Lost sight of land, lost sight through the tears in eyes to the pen within my hand. A night without light, a fight without the reason or cause to stand by my demand. Friends and Brothers gone, forced away by the raging voice of arrogance and pride within. No longer wrong but hopelessly outside the zone where hope and healing begin.
Love has no fault, it just seeks for good purpose to see to the health and provision for all. A dove just alights, but the glory of God’s Pleasure protects all of us from experiencing the fall. A day without reason and a week without pause and song without lyrics and a war without cause. No longer away simply running to stay several feet ahead of the Lion’s Paws.
My skin grows tight as the hunger racks my body I shudder from the sting of the wind. So long I’ve sinned and pinned to the ground by the rock of my prison my wings are unable to find. The wind to lift above the deception and lies of those sold out to shade. I got a spark and the fuel of a fire that burns brighter and higher than the flames of his arrow or edge of his blade.
The surface looms so far above that reaching it is a dream I once had as I slept God pulled me to life. The air consumes each fiber of my lungs burns with the desire to be rid of my strife. All reason and folly like Matthew and Molly are a dance with a smile fed by gin. My answers don’t follow nor the dreams that I swallow without the courage to ever begin.
What sort these words to provoke the anger and retribution of men. Where, why and when are the questions we’re asking in a world without end. I had no shame nor blame for those who found us of long word. We wore our heart and the part where they wept we stood kindly aside with power inside knowing victory had come to this World.
