Hope just as in Breath we take is part of understanding the powers in Life. A man absent power will never hope but find a way to survive in desperation. Women without hope of deliverance from current prolonged circumstance will recline themselves to the tortures of loveless marriages, abuse and financial insecurity. Hope as in that breath you just took revives the organs, bones, blood, tissue and memories with a flare of oxygenated nitrogen for life’s continuance. What would life be without the hope of a next breath?

What makes a winner out of a loser? Why can two men have the exact same upbringing and one springboard to fortune and peace while the other remains relegated to oppression, squalor and continued difficulty? Those who believe that it must be chance that there is no authority to break free of those bonds of worldly or self creation. If it were luck then what of the historical record of each of these men’s effort to dig themselves out from underneath the rubble of humanity? Did the effort sponsor luck? Or was it the hope, the singular belief in possibility that gave them that extra energy or inertia to reach escape velocity?

Hope is that thing beyond you and me. It is that vision, seeing something of probability, possibility, Spiritual promise or act of God in mercy. It can only be found in the heart of the living for there are no dead man’s hopes. Just as God is God of the Living so is the Hope we place upon His faithfulness when we believe in our salvation, deliverance, sanctification and glorification. It is something not seen by mortal men but by those eyes who wish to know eternity and heart inclined to the whisper of God’s small quiet voice.

Where is your Hope? For what do you wish? How may I pray that you achieve all that and more as God’s Grace enters the realization of your prayers. In Jesus’ Name.
