Time

It is okay to take your time in determining your relationship to God.  Belief never happens in a moment and faith takes time to grow from planted seed.  However, untended crops are left to the mercies of happenstance and those statistics are rarely favorable.  Just as in any relationship it takes intention, effort, action and endurance to cultivate a firm belief, reliance and dependence on God.  We must feed our minds with the Word of God, tasting it, testing it, learning that it is always Right and True.  We must spend time in mutual conversation with the Lord, sharing our hearts with Him and investing the quiet time necessary to be assured of His guidance.  We must walk the roads of this life having our faith tested so that it may grow stronger with each success or failure.  We must constructively build our endurance to trials through remaining consistent in thought, deed and grace opportunity.  The Lord created the universe by turning His thoughts into word and action, this is the example we were meant to follow and repeat.

Taking time to foster a good relationship is the most noble exercise.  Though much must be said about the circumstances, constraints and limitations of time, energy and opportunity.  We are now clearly deep into the end times, where the Lord may return for His Church and Judgment at any time.  Wars rage, pestilence and hunger consume and perceived freedoms dwindle with each passing day.  Time is in short supply and as we all know time cares not whether you are found among the prepared of those in eternal regret.

We are seeing signs, just as Jesus exclaimed would be evident as acknowledgement to the faithful of His return.  The earth has reached a point of disquiet mirroring the circumstances our Lord warned the Apostles of which to be aware.  It is time to prepare our crops for the harvest approaches.  It is time to fertilize, feed and water that which still remains hungry for the gathering approaches.  It is time to spend every possible quiet moment in prayer and consultation with God as He is our shelter, strength and salvation.  This old world ain’t goin much further but with God we shall soon get a glimpse of eternity.  Prepare your hearts, resolve your differences, make haste to your prayer closet and spend those precious moments getting to know our God.  Do the work so that you may see the results of our efforts in retrospect as He and you look back over a life well lived.  In Jesus’ Nighty Name, I stand only by the will of His outstretched hand lifting me upright.  Praise God in all His Glory and Might.  Forgive them Father as you once forgave me.

Terminal velocity

The catastrophe plays out, daily, for all to see.  An unrepentant world, oblivious to the erosive and corrosive potency of sin that threatens our common existence.  Worried, empowered, delighted or apathetic each human copes with the the chaotic effects of a world, wobbling on its axle, struggling to stay upright.  But right is wrong and left become right as the laws which we thought controlled us begin to unravel, revealing for all to see that too much freedom is the worst type of prison.  Pestilence is loosed, war gathers pitch, pride denies forgiveness and storms feed from God’s gathering wrath.  We have become what God spent millennia bidding us avoid.  Wisdom is only valuable to those who believe in truth, for the prideful, mockers and unrelenting wicked shall not accept its cherished hand of help.

Prayer for the Christians makes us powerful.  Not the self potent will that greedy men desire, but powerful in the Spirit of God through Christ able to call upon the Almighty name of the King and know without doubt response is guaranteed.  That is strength, which made most laugh, thinking us impotent as we clung to our faith when reason pried at our fingers gripping the leather bound wonder of God’s inerrant Word.  You see this world is failing, not because of improper construct, but because we as men cannot solve the problems which confound us for they are of our own construction and thus impervious to our authority.  We have  become party to the misguided passions of fallen angels in their quest to have a moment with Almighty God, thinking themselves equals to His majesty.  Those of us who pursue this course shall face their very same fate and in a moment be sentenced to eternal damnation and separation from God.  The oddest component that we were never meant to share this suffering but to ask and receive God’s offer of forgiveness through grace, given by the cross of Jesus Christ the King.

Soon they will target God’s saints, as satan bids them, thinking foolishly that if they rid the world of Jews and Christians this will somehow hurt or forestall God’s imminent return, judgment and wrath.  This is the greatest foolishness, like stopping time, avoiding death or raging at the wind.  As Christians we must pray for the Nation of Israel and accept our own participation in the suffering with Christ.  For He told us in advance that they will hate us just because we share in His Good Name.  They are doomed, let us not cast our own anger or curse upon them for there is no punishment greater than that which they embrace.  Let us instead love them to our own end, even at their misguided or wicked actions.  For God so loved this world that He would have us love them and forgive them as He did by sending His son to die for the sins of mankind.

I have no authority but I command you to pray continuously in the Mighty Name of Christ the King.  I have no great talent, but I will use all that He has given me through His awesome Spirit to heal the sick, cure the blind and release those imprisoned.  I have no skill at the sword but I will speak His Word in Love and Truth, hewing bone from tendon and spirit from soul.  I have no lands yet as a prince I command the spirits of the air to leave this earth and never return for it belongs to Christ the King of All who holds the title deed to its riches through God.  I have no great skill with Words, yet my speech may not be denied for these are the Words of God Almighty, proclaiming His coming judgment through the lips and hands of a willing servant.  I pray for the innocent and the wicked that God would have mercy on us all through Christ, redeeming us to grace in eternity spent with Him.  I praise You Lord for it is right to do so.  In Jesus that Mighty Name of God.

You sure you meant me, Lord?

http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/19/world/meast/christians-flee-mosul-iraq/index.html?hpt=hp_t4 Here is your “peaceful” religion, conducting slaughter, terror, tax and unholy crusades against law abiding residents of Mosul, or as Jonah knew is Nineveh.

Who will go and proclaim God’s command of repentance or imminent judgment?  Now we can see why Jonah got on a boat toward Spain.  Are there any Christians with the Holy Boldness attributed to a filling of the Holy Spirit of God, willing to put aside worldly comforts and aspirations to bring the Good News of Christ and God’s impending judgment for their wickedness in Nineveh?  Do we fear the evils that men do, so greatly, that we have placed far from our minds the miracles in the Hand of God?  Shall Christians be driven, as lemmings or defenseless sheep before the cruel hand of idol worshipers, forced to become refugees, while no one speaks out against this travesty?  Are we so afraid of islam that we will no longer lift our voices against obvious injustice?  Where are the leaders in our own churches, government and community organizations calling for military assistance and asylum for those being forced before this unholy throng of utter thuggery?

“Here I am Lord send me”, words so famously offered to God by Isaiah the prophet as he realized his own inadequacy.  We call ourselves vessels yet we send none to aid those being driven from their homes by the minions of air principalities.  We call ourselves “new creation” yet we offer nothing but a phone call or public “photo op” in absence of any real courage or Holy Spirit direction.  What have we become that we will stand as children are abused, raped, murdered or worse yet forced through conscript to support this unholy nightmare?  Where are the real men of old, willing to stand against tyranny in proclamation of God’s Good Word in defense of women, children and the elderly?  Who will offer themselves as sacrifice to God to shout in righteousness against this darkness?  You are my God, Jesus, Your Will be done, here and in heaven.  Send me, in my weakness your glory will be observed, for I am certainly inadequate to this tasking.

We better begin to “be of good courage” as God directed or all innocence will become capitulated offering as defenseless sacrifice to the iron, bronze and ghastly gods of this age.  Stand against the wiles of our enemy with your shields bound together wielding the two-edged sword of God’s Almighty Word in close combat.  We are the workers for God’s harvest and we must tend the fields until He determines it is time to reap that which has been sown from the seeds planted by Jesus Christ the King.

Wait and believe

http://www.wnd.com/2014/07/science-writer-atheists-might-not-exist/  A funny thing happened on the way to develop my cognitive belief narrative, said that anarchist to the agnostic about the atheist.

How do I maintain composure, trust and assurance through the time of unclear direction by God?  God’s prophets knew well how to react to times when the Lord apparently reserved or had no direction for these men.  They understood the subtle hand of God in their lives, sometimes using “behind the scene” influences to change the course of rivers over time.  What allowed them to wait out these times, resisting the urges of flight or fight, taking a stand where they were to align themselves with God’s lack of direction?

What we believe determines our position, actions, responsibilities and governs our list of potential options when confronted by this world’s direction.  I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not as some convenience to add my name to a list of personnel acceptable to speak at luncheons.  I believe that the Lord God knew before the beginning of this or any world that we would rebel in a manner commensurate with our prideful nature.  I believe that although Adam and Eve had the “free will” opportunity to choose otherwise, that God knew they would fall to satan’s convincing rhetoric in the garden.  I believe that the Creator knew that He would have to physically enter time and space as a human being to sacrifice himself in order to demonstrate His amazing love for creation.  I believe that in spite of all the enemy’s attempts to forestall that entry into our dimension, the Lord was born to a virgin mother, humbly having accepted herself as the vessel of God’s entry into the world, fulfilling all prophecy and predictions made by prophets, priests and kings.

Furthermore, I believe that God lived a perfect life as a man, determining for Himself the moment of His death at the brutal hands of human judges as payment of the collective sin debt for all humanity.  I believe that He voluntarily gave up life to pay the awesome price of sin so that all of humankind would again have an opportunity to enter relationship with the Holy, Almighty Creator of the Universe.  I believe that He is God and I am not.  Therefore, I believe that my perspectives on His rules are irrelevant in adapting or changing them.  Since He is the Sovereign Creator, what He says goes.  My only “choice” is one of dedication, whether I will accept His rules and act in compliance or conflict with those written guidelines.

I choose to comply with His awesome gift of pardon for my sins.  I believe that if I repent of my sins and believe that God became man, Jesus Christ, and lived, died and resurrected Himself as propitiation for my sins that I am included in a small segment of humanity that has surrendered ourselves to the Truth that is the Lord God.  I further believe that those who Love God and Truthfully believe will by their new Spirit nature walk a path consistent with His principles, turning themselves away from behaviors associated typically with carnality, selfishness, sensory fulfillment and wanton/wickedness.  The ideas of holiness and wickedness are juxtaposed, they cannot occupy the same space, the same mind or the same life direction.  This is the conflict to which all of humanity finds itself participant.

I believe that the prophets, heroes and notable characters for good in Biblical history shared a commitment to the Light.  I believe that they demonstrated their faith by maintaining course, attitude and action consistent with their belief in God’s Word of Truth.  I believe that they exercised and demonstrated that faith through resolve to wait upon God’s direction rather than taking those dictated by their own hearts and minds.  I believe that they used three techniques; one – they remained connected to God through prayer and scriptural review, two – they stayed the course upon which God had originally launched them and three – they took faith that God was always there especially during times of waiting, accepting fully that even when God’s Hand was not evident that He was inevitably at work behind the scenes orchestrating all things toward good for those who remained true to His calling.

I believe that politically correct speech is the enemy’s effective attempt to force vacillation in commitment.  For example we cannot say that abortion or homosexuality are wrong without potentially violating the “doctrines of tolerance” forcibly enacted by worldly authority.  It forces Christians to silence, which serves the purpose of God’s enemies.  As Christians cannot speak the Truth in faith and love without having to out themselves as pronounced “intolerants”.  This argument is fallacy, devised by the enemy for “truth is truth” and the edicts of right and wrong are written upon the hearts of men to violate or follow.  Even the most ardent atheist has a sense of the wicked and divine.  It is simply wrong to murder, in any circumstance, but the edicts of tolerance would have us move the goal posts of our own belief in order to make certain self-serving practices, like that of abortion, legal to serve the “will of man” and not the Will of God.

Man cannot serve two masters, especially where politically correct speech guidelines are concerned.  We either believe in God’s Word as Truth or we believe in man’s definition/interpretation of right and wrong.  We have collectively made this determination here in America when the rule of law was changed from Biblical virtue to the historical determination of man back in 1872.  And let us be clear, as we all readily know, that negligence, naivete and bystanding are all admissions of guilt/inclusion within the parameters of the doctrines of tolerance.  The Lord makes it crystal that “do nothings” and “say nothings” are included in the party to be judged, not the party to be acquitted.  Remaining silent as a Christian is demonstration of disbelief and inclusion in the Worldly Doctrine Party.  For a man cannot both speak the truth in faith and love as God directs and remain silent to the atrocities and wickedness of humanity/the need for a savior.

I choose to believe in the Word of God, where ever that may lead.  I shall not fear man as I see him rattling his saber above my proffered neck.  I am not bound by the limitations of man or the used car sales pitches of the fallen who would have me believe that this life is all I have.  I am a child of the Most-High God and He has directed that I speak the truth to the world that seems bereft of truth.  I have chosen to wait upon the Lord in every action of my life, certainly I fail, sputter, get weak and have to regain my footing when it falters, but I remain a soldier and priest on the battlefield for Christ.  The Lord is my shepherd, who may I ask is yours?

Mourn

Forgive me Father, for those things I continue to do in direct conflict with your commands for my life.  I mourn for festering sin, it’s growth flourishing, fed by the wanton hearts of a rebellious humanity.  We have been given over to our decadence and the odd becomes worse then reality, it has become socially acceptable norm.  Our children no longer flinch, avoid or become repulsed by abhorrent behavior, they now consider it acceptable, even participating in steadfast support of what God deems abomination.  Lest we forget God’s controlled and just wrath, we must remember the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah as they were wiped from existence not simply for practicing those acts counter to God’s direction but for condoning such behavior.

Forgive me Father for the violence in my heart.  This is the thing that you most dislike about humanity.  I mourn my participation in the summary judgment and rash punishment of my fellow humans as if I have any authority or basis upon which to base my righteous condemnation.  We have followed the enemy in our continual acceptance of brutality against mankind, proclaiming ourselves judge, jury and executioner in our words, deeds, cinema and our propensity to war.  We know from whence these urges are born and promoted, yet we continue to view them as innocuous.  Let us not lend our allegiance or loyalty to an enemy preaching and promoting anything but the Prince of Peace.  Lest we forget the flood which cleansed the earth of a violent humanity whose every thought was of violence, cruelty and ills done to our fellow man.  We must remember the purity which God preserved in Noah’s family, which is easily corrupted by lacking diligence, commitment and vigilance.

Forgive me Father for my inconsistent intercessory prayer.  How may I consider myself, prince and priest if I do not practice those things consistent with an intercessory prayer warrior, through beseeching you continuously in prayer.  We have grown cold in our relationship with you Father.  We consider you more a genie, or djinn to be commanded in time of want or need then the Holy, Righteous, Almighty, God that you are.  My prayer is worship, representative of my true understanding of Your Glory and Sovereignty.  Lest we forget Jesus’ admonition to the churches in the luke warm behavior, return our hearts to persistent prayer.  Teach us to depend totally on you Father for our every need, reward or lesson.  Give us a heart for relationship with you.

Jesus please delay your coming until each of us has done their righteous and willing duty to proclaim the Gospel to everyone for which we have influence, opportunity or responsibility.  Let us comprehend fully the price you’ve paid so that we may assist you in pulling souls back from eternal separation and judgment.  Give us hearts designed for Your Will alone.

Sing of God’s Wondrous Grace

Grace is offered to all willingly and openly.  God stands with open arms welcoming all who heed to calling to repent and surrender, waiting, bidding you come and be forgiven.  You may be set free from the burden, chaos, control and price of sin on your life, having your debts cancelled and sins washed clean by the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ the Lord.  The is no grander gift, than the blood of the righteous and rightful King given as ransom for His beloved creation.  Given so that even the wicked may turn from their sin in repentance and find sufficient grace and abundance in eternity spent with Almighty God.

Forgiven, does that mean what we believe that it means?  Our sins forgotten, separated from us, removed without trace like tar and feathers from a tarnished, snake oil peddler.  Gone, never to be remembered, made new, made whole, healed, saved, cleansed for a timely appointment with an everlasting savior.  I mourn for this world that buckles to the breaking point from the weight of our collective and individual transgression.  Babies murdered, families forgotten, bodies polluted with unholy sex, drink and drugs, people left to suffer in their misery all for the price of power, greed and prominence.  He loves them dearly, enough that He died for them, in their place, waiting until the very last minute to allow them to recognize and accept His standing invite.  What a God that we serve, who would suffer such indignation for the love of men.  He is truly beyond my reckoning.

Father, we cannot go on yet we know nothing else but the wondering of our inescapable thirst, unquenchable hunger and insatiable desire for fulfillment.  Our disobedience is total, there is no innocence left that we have yet to plunder, no pledge inviolate nothing sacrosanct.  We have reached the bottom and having no where left to go we shall soon turn on each other, biting, gnashing, cannibalizing our brothers for the price of breathing room.  Father I ask you to forgive them, draw them near to you so they may see the unwieldy price of their unrepentant sin.  Make of them workers for the coming harvest so that they might someday see Your face or be comforted.  I sing of Your Wondrous Grace knowing my voice is too small, too whimsical, too frail to make any difference above the deafening moans of humanity, but somehow my loving whispers and hums will reach your ears and perhaps bring a smile to Your brow.  I love You and that is more than enough.  Sing of the King, A King who gave everything for those He loved so that He might show them the way to receive His Love in person forever.  Jesus, My God and My King.
