http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/19/world/meast/christians-flee-mosul-iraq/index.html?hpt=hp_t4 Here is your “peaceful” religion, conducting slaughter, terror, tax and unholy crusades against law abiding residents of Mosul, or as Jonah knew is Nineveh.
Who will go and proclaim God’s command of repentance or imminent judgment? Now we can see why Jonah got on a boat toward Spain. Are there any Christians with the Holy Boldness attributed to a filling of the Holy Spirit of God, willing to put aside worldly comforts and aspirations to bring the Good News of Christ and God’s impending judgment for their wickedness in Nineveh? Do we fear the evils that men do, so greatly, that we have placed far from our minds the miracles in the Hand of God? Shall Christians be driven, as lemmings or defenseless sheep before the cruel hand of idol worshipers, forced to become refugees, while no one speaks out against this travesty? Are we so afraid of islam that we will no longer lift our voices against obvious injustice? Where are the leaders in our own churches, government and community organizations calling for military assistance and asylum for those being forced before this unholy throng of utter thuggery?
“Here I am Lord send me”, words so famously offered to God by Isaiah the prophet as he realized his own inadequacy. We call ourselves vessels yet we send none to aid those being driven from their homes by the minions of air principalities. We call ourselves “new creation” yet we offer nothing but a phone call or public “photo op” in absence of any real courage or Holy Spirit direction. What have we become that we will stand as children are abused, raped, murdered or worse yet forced through conscript to support this unholy nightmare? Where are the real men of old, willing to stand against tyranny in proclamation of God’s Good Word in defense of women, children and the elderly? Who will offer themselves as sacrifice to God to shout in righteousness against this darkness? You are my God, Jesus, Your Will be done, here and in heaven. Send me, in my weakness your glory will be observed, for I am certainly inadequate to this tasking.
We better begin to “be of good courage” as God directed or all innocence will become capitulated offering as defenseless sacrifice to the iron, bronze and ghastly gods of this age. Stand against the wiles of our enemy with your shields bound together wielding the two-edged sword of God’s Almighty Word in close combat. We are the workers for God’s harvest and we must tend the fields until He determines it is time to reap that which has been sown from the seeds planted by Jesus Christ the King.
