When the count gets to one only that which matters is revealed. There must be a time limit to allow or deny the range of opportunities before launch. By nature our indifference may be nurtured forever without end. We as men must be forced by the construct and control of time to make a decision for or against the commands received.

Many will dodge authority that they never have to make the painful decision. Some choose regularly to be tested by the demand to decide. Where is your heart with regard to indifference, choice and avoidance? Are you the one who knows so firmly what he knows that you need no countdown to decide?

Perhaps the blessing is making a choice before the temptations and trials come to dissuade, deny or fearfully instruct? No blind man’s bluff or sweetened pot to influence a change of mind at sundown. What Word is so compelling that it is beyond influence, bribe or deceit? What story so sound and authentic that all who hear will invariably comply?

For me I don’t care about being wrong about God as the stakes are too high to lean to other understanding. That small quiet voice directs me to that which is right and true daily, reaffirming instantly the righteousness of God. For we all know that which is good versus what serves inherent need or want.

There is a right way to live and obeying God sits firmly at its foundation and root. There is no question when considering eternity, no indifference when defending your family, the vulnerable or innocent, no indecision when making that choice that allows you to confidently approach the throne room of the Maker to hear and obey the voices of all that lived before you.

Knowing faithfully that this choice was easily made and much harder to endure.
