What if God were unkind, instead of being merciful, gracious and forgiving?  Would you follow Him, if His Will, as you’ve surrendered to it took you into predicament, unfortunate incident or malaise?  Or is His Will only acceptable when it blossoms before you broadening and coloring your horizon with positivity?  What would you think of God, when as in Jobs circumstance, you lost everything a man holds dear in a instant?  Would you bless God or curse Him?

How does your perspective limit God?  How have you carved Him out of your plastic imagination, determining how you view Him instead for who He is?  What graven God do you serve instead of the Almighty God who is sovereign in all things, having made each of us for His Good Purpose?  Is God okay with you and your kids when He hands out seamingly unending blessing and then disobeyed, ignored or mocked when He does anything inconsistent with out scripting?  If you are sitting on your butt when He has called or commanded you to action, you can bet that you have a graven God, incapable of disciplining you into proper behavior.  But caution my Brothers and Sisters, we serve a Righteous King who sees every behavior, whether action or inaction.  Do not take God’s Name placed upon your life in Vain, act with belief, with purpose and hunger for understanding.

I know these words are mine, so they may be excused as the ineffectual trifles of a corrupt man.  I acknowledge this with certainty.  If I were to speak in God’s double edged sword all truth would be revealed.  However, I am trying to reach those who close their ears when God’s Word enters the conversation.  He loves you and because He loves you He knows the best thing for your life and will discipline you for His Good Intention.  Don’t think Him like other false God’s, disinterested, fickle, standoffish.  We serve the God who describes Himself as the one “Who Is”.  That name alone proclaims a God that lives with us.  He is integrally involved with our growth toward a time when He may reside with us.  You may dismiss me as foolish or hypocritical and perhaps you may find some evidence in my life to justify your view, but you cannot mistake His depiction and Word regarding His own character.

If you don’t know Him, my advice is find out who it is that you are contending with before you are utterly destroyed by someone who has the power and authority to speak you into unbeing.  If you call yourself Christian, then find out what that means, do not toy around with Almighty God.  If a Sovereign God is not Sovereign in your life then you have less than nothing.  He made the rules, we have been given the choice, that blessed choice whether to follow and be set aside, saved for eternity, or disobey and be equally judged for eternity.  What a choice.  If you need some help thinking this out please let me know and I will either help myself or find someone to assist.  God bless you this day for the purpose and pleasure of His Good Will and Glory.  In Jesus Name
