at the hem of your garment or enemy forces are scouring the courtyard, searching for whom they might devour?  There will be times when my love for you requires, demands that I grab you by the scruff of your night shirt and bid you run to the woods for concealment.  Am I to restrict the appropriate demeanor or necessary force to awaken you from slumber to save your skin, just to respect some foolhardy, overly correct worldly brand of tolerance?  Look, the time of danger has either arrived or is marching, momentously toward us at breakneck speed.  There is no single thread of my spirit that would allow me to lie in complacence and watch you be overrun without warning.  I love you and just as in the military, compatriots, soldiers, brothers watch each others back.  Simply said, the time of preparation has not only come it is rapidly ebbing toward showtime.  If you must be angry with me for telling you the truth and shaking you from certain destruction, then I must accept your angst, with the knowledge that some day you will thank me in reflection.  So for now I say, either Run as you’ve never run before or stand in good courage knowing that the Lord your God shall prevail in the coming battle.

This is not a popular thing that I take upon myself as my duty prescribed by scripture.  I do not wish my name slandered, my family disturbed/threatened or the loss of friendship.  But when one smells fire it arouses internal mechanisms, when he sees the fire it calls for action, but when the crippling heat is felt upon ones skin there is no more time for standing in thought or indecision.  The time for action has arrived.

Act according to your belief.  What is that belief you say?  Well I must ask from whom do you gather wisdom.  Is it perhaps from a brief cable preacher bidding you send more money to buy you favor, providing twenty minutes of encouraging prattle that resembles Christianity.  Is it from a romance or fictional novel, maybe nightly news or worse yet council of the ungodly that bids you be scared but to do nothing with that fear?  Or have you sat in prayer, meditation and study with other believers, seeking the indwelling of God to fill you with Spirit and provide wisdom to calm the gathering storm?  Do you know what you believe and what you are meant to do with that belief?  If so, then do not expect me to stand idly, politely offering a cold drink on a hot summers day as the fire approaches our dwelling.  For I shall be the one who yanks you to attention and bids you man your position on the wall waiting for the dawn to arrive.  I am your friend and my love is real.  Do not ask me to be someone that you heard about in a movie.  I am real and I serve God and you, even when you wish it were not so.

Praise God, be patient, but be ready for whatever comes over that hill.  If I am wrong I will stand your derision, but if I am right then perhaps you will know how much I loved you when your lamp fires and we are ready for the Master’s Night Arrival.  Lord Jesus help us to be clear as the darkness approaches.
