A measure of Faith

Is hope a measurement and if so of what? The propensity to believe, not just in things uncommon but things rumored, foretold or unseen transcends the boundaries of culture, race and nationality. Therefore theories to which like people gather in agreement must possess a certain quality of truth, credibility or fill an empty desire for sensationalism present in all manner of global peoples. But Hope seems to be the one positive reflection that appears most common to people in their daily attempt to overcome the obstacles associated with life’s struggle. Therefore this peculiar element demands close review. What is the measure of hope and its benefits or detractors.

Recently there has a been a significant campaign by scientists to bridge the gap to spirituality with psychological explanations of those things which science being limited to the real, nature or experiment tested subjects has been lithe to explain. For example; “Hope doesn’t relate to IQ or to income,” says psychologist Shane Lopez, PhD, a senior scientist at Gallup and author of the 2013 book “Making Hope Happen.” “Hope is an equal opportunity resource.” Quoted from

Mission impossible

Being hopeful is good for you — and psychologists’ research is pinpointing ways to foster the feeling.

What Science seemingly intends to create an idea that hope may be increased, taught and built upon but fail to adequately explain hope’s original birthplace. And in so doing scientists may expertly deal with the utilization, outcomes and expectations of hope without violating their original premise that Science can deal with nothing outside of the natural. Remember science rigidly depends on that which is testable, explainable and natural so to explain the Positive inherent nature of a quality that people simply have requires a step outside of Scientist’s reach. Just as the understanding of hope demands such stretch so does the calculation of its measurement which is Faith. The Bible on the other hand has no such struggle nor difficulty in explaining those things which are Spiritual and fully explains the origin and the measure of hope for all men to readily understand. Question; Would you rather accept understanding from a discipline that admittedly is performing mental gymnastics in its capacity to explain life’s characteristics or go to a source that has no problem in its explanation and use?

This is the magic of the modern educator. They can explain spirituality without ever having had a raisin of it in their crumpet. Much the same as the United States Currently struggles in understanding that you cannot have a Sovereign Constitutional Republic without a relationship with God who gave U.S. the Sovereignty inherent to its creation. To measure Hope you must understand its collective result called Faith. And to understand that measure you must have first accepted God’s existence without which Faith is impossible for it is beyond the measures of science.

Faith is the mature expectation that God’s Promises are real and that somehow things are going to work out regardless that sensory data tells us the opposite. So faith looks outside the Science of senses to provide the Hope and the eventual Faith to believe that things are going to be alright even when they are drastic or tragic in the moment. It seems unlikely that science can make the leap to adjudicator, explainor or trainor in a discipline which their tools are inadequate to explain. I get the pressure to explain those things within life that are beyond one’s own capacity, understanding or belief, but to do so we must venture into that dangerous area of opinion. Opinion by its nature is subjective and therefore must rely on an established credibility of man to be retained, accepted and believed. God does not require that credibility be established for His Word Prevails, exists and cannot be disproven. You see God establishes understanding He does not require that you believe it to establish His or the Truth’s Credibility. It simple is and it is true without your or my subjective opinion or approval.

God describes the nature of Hope as a belief in things not yet seen which is fully consistent with the idea its understanding is outside of the senses for it is inconsistent with what is currently being seen by the individual and rather a belief in something different than what our eyes are telling us. How does one develop, reward or increase the capacity to not trust their senses? How is that even possible to scientifically train oneself to not follow your senses but believe something in spite of them? That is belief. A reach outside the understanding of the individual to the acceptance of Sovereignty. You see we choose to believe the Higher Credibility of God’s Word to the fragile and limited data perceived in our senses. That is something that science may only guess upon which labels science as a fragile, limited discipline compared to Faith in Almighty God.

You want power over this life and understanding beyond the limited disciplines of this world, the only way is Faith, Hope and Belief upon the Things of God, Without which you will be forever limited to the parameters of the natural and experiential, which is illogical by nature for all of us know that there are spiritual things that cannot simply be explained by our senses or science. I pray you find an expanded universe and become powerful in hope through relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ the King of Everything.
