The temptation has always been there to utilize God’s gifts or prostitute God’s grace for personal gain.  Balaam was a gentile, but knew God.  He was given prophesy of the coming Messiah and instead of serving God chose to enrich himself by hurting the Jews and disobeying God’s warning.  How many that called themselves believers have dabbled in the occult, visions, predictions and magics, placing themselves in direct disobedience to God’s command.

Isn’t the root of all these attempts aligned with self enrichment, self glory, stature or worldly acceptance?  Are we not doing the same thing that has been attributed to the enemy, misusing the energies of God’s created universe to honor our own glorification?  Remember the things that made Jesus mad, misusing the things and house of God was one that brought out his visible ire.  If we are using God’s name to enrich ourselves through the sales of merchandise or services then we have fallen pray to the same sirens that claimed Balaams heart.

We are all susceptible to temptation surrounding personal aggrandizement.  Self worship is still adulterous in the eyes of God.  God’s Word is sufficient to the need of educating humanity.  My musings are nothing but conversation and lesser contemplations of the Majesty and Glory from the Word of Almighty God.  There is not one single idea I can generate, orate, translate or dictate that is original to my own possession.  All the wisdom I have, which I assure everyone is minimal, came from God.  If I were to prophecy and is was inconsistent with God’s Word, I would plead with You to forgive me, run from me and forget anything I have ever spoken.  Selling things using God’s position of favor is anathema.  They will say that God has told them this or that, and that God has placed them in that position so that they can do enormous work for the Kingdom.  Why then do their names occupy the position of authorship for their “self help” Christianity books.  If a “Christian” book doesn’t create in you an enormous hunger to go to the Bible and find the truth, meet God and build relationship, then it serves the desires of flesh and the enemy.

Remember there is great power in this world, incumbent and available to those of the heavenly realm, powers and principalities.  Tapping into these powers is forbidden by God, all authority, power, miracle, healing and blessing comes from God.  The enemy would enjoy nothing more then to mock God as some of us try to manipulate circumstances by serving the wants and will of satan.  Stay away from magics, sorcerers, oracles, mantras, mother earth energies, yogas, chi’s, shakras, divination, burnished idols of internal djinn spirits and anything promising a short cut to God’s blessings of grace, health and abundance.  Wait upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised.  He is Your Only redemption, Your provision and Your wealth.  If it doesn’t come from Him then You should rid yourself of it as fast as you can.  Sinking sand may deliver footing for a short time but will eventually deliver you to darkness.
