Nothing left to do

Stop trying, start freely and openly surrendering the misaligned areas of your life to God.  Christianity is not about trying harder, or being good enough or even about building your patience through perseverance.  These things we want changed require an expert physician, a healer who may transform past occurrences into future successes.  They require the only one capable of forgiving our sin and removing its stain to allow a rebirth.  I am not patient, but the Lord is teaching me patience.  I have some frustration issues but I know that the Lord is covering me with His Love and removing my desire to control every outcome.  I am often incapable of forgiving my enemies and those who have hurt me yet strangely as the Lord works in my spirit at some point my grudges, upset and unforgiveness disappear.  That is the Spirit of Almighty God at work in each believer, transforming, softening up fallow ground making us more like Him.

What then am I to do as a “good” Christian if not deeds?  This is the most difficult part for human beings to grasp.  We are so captured by the world’s idea of success being tied to performance that we bring this concept into the churches even requiring others to rise to our own poor understanding.  Eternity is not about the things that I do.  It is about the things that “HE HAS ALREADY DONE”.  Certainly we are being sanctified to spend eternity with a Holy God but that is a process accomplished through belief, surrender and works of the Spirit of God, not by us.  Yes, I must stand in good courage fully rooted in the knowledge of the presence of God in my life, but I am not meant to win any battle because the battles we fight are with powers and principalities over which we personally have no impact.  Hallelujah they have been defeated by Jesus and are subject to His authority that dwells in each of us.  So, if we remind them whom we serve, pulling the two-edged sword of His Word they must flee, but that has nothing to do with my works only my understanding, faith and walk.

Yes, the Lord has given me directives, tasking and objectives but they are His objectives, His outcomes, His Plans, not my own.  Therefore I am absent responsibility for the outcome only the attendance and surrender.  He will complete that which He first started in each of us.  He is steadfast, righteous and faithful.  He loves you I hope that you know that.  No, I hope that you get it way down deep inside where it really matters.  For words like hope, faith and love don’t require evidence or knowledge akin to man’s intelligence or legal support.  Let me demonstrate.  Do you love your Father and your Mother?  You say, of course.  Prove it.

Yes, I know God loves me.  Yes, I do what He wants me to do because I love and respect Him.  I am not looking for a crown, but He will give me one, or perhaps more.  I am not looking for a house, though He will give me a mansion.  I am not looking for this life to last forever, though He HAS GIVEN ME ETERNITY.  I am not perfect, but He is shaping to me in His perfect image.  I try because I want to not because it earns me anything.  I want to please my Father, that is natural for a loving son.  My job is to love Him and love you.  Loving you enough to tell you how to be set free from sin and death.  Loving you enough to introduce you to our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Loving you enough to give you what I have been given, freeing you from what you have mistakenly thought that you need to do.  I cannot earn a place in heaven, I have been given one.  Praise the name of God, through Christ Jesus I pray.

The wellspring of Hope

Where are you finding hope for the future of your family?  Are you encouraged by the performance of our leaders, sacrificing, wisely choosing those determined avenues leading to prosperity, honor and security?  Is there safety in your things, your treasures, maybe hope is found in your double digit annual returns?  Do you look into the eyes of your children and find assurance for America or the world?  Does their resilience and confident grasp of the solutions to life’s dilemma provide you bastion from the apparent chaotic, global environment?  Is your safety found in your own ability to overcome, maybe your ebullient capacity to deal with the great issues confronting humanity; poverty, pestilence, cancer and war?  If you are finding the basis for your hope in all these things why then do you have any need for God?

Have you read the Book of Revelation?  And if not, how do you know how God’s Plan turns out?  Did you know that reading of this book promises the reader blessings?  One of those blessings is hope.  Hope in the most talked about event in the Bible, Old Testament and New, the Second Coming of Christ our Lord.  Do you understand that we will live together with God in the City of “New Jerusalem” that He brings to Earth upon its remaking?  Did you know that Jesus will rule with an Iron Rod, never again allowing the wickedness of humanity to decay our lives?  Do you take hope in the fact that we will never experience war again, no disease and no fear as the lion lives peacefully with the lamb?  Do you know that we will be given glorified bodies that never grow old, get sick or die?  Why when our hope is supposed to be in Jesus would Pastors refuse or avoid teaching the Book of Revelation?  Perhaps they wish for you to place your hope in them.  Isn’t this vanity, foolishness and a recipe for failure when we have already established that hope may not be found in the people, idols or things of this world?

Humanity, has no hope in science as we continue to find better ways to kill each other or release powers over which we have no governing capacity.  Humanity has no hope in leaders who continue to demonstrate their selfish motivations to leave a historical legacy proclaiming their own greatness.  Humanity has no hope in gold as the richest among us still dies at the end of a short lived life.  We were meant to give our children hope, not the other way around, we cannot find safety in living vicariously through children who share not our views, philosophies or policies.  There is no hope but Jesus.  We cannot continue to deny the realities of this life, placing false hope in the men and women who have gotten into the our present circumstances to suddenly find it in their hearts to reverse course.  In fact, that course would lead us back to the only solution, a humble return to our roots firmly planted in the righteousness of God.  We have finally grown a generation of children who do not know God.  Doesn’t that sound strangely familiar?  Oh, yes, that is what God said would happen when we depart from Him.  Unfortunately He also told us of the results of that abandonment and we are seeing those impacts clearly running rampant throughout our once blessed nation.

If you want hope cry out to God in Jesus’ Name.  Humble yourselves, Christians, and pray to God, repenting of your sins against God and He will hear our voices in Heaven and turn His face back to this country healing this land.  Hope and peace are things of God, found through faith in the things we cannot prove and have not yet seen.  For hope by its nature requires an unsubstantiated belief that things will improve.  How do you account to an unbeliever the reason for your hope that things will get better?  Interesting question to ask yourself.  Especially, as in our world there is no current supporting evidence that things are or will improve.  If you have placed your hope in things other than God you will eventually have to abandon that hope to this lack of empirical evidence.

Find hope in Jesus.  He will make a way where there is no path.  He will lead us through the dark times and the troubles.  My hope does not depend on me or circumstance but upon the faithfulness of God where I will never be let down.  In Jesus’ Name.

Let there be peace on Earth

What do we really want?  Isn’t it peace.  Why then is peace so elusive?  Could it be that so many disbelieve in its probable achievement that they have given in to the fulfillment of secondary and tertiary desires?  Or is peace possible in the human condition, having been continually inhibited by the existence of baser human urges to conquer, pillage, suppress and enslave those who we may dominate in our tyranny?  If the obstacle to peace is our own internal drive then how might we achieve that which is contrary to our own nature?  Maybe we should drop the sham until we admit to ourselves that we are incapable of accepting peace due to the self-sacrifice it requires of all men collectively?  Is that why we deny Jesus, because in our prideful throws and desire to overcome our own circumstance we are blind to our inefficacy?

Oh, following this vein the true academicians and experimentalists naturally arrived at the conclusion that a peaceful humanity must be ushered in through constructive mental reorganization.  Thus is born each historic tyrant, seeking to do the world a service by eradicating all those who will not follow the earthly divine mantra of collectivism.  Any one perceived as different becomes a threat, defined, targeted, stripped of humanity and disposed of for the sake of “peace”.  What a soured peace they serve when what honors all life becomes the foundation for killing those we dislike or misunderstand.

We have looked everywhere for this elusive peace, except to the God of our Fathers the origin of peace.  We have denied the blessings of good honest living before God, claiming that there has to be another way, a way in which man himself may free himself from his own poisonous character.  But this is not the way of things where cancer cures itself, for to do so means self-sacrifice.  This healing, this realignment of mans make-up, this elusive and unachievable peace is only possible through Divine Intervention.  Do you hear what I am saying that we are the infected host, to be healed of our illness will require the astute Hand of God’s applied healing?  As long as we remain under the delusion of man’s confounded wisdom we shall not reach that which we most desire.  Peace is only possible by embracing the Prince of Peace, The King of Kings, Jesus Christ the Lord, our Saviour.  Man will continue to say that he is for peace of this or that noble idea, but inevitably will continue to subjugate all that surrounds.

Do not fall for deep, noble or well designed arguments if they do not begin at the foundation of God’s Will for humanity.  If an idea appears to have come from any other origin you will be certain that it is just a convoluted, twisted, misaligned, misshapen, warped concept that is a variant of God’s original and perfect purpose for humanity.  Yes, we are struggling now, but we do not have to.  Yes, there is war now but that will not always be the case, for God has a plan.  Peace will come when we meet our eternal ruler, A Holy God who will maintain the peace forever.  We were not meant to be ruled by each other only by God.  As long as we continue to look to leaders for their unselfish guidance and love for the people they serve, we will be misled.  For man is incapable of embracing or creating peace.  This is a thing of God.  It is a thing we find in our own hearts as Jesus shows us that which surpasses worldly understanding.  You know that my words are truth.

Obey God and rejoice in what He gives you.  Peace will come at the end of this age, by the hand of Almighty God, levied by the only one worthy to proclaim judgment and instill peace, Jesus.  Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.  Volunteer to it now or do it later involuntarily, but His Will Shall Be Done on Earth even as it is in Heaven.  Amen.

Intention

I was designed for worship.  Made to show you a glimpse of our King.  Anchoring you to the foundation upon which the tide of life flows.  May my heart be felt through song, my spirit in words, my life through just pursuit.  I live to collect your tears of joy as you feel His warm embrace and see His adoring smile.  There are works I must perform in life to care for those I love, but they are neither my reason nor my gift.  That is love, love for Him in prayer, voicing my thanks for each day, trial and rest.  We were meant for each other you and I.  For alone has no value, it is the one thing God said was not good.  So, if I may provide a glimmer of hope, light or faith.  Then let that be how I am remembered.  My voice above the noise, praising His name and warming your heart.

I love King Jesus with all that I am.

Doing what cannot but must be done

The key component to understanding is having enough love to listen, sometimes without response.  There are so many people with good intentions, themselves having never been truly loved, such that when they are confronted with the opportunities of ministry they resort to instructing instead of loving.  It is not the intentions which need correction, for most really want to do the right thing.  Instead it is their definition of love that is remiss.  If we are to understand God through relationship then frequently the most important piece of wisdom He may convey to each of us is a clear concept of love.  Equipped with this Godly understanding and the Power of Love we may then heal the sick and wounded through Christ’s Love offering to love them the way that each of us wants to be loved.

Love, is probably one of the deepest, most complex ideas known to man.  Many will resolve to describing its facets in their original Greek or Latin explanations to segregate its diverse aspects.  However, we need not practice the secular science of breaking things down to their smallest common denominator in order to understand the big picture of Love.

God’s Love is this, that He remains devoted to those whom He Loves, regardless of their worthiness because of His overwhelming adoration for His creation.  He never leaves them, never ignores them and always provides safety, security and provision to those whom He Loves, even when they don’t love Him in return.  He remains ready for reconciliation and intimate relationship, hoping that each of us will reach out to Him, but lovingly giving each of us the time and space to make the voluntary pursuit.  He Loves us enough to save us from our own foolishness and self-destructive passions by providing a “way through” this life in restorative process of cleansing by accepting the punishment for “every” sin upon Himself, then paying the price of each sin by dying for us.  God loves me without recognition of or limitation based upon my performance or inadequacies.  We enjoy bandying the term, unconditional, however we have never truly offered this type of love while we complain that no one cares for us in that fashion.  Having met God and received His Love we are made aware of its benefits.  How then would we fail to learn and practice this type of love toward our fellow humans?

He did not say like your Brother the way that you wish to be liked.  He did not say be infatuated with your Sister the way that you would want to be infatuated.  He offered these two commandments in a particular order, I believe for a particular reason.  For once we love God with all our heart, mind, soul and spirit, then we understand how much He loved us at our “worst” moments and are willing/capable of loving ourselves without qualification or judgment.  Once we offer ourselves this condition free love then we are ready to offer it to others.  I cannot love someone in the way I wish to be loved without first having fully comprehended the definition and fulfillment associated with being loved in the way that I want to be loved.  I cannot speak a language that I don’t understand without the Holy Spirit’s intervention.  Without Him I have no hope, with Him I am never hopeless.

It is extremely difficult if not impossible to love thieves, killers, brigands, charlatans and adulterers, but we do.  It is near impossible to love our enemies, even as they sin against us, yet we must.  It is highly unlikely that we will ever love someone unconditionally when we continue to condemn ourselves for our own private failures and shortcomings, but we shall.  For just as we are transformed into new creation, reborn to God, we shall be given the Power to Love inherent to the Holy Spirit.  For He is God and thus loves each of us unconditionally, just as we are called to love others.  Next time you have the opportunity to minister, try loving the person in the way that you would want to be loved.  Love overcame everything in this world, His name is Jesus Christ.  He calls you to be His ambassadors to this world, so we must love them as He does, without requirement.  I pray that they choose salvation through Christ and that I will love them regardless of their decision, wealth, illness, foolishness or circumstance.  For that is how He has always loved me.

Sufficient

Do you really want patience?  Do you really want to see what God has in store for you around the mountain bend?  Can you stand still as the heat intensifies, encircling you, closing off escape, threatening your toes beginning to disturb your lungs?  What does trust mean to you, certainly it doesn’t mean that you will believe even when the ship capsizes below the waves, leaving you alone, cold, tired, swimming in your best recollection of the direction you left shore?  What happens when the jars are empty, the wells dry?  Will you stand after doing everything that you could have done, grasping tightly to the knowledge of the powerful God that you serve?

What is he asking of you?  Does it require that your bank accounts hover near zero, holding on, jobless, penniless, no back up, savings or perceived security left to cling upon?  Must you lose your health, when it has always been your sanctuary, the long runs, effective in clearing your mind of the worries of each day?  What about the friends, who’ve avoided you since the fall, the family who have forgotten your number, moved away leaving no forwarding contact?  Has the church risen to take their place, brothers and sisters in Christ, moving in to fill the vacuum left in your abandonment?  How about your spouse, has he or she stepped up to provide, encourage, support and defend you as you struggle to make it to the dawn of God’s Will?  Have you the courage to live or die upon God’s intervention or abstinence, knowing fully that He will move at exactly the appropriate time for His Perfect Will?  Do you trust Him, even unto death?  Gosh, my friend, I never thought that this thing, this Christianity, this faith was that serious.  I never believed that I would be confronted with such deep, probing question.  I never thought that the tests would be this hard or that they would really provide the circumstantial impetus to reveal my character, my love, my honest, unadulterated trust and love for God.  What have I gotten myself into?

Wouldn’t it be easier to have faith in God right now, without the testing, while you have assets and security and no question of tomorrow’s sunrise?  Or must we be tested as humans, never accepting, believing and holding onto faith until progressively, intensely challenged?  I wish that I had believed, but I am glad for the opportunity to show my mettle.  For each of us may speak oddly of Peter, never having had the opportunity to deny Christ.  Who will stand with Him, even when He is seated in heaven?  Will we declare or deny and isn’t that the reason for all this glorious opportunity.  We have the chance to live as Prince and Priest for God through Christ.  Who among us will accept that chance?  For the time is now and you my friend have been chosen of God for the purpose of your making.  It is not a question of who will be tested or who will go through sufficient struggle for each of us has the same choice and task.  The question is will you.  In Jesus’ Name.

Not Yet

Walking with my Lord God through life’s troubles, provided me sufficient, empirical evidence to convince my skeptical mind that His promises are true.  Although, I have had struggles there has always been a foundation of governance to my travails that kept me from destruction.  Where the fires were too hot for me to survive, there was always a chilling breeze to cool me down or conveniently available, protective-clothing to prevent my immolation.  My losses, however severe were always followed by specific learning and reasoned recovery, designed to produce a particular life outcome.  When I sin, I suffer the consequence of that sin but each time, experience the forgiveness synonymous with repentance, petition and grace.  When I seek Him in authenticity, I find glorious relationship.  Though everything in life let me down, even myself, God has never once failed to deliver.  Isn’t that the proof of life or sufficient “show me” qualification to which each have subjected Him?

Why then do I continuously seek that which is by nature incapable of fulfilling my spiritual complexity?  This world has an available sufficiency of goods, experiences and relationships to succor a portion of my intellectual ego.  It does not however, offer any resolution to the programming implicit to my encoded DNA or the reason for my life.  All men wish to know what happens after this short existence.  There are only two outcomes from that investigation.  The first is acceptance or self convincing argument, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, that this life is all that there is, that there is nothing coming for us after but finality and mineral, energetic recycling.  The second is that there is some form of personal/individual existence beyond the boundaries of death on this material plane, that there is some part of our current makeup which transcends transition.

If you subscribe to the former then you must consume all that may be consumed in this life in order to achieve success.  Living a servant life is irrelevant as there are no eternal or super-life implications of self centeredness.  When I am the god of my own universe, I need serve no other, in fact that effort would be futile and purposeless.  My sole purpose in this life would be to feed, sleep, experience and enjoy the momentary drug of my own self glorification.  Thus, having an supernaturally encoded or unique purpose would by nature be useless.  So, the fact that any/all of us feel that there is a meaning to each of our lives negates this avenue as a choice providing any sufficient fulfillment.

Choosing the second road, summarily accepting that there is an existence beyond the death associated with this life complicates the philosophical implications.  For having decided that this life is not all there is and that there is a unique purpose for the uniqueness of every human being, places a burden of resolution upon each of our lives.  This choice also introduces us to the difficulty and human unresolved problem of what to do with the implications of our sin.  For if this life is not all that there is and since we have an individual purpose then there is an inherent accounting for the fulfillment or denial of that purpose.  It really makes this life more precious, because we only have a certain amount, an unknown amount, of time in which to complete that direction.  Even those who kick the can of sin through resurrection/recycling into the next life admit that what we do or don’t do in this life determines the possibility of the next.  It also begs the question, an implied, unique purpose implies a designer, for who gave us that unique purpose?

To them who would preach pluralism, inclusion, tolerance, coexistence or a conglomerated worldly, jointly acceptable religion; Christianity will remain inconsistent with any attempt at global inclusivity.  For we believe that there is one God, who is only available or reachable by belief in and reliance upon the “ONLY” available avenue of approach, Jesus Christ the saviour of mankind.  There is no mantra, no prayer, no good deed, no membership card, no humility, no nationality, no royalty, no clean living or enlightened path that can reach God for there remains between us an untenable chasm to which belief in Christ is the only available bridge.  We believe that each person has a purpose, given them by their Creator, the Lord God, and that purpose an impetus driving each of us to reach out to Him for fulfillment.  Christianity is inconsistent by definition with all worldly religions for there is only one door and if you try to get around it, over it, under it, beyond it or ignore it you come to the same conclusion every time, eternal separation from God and those who have accepted, obeyed and believed in the Truth of His invitation to reconciliation.  Praise be to God that He gave us each a purpose, Praise Him that He placed inside each of us a yearning to know Him and Praise Him that He provided a method by which we might establish eternal relationship, in this life and the next.

I pray that you accept your wonderful Creation.  I pray that you seek, find and fulfill your God given purpose and that in so doing you meet the Lord Jesus Christ.  I pray that I see you in eternity and that I may listen to how God walked with you in every step of this life.  I want for you peace, completion and inclusion found with God in Christ.  Join the family of purpose, ask questions about Jesus, seek Him and find for yourself meaning in this life, knowing where you are headed in the next.  God will never let you down, never leave you, never ignore you, avoid or turn His back on you.  That doesn’t mean He won’t challenge, grow, teach and discipline you for what comes next, because after all He is the most Loving Father and what Father leaves His children alone to fend, learn and succeed by themselves.  Trust God and enjoy what He gives you.  I believe that this concept given us by Solomon is the basis of peaceful life, a peace only reachable/understandable through knowing Christ Jesus.  So get to know Him and get to know peace.

Done

If I could, He wouldn’t have.  “Find the secret passage”, said Jeremy, as they searched the office bookcase, looking for the way out of their dilemma.  Do you find yourself, sweating, stressing, trying with every ounce of your courage, intelligence and talent to get to a peaceful point?  Are you praying harder, memorizing, correcting faulty behavior and giving a bit more each week, hoping to rid yourself of your Christian shortcomings?  Is your windfall being withheld because of something you’ve done or aren’t doing?  Remember, “the wages of sin is death”.  So, the fact that every human being was/is a sinner immediately separated all of us from God with an insurmountable chasm.  Could not climb it, could never cross it, couldn’t repair it, fill it, ignore it or invent another paradise, we were left in utter despair realizing our inability to ever know God.  The Jews tried rule conformity, even finding themselves adding exponential refinements to God’s Law in hope of someday being good enough.  What then are we misunderstanding about God’s gift, God’s Love and Christ’s sacrificial victory that precludes us from accepting that we cannot “do” anything to reach heaven.  None of us is good enough to overcome the stain of sin, none is powerful enough or perfect enough to remove the judgment incumbent with sin’s price of death.  It took an incredible, angel astounding act of mercy on the part of God Himself in order to offer an opportunity for cleansing and repair to God’s intimate relationship.

Having given in I will never give up, because salvation and sanctification are acts entirely dependent upon God’s power, performance and will in their achievement.  Yes, achievement, but not reward based upon my piety, my effort, kindness, care or goodness, accomplishment completely founded by and rooted in God’s decision to save me.  I am trying with every ounce of my being to be a better person and not one measure of my energy has ever made me even a smidgen more like Christ.  Conversely, my surrender to Christ in repentance, faith and belief has transformed me to the point of nonrecognition by my family, colleagues and long term friends.  I cannot do what was never within my power to be done.  Have you accepted your impotence with regard to locating, approaching or entering heaven’s gate?  Don’t fail to see your own failure.

Surrender is for winners.  Accepting my status as a sinner with “no hope” of salvation without Christ, prompted the only logical decision available to rational men, choosing Christ and eternal life over remaining in my sin and death.  Of course, many will tell you if you study real hard, meditate every day until late, eat the right foods, go to the right schools or do the right deeds you will “eventually” be sent your invitation to join the after life.  If that were even remotely believable, then they would be able to show me, absolute proof of my predecessors having made that mark.  Oh, right, they want me to prove God and heaven exist but they cannot show me one fact of substantiated proof of one person ever being good enough to reacquaint themselves to God.  Why do you think God chose murderers, adulterers and peasants as heroes of the faith?  Pretty clear isn’t it that none could claim that they were good enough, smart enough or rich enough to deserve the blessings that they received.  Goodness, all the apostles were summarily dispatched as punishment for their works of goodness, leaving only John to live out his life in order to eventually pen the Book of Revelation.  How then can any hope to reach heaven by works if those who God chose as His Earthly Family failed absolutely?  They had hope, but not in their own effort or energies, but in the devotion of Christ to carry them to eternity.  It is not deed but rather belief that sets the captive free in Christendom.

I love my Brothers but they try way too hard.  They tell me their sins and then lay out their plan of action to rid themselves of character flaws.  I would laugh but it is usually the tears that take precedence for their character flaws require much less priority than their demonstrated misunderstanding of faith.  I want to be a better man, a better son, Father, friend, worker, disciple, thinker, giver, believer and servant to God.  God will achieve these things in me because He wants the same, in fact He wants even better than I can think or perceive.  So, I cannot do the work and in so knowing I am set free from the hopeless energetic expenditure in pursuing the Holy Grail.  I have drunken from the well of the living water and been refreshed to everlasting.  Being sober minded I am drunk with joy, the joy that comes with relationship through Christ to God.  I will try my best to be a good example to those around me as an ambassador for Christ, but as to getting in to heaven that battle is done, having been fought and won by Christ on Calvary’s Cross.

Praise God for His Righteousness and Faith.  My soul’s been saved, Hallelujah.  In Jesus’ Name.

The do’s and the don’ts

The Lord is no respecter of persons.  He loves each of us equally, paying no homage to skin, nation, wealth or geographic preferences.  That does not mean He has no requirements of humanity.  He made the world, He made the rules, we get to choose, so do so wisely my friends.  The world and the pressures therein are rapidly dividing its population into two distinct groups; those who believe in Jesus Christ’s life, death, resurrection and ascension and those who do not.  That is the line of separation by which humanity shall be judged for that is the rule which God laid down for all men.

Certainly there are those who have yet to make a decision regarding Christ.  For them the heat shall be increased, the pressures intensified, the places of safety removed, such that they will be forced to choose voluntarily or choose out of refusal.  Even the Jewish Nation, God’s beloved will be subjected to such great tyranny and tragedy that they will be forced to come to the only possible realization over which they continue to stumble, the Cornerstone of Christ.  I fear that hard times are coming to all of us, yet I do not fear from whence they come, for it is the Lord’s doing.  The Lord knew before the beginning of time that many would not choose unless given the impetus necessary to drive that decision.  We as a world will be provided the appropriate chaotic climate from which to make a decision for or against Christ.  He loves all people and wants that we will all come to the knowledge and acceptance of His gift of saving Grace.  He will lead us to the Water of Life, where we must choose to drink or to refuse.

I pray for us as a species.  We resemble God yet cannot see ourselves even when looking in the clearest, available mirror.  We debate the minutia yet miss the big picture topic.  It is not about this or that or the other.  The conversation has always been about God, as our origin and our destination.  People who seek an alternative explanation for the origin of man, use science, theory, philosophy and all available literary devices to convince themselves that we did not come from the Word of God, speaking us into existence.  They desperately must find another way so that they owe no debt of judgment for sin.  It is human nature to create illusionary circumstance where reality is too difficult to stomach.  So, many construct their own malleable version of this world in order to cope with the fear of judgment.  For them, I pray the most, for their house of cards shall tumble first.  The first moment into which God shows His face, which is coming soon, will eradicate all their illusionary safety.  When the enemies of God attack Israel and they shall, what God does next will remove the veil for all mankind.  There will be no denial as He will supernaturally destroy 5/6 of the approaching armies in one fell swoop, leaving no doubt of His sovereignty and promised protection of the remnant of Israel.

Let us depart from the truthful obfuscation of intelligentsia.  This argument is not about details, theories, strategies or battle plans.  God confounds the wisdom of the wise.  It is about God’s coming judgment and what we are willing to do about it.  Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His substitutionary death upon the Cross of Calvary to pay for the sins of mankind or don’t you?  That is the question that plagues the hearts of those who seek to steal the blood of the innocent.  They cannot afford to be found inadequate by a measure of their goodness so they turn to the only other illusion provided by the fallen angels that they must take the life of innocent people in order to receive God’s blessing.  Clear illusion, falsity and foolishness has captured the heart of desperate humans willing to seek God through ungodly, wicked acts of cruelty.  Forgive them Lord, lead them to the knowledge of the Truth so that they might see their sin and repent.  We the do’s owe it to them to give them every opportunity to choose righteously, for that is the reason why God has been so patient with humanity, giving all the time to come to that knowledge.

God help all to see the choice that lay before us as a species.  Forgive my unforgiveness and allow me to have a pure heart and clean hands.  Thank you Lord for giving us the time to come to a decision whether we do or don’t, you have freely given us the right of self determination.  Let all those who would escape judgment do so by being cleansed in the redeeming Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Father I know that the wicked shall be punished in righteous fashion, for Your Judgment is Fair.  We cry out to you now on behalf of the innocent, please Father, save them from the cruelty to come, hear their blood scream to you for justice, mercy and truth.  We love You Lord, in Jesus’ Holy Name.

True

Would it be true for me to say that I take all of my decisions to the Lord before choosing a path?  Would it be true to say that today I treated each person I encountered in a way that reflected the way I would want to be loved?  Would it be true that I have forgiven everyone whom offended me, especially those whom would be my enemies?  Would it be true that I loved my wife as Christ loved the church?  Would it be true that I put God first in a position that recognized His authority, sovereignty and unique position as the only object of my worship?  Would it be true that I walked as if I have been filled, indwelt, accompanied, counseled and taught by the Holy Spirit?  Would it be true that I remain a light and salt, preserving, sponsoring and convicting this world through God’s Word, prayer and observable living?  Would it be true that I live in this moment as if the Bible is True and I am responsible for my obedience to that Holy Word?

The truth is not meant for the lost alone.  In fact, the Truth of God’s Word should be established as necessary and unavoidable to those who have chosen to abide in Christ.  Do I perhaps avoid Truth as inconvenient, simply choosing to pull God’s double edge sword when my personal justification is not present?  What then is the power of Truth if it is subjected or susceptible to my personal reliance, interpretation or choice of timing and application?  Ouch, that one hurts.  How about for you?

Where can I go but to the Truth of God’s Word to determine my similarity in Christ.  How may I know if I am missing/making the mark as an ambassador if I have not firmly established the “Absolute Truth” of God’s Word as it applies to my every action?  I cannot depart from the Truth in convenience and ignore the conviction associated with misbehavior, as I am the Holy of Holies where God resides in this plane.  To deny that voice of Truth, making decisions based upon my own desires, understanding or misunderstanding immediately places me in the dangerous position of conflict with God.  In Truth, I have never heard any Christian claim that they wished for or invited hardship into their lives, yet that is exactly the outcome of this personal practice and flippant handling of Truth.

I sinned today, I recognized it, confessed it to God and turned away from it.  I followed that process purely based upon God’s Truth and my belief in its inerrant nature, its sufficiency and efficiency in removing the weighty implications of my sin.  I did not rely on my ability to conceal, justify, get over, ignore, cleanse or make up for that sin.  The Truth is that I can do nothing about my sin apart from Christ.  Just as Christ is the great dividing line of humanity, His forgiveness of sin is the great burden to which no other religion provides solution.  His Truth should be my Truth and when it isn’t I should immediately ask and receive His forgiveness for my transgression of that Truth.  I know that someday I will remain in Spirit all the time, never venturing from His Will, but today was obviously not that day.  For today’s transgression and in hope of my eventual total obedience to His Truth, I ask you Lord to forgive me and teach me how to remain steadfast to Your Truth, Always.  Praise God in Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
