What are the unnamed demands upon humanity of this current age? What unseen forces if any are guiding, prodding, directing and shaping men as whole? What is the purpose of this guidance and is there a role for judgment as to rightness or wrongness of the answers to these questions? What are the competing influences and how are we unwittingly or otherwise force to comply with rules upon which we have little influence? Is the helplessness that seems wed to walking this path true or simply man’s continued emotionality at his own inability to achieve our own way in a life we neither created or control?

Like it or not admit it or not there are unspoken rules in the universe over which we have little affect. Gravity, strength, electromagnetism, chaos, oxygenation and many would argue death. For instance Love. Does one control whom they love. No it is an influence that simply occurs, though we may ignore its weight upon us it simply is not matter our intention. Yet all of this appears effected by one influence over which humans do have a high level of control, the idea of choice. These laws are not changed by our choices but they do either become assets, enablers or enemies based upon the choices one makes. Much of our history and those who throughout history were labeled Wise is about how we interact with these natural boundaries, controlling influences of matter, power and acceleration or how we choose to fight against the river’s flow.

We are being required to have an internal argument over things we did not create that willing or not dictate certain “realities and limits” within our lives. For example though man wishes he could simply leave the planet and live elsewhere there are a complex list of variables and challenges that make that escape impossible first of which is funding. Escape velocity, mass, trajectory, atmosphere, pressure, gravity, time, direction and objective destination all stand either against us or guide our compliance in the realization that for most of us, space is not an option. Some would say the greatest of which is time/distance. Our lives being temporary and the distance so great to other bodies upon which to live, we are immediately governed by the overwhelming distance to places of opportunity.

One must immediately either enter into mentally disturbing conflict as to why things are so far apart in the universe or come to the realization of “that is simply how it is” in order to find some modicum of cohabitation with reality. However, these “realities” force each one of us into meditative CHOICE as to why things are the way they are, WHO made them that way and based upon the decisions HOW we are either going to cooperate with these “influences” or combat them. And once having decided to compete with the decisions of our rationality what alternate explanation or aligning forces do we decide to honor in our struggle against that which we know to be real and that which we Want to real. In effect our choice dictates the roads that we MAY travel limited by our decision to either fight against that which we know to be true and that which we have determined to replace it with. Knowing space is unavailable do I simply find contentment on this planet or do I seek another means of escaping it capture?

Imagination and the Avatars of Technology are the most obvious point of contention with reality. If I choose to deny the laws of the universe and ignore the fact that I cannot escape them then the internal infinities of the mind are my only departure. If I cannot be what I WANT to be then I can pretend by means of Tech/machine assistance to put on the charade of the life to which I Yearn. The language of the machine is neither good nor bad but rather becomes the reflection of my choices and in fact is my internal creation of an alternative to “Real” laws and influences I seek to escape. Certainly there are the string dimensions of alternate realities of phases within the construct of this dimension in time. However are these not discoveries already built into the machinery of creation that from which we are seeking relief? If I investigate or discover through trial within the inner workings of Space and Time will I indeed find the freedom my mind craves or simply have the reality that the same governing laws of a creation not my own follow me into what I thought to be free from them?

Where we are today is a mirror image of this internal struggle to which we all have been involuntarily cast. Did we choose to be born, NO? Did we choose the shape, size, family, wealth, talents and experiences of our travels through this existence? Again No. Can we escape the laws, arguments and discussions about Natural or Artificial Living and subscribe to one philosophy or another by CHOICE. Yes. The future is obviously a continuation and majority or minority quest to build and surround ourselves with those in consensus with our determination having made similar choices to govern in limited powerlessness against those things beyond our scope. We will either accept the idea of God or make ourselves the god of our own imaginary construction of places, ideals, laws, powers and influences with which have determined is what we deem to be real, imagined or otherwise.

The rub is Gravity is real. I cannot escape it except in weightlessness which has its own inescapable parameters. Denying God’s Creation and Sovereign does not free me from the absolute that He is the one who created the rules for His Universe. The fact that I do not wish to follow those rules, ignore those rules or invent a parallel space into which I inject or retreat has no bearing upon those rules as Natural in the universe. Again my choice to either acknowledge God or compete with God is the power I have exhibited but the are still influences expressed within a system over which I only have imaginary control. God does not need my acceptance, belief or approval to be what He is. However, those choices are the gift He has given each of us to determine our path forward in the river of life. Fight Him or befriend Him it is each of us that determines that CHOICE. The only power we have is actually rather Powerful.
