Got Power?

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Have you tasted of the spirit of God and found Him Good?  Have you seen power, leveraged, utilized or demonstrated by any church member, in your lifetime, to the purpose of witnessing for Christ?  Do you know that we are to have the power of the Holy Spirit as we do the work of Ambassadors?  Has anyone in the church or otherwise given any instruction as to what the use of this power entails?  Do you feel that since this is the last thing that Jesus said to the Apostles before ascending in to the clouds that it may be of some gravity or importance in our discipleship?

The power that hovered over the deep at the beginning of the formation of the Earth, resides inside you right now.  Does that resonate or is it something you just took for granted and never truly investigated?  Lord, Holy Father, I ask you to make known to every Christian the techniques for working with Your Spirit to the Glory of Your Great plan.  Guide us, educate us and empower us to do those things which are necessary to set the captives free, heal the sick, cast out demons and change hearts.  We want to know the indwelling of the Holy Spirit intimately as did Your Apostles.  We pray to be filled with Your Power in such a way that by using Your Word we bring many hearts to Christ.  If it be Your Will Father, let my Brothers and Sisters call down the Holy Fire as needed to demonstrate Your Truth and protect the innocent.  Holy Spirit, please come inside the churches, we desperately need You in this our greatest hour of need as harvest approaches.

I do not pray for power for any man, but the wisdom and instruction to utilize the Power of God in fulfillment of our saintly capacity.  Lord, how long will Your enemies mock You without answer?  Thank You that Your Word declares that at a perfect time they will be answered, judged and found wanton.  Father give us the capacity to walk through that valley Lord, fearing nothing but the time spent away from you.  Father, I depend on Your promises and ask that we be filled with Your Spirit in such a way that no man or woman may look upon a Christian without immediately seeing Your Glory.  Father, I pray that all be found doing Your Work when You return for Your Church.  In Jesus Name.
