Steadfast

There is no greater requirement for trust then consistency. For men to anticipate and rely upon a person’s character it is not charm, mercy or strength that they seek, but enduring reliability. That is why in our duty as men and the observance of Faith that the Holy Spirit is always referred to as Earnest or Steadfast. For the quality of a Good Shepherd or King depends specifically upon the surety and certainty of performance during crucial moments. That knowledge and dependence may never waver if a man, King or Troop are to observe the confidence of men beneath them or in service and reliance upon promise of such participation. We will never trust that which does not support our weakness during time of trial.

In my walk this characteristic most closely aligns me with the Work of the Holy Spirit. For people look to a shepherd, their shepherd for defense, provision, protection and direction primarily when decisions must be made or obstacles traversed. There is no more damaging plunge of personal reliance then to be found missing when needs arise. Thus, to begin in our pursuit of mirror likeness to God we must become absolutely reliable to those who deem us Trustworthy. Failure to perform or even be found accountability in time of trial will damage the fragile and squeamish dependence of people upon their shepherd, master or defensive Marshal.

Why is the Holy Spirit so filled with Power? It is that steadfast nature of God’s Spirit that makes it so incredibly powerful. Never an excuse, never an absence, never an unfulfilled promise, direction or supply. Faithful beyond our personal expectation, the Holy Spirit is so tremendously steadfast that He exceeds all expectation and arrives precisely on time, often arriving in anticipation of difficulty or need. He is the guarantee of our Rebirth in Christ, the sign and seal of our salvation, the physical manifestation of Promises Made by God through Christ Jesus. A certain, sure, faithful Spirit who never fails, is never late and most often exceeds any reasonable expectation of sheep and fold.

Anticipate questions to my anointed authority. For all must make a choice as to whom they trust and obey. That choice is the rudiment of rebellion to the Word, Promise and direction from the King. His desire alone matters. A shepherd, privileged to speak that Word or offer assistance is offering that same assistance of the Holy Spirit as if originating from source. Speaking slowly in Wisdom, given by God a man of God shall not find upset in the refusal of his offering. God alone is judge, but rebellion to the anointed is aimed at God’s Messenger and all things are in God’s Domain. Do not offer off hand slander, praise or curse believing that it shall not come before inspection of God.

Being consistent in content and delivery manifests trust within the Faithful heart. Living in consideration and review of all mannerisms and performance through similitude and likeness to Almighty allows a certain leeway and lack of doubt. One walking in the Will of God fully apprised of the convictions or commendations of the Holy Spirit, may walk in such a way as to know His Righteousness. When walking in such a way as to welcome fear and trembling at the Awesome Hand of God, we may rest assured in cooperation with His Will. Those who refuse to recognize the messenger bearing the righteous message, not opinion, false doctrine or mockery of the King ought to heed that message. But all remains Choice in the Love and Grace of God’s salvation for mankind. Even the devout believer may walk away from God, quenching the Holy Spirit in blasphemy and shame, for it was freely offered and accepted.

If a stone or tree spoke the Correct Gospel to passer’s bye. Would that tree or stone be disrespected or cherished? Would those vessels of God’s Merciful Word be resisted or accepted immediately as the miracles they appeared? Who feared the rage of the King for the prophets yet Killed and martyred? Why then do we doubt the men God has sent for our provision and encouragement. Yes, test the Spirits, yes be Barean and search the Word to measure that veracity. But do not disrespect or stone the messenger’s of Christ’s Gospel simply because you have the spirit of rebellion residing deep with your wounded heart. Certainly if false they must be called out and avoided, but the True, imbued by the righteousness of God ought be held in close regard as servants of the King. In Jesus name.
