And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

This the famous Last Line of our own Declaration of Independence from Britain provides us the model for our own assurance, mental state and defense against all opposition. Will we refer and accept this model for our own identity in this current global struggle or will we choose perhaps more flimsy ideals that will lead to acquiescence of our Sovereign Republic? Secondarily, which should perhaps be primary is this commitment concerning Divine Providence reflective of our absolute commitment and surrender to God’s Purpose for our Lives as the Kingdom Work must be done prior to His Return?

For a moment let US break down this statement to its independent declaration of our resolve for no man wins a battle without the commitment to do what it takes for how long it takes as hard as it takes to prevail. The first clause gives US purpose that all we are going to declare or do will be in support of this declaration. Declaration’s demand a statement of contiguity. Here we firmly establish what we are willing to do in order to achieve all the objectives or maintain all the resolutions of the document. The founders clearly elaborated for the reader’s determined understanding and equal participation what must be done for success.

The second clause wonderfully declares that none of this may be achieved without our determination and actions being firmly established, rooted and fully dependent upon God’s Will and intervention for this nation. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me is written in His Glorious Word that Believers may fully understand the impossible may be achieved through dependence upon the Holy Spirit. The Founder’s believed that this Independence was impossible without firm reliance upon God’s benevolent Good and Perfect Will and Fortunate Blessings.

And finally when entering any seemingly impossible commitment having firmly established its basis in Divine Provision and a willingness to do whatever it demands for completion we are called to understand the personal cost of such endeavors. In this final clause these men basically said they were all in for the formation of America. Yet, they said it such a way that it inspired the courage, fealty and aspirations of all men who would be part of this new nation. They were bound by pledge, an oath taken before God which the Word warns should never be taken lightly as God will hold US to them. These men swore and pledged to each other not only their very lives but their Reputation, their honor and all that they owned to bring this nation into a state of Sovereignty, independence and Freedom.

Are we made of the type of material that can make such an oath before God and Men? Do we have the requisite courage and commitment to do it again alienating ourselves from the dysfunctional Government to set ourselves upon the rails of God Providence once again headed for righteous high places? Will we answer the call of Christ with that same abandon, surrender and absolute dependence upon God’s Provision and Plan for this nation? That is what Sovereign Independence Requires an ironic absolute Dependence upon the one who grants it to each of US, The Lord God Almighty, In Jesus Holy Name.
