Am I to cower from the socially accepted threats of giants to squash me into my insignificance? How might a shepherd present some measure of believable resistance to the overwhelming power and authority of controlling families, faiths and federal mandate?  Simply, you have in your prideful examination forgotten the most important evidence for fear of your own regard.  That reason being, I am not here of my own accord nor am I alone in my quest to have the Gospel message received and spread to all those who would be free.  Just as David knew that He was righteously defended in his stand against the giant of Gath, I am filled with the Holy Spirit of God speaking the Word that He would have me share for His Good Purposes which frankly are in direct conflict with your eager threat to my person.

Did your leader, satan, not prepare you with the entire story of Glory that you might know against whom you contend? Of course not, for that would mean admitting the Sovereignty of God and idea the enemy avoid in an effort to decodify reality.  The Lord rebuke him if He so chooses. You see, “greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world”.  That is not cause for braggadocio, simply context for understanding and preparation from your side to ready for the battle to which you have committed.  You see, you are fighting against the people of the Sovereign God of the Universe and He does not take kindly to threats nor actions taken against His beloved.  Be assured even if you were to win the day, it would be for the purposes of God’s achievement of greater objective of which my defeat is frankly purposeful.

You see Giant, tyrant, criminal, bully or king, you are making a grand mistake in simply looking to my diminished status or position of authority without looking to the Spirit that empowers, indwells and provides for my assured victory.  If God is for me who than can be against me.  That may not ring a bell for you because it is in God’s Word and you may not have taken the time to understand your enemy, a prideful miscalculation on your part, thinking yourself impervious to the tiny stone I have hurled with alacrity and precision.  We are not fodder for your glorification and if perchance you do take our lives or punish, torture and maim my Brothers and Sisters you shant escape the judgment that awaits you in front of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ Himself.

See, your master may not have told you the entire truth, but now that I have you now possess the opportunity to rethink your position.  Will you rise up against the Lord in certain defeat and eternal punishment or will you repent, accept His offer of mercy and grace and count Him Your Saviour, King, God?  If I were facing your predicament and those type of odds I would withdraw to certain mockery, knowing that embarrassment and short term shame much better counsel than eternal loss.  You ponder that, fight if you must, but you shall not leave this field with me.  In Jesus’ Name.
