It was not me that saved myself, nor me who cleansed the filth of sin from my soul, nor did I create a new creature unrecognizable from the man once standing in my place.  It has always been God who delivered me, chastened me, washed me, saved me and sustains me.  I may muster or bluster about some change that I’ve made or planned obstacle I intend to overcome through sense, wisdom or will, but it will invariably be Him alone who gets me through the storm.  I am capable of one thing and only one thing, “Choice”, and only that because He gave it to me as gift through grace.  I chose to believe in Jesus when He revealed Himself to me, I chose to surrender my life to His will, which is always better than my own, I chose to let Him transform me into something I could not myself become.  In the end it has always been my Hope in Him that made anything possible in this life or the next.

I see so many who have lost the sense of joy because they unfortunately control this world gone astray from God’s Will and Plan.  They fret and fuss about this government official or that people group straying from an individual concept of what is right, and true and just.  They are also the people who have been saved, having been redeemed to peace with God.  These people unfortunately still place their hope and trust in self and therefore have turned pessimistic, sour and apathetic because they cannot see the method in their own authority to correct the atrocities which surround us all.  We again must choose to lose sight of control and leave the outcomes to God.  Whether or not this world survives is not my problem, it is my concern and that concern I must dutifully and rightfully share with God through prayer.  See no Christian is helpless who has prayer with Almighty God.

I must chose as I go forward in this life to let God own the outcomes and I simply own the application or work.  Yet even in that work, if it is done to His Glory, He will empower me to accomplish anything of worth or foundation.  Anything done of my own authority, by my own power or through my own wisdom and energy has been done for my own glory, NOT HIS.  My hope, praise, foundation, resolve, energy, wealth, health, assets and triumph is in God Alone.  To God be the Glory for all that He has done and it about to do.  In the Great and Mighty Name of Jesus Christ the redeemer of mankind.

Are they fools to enter the burning house, battlefield or coming storm?  Is it for glory or for self, or is there truly some spirit inside men that calls some to risk injury or death to see their fellow men safe, free and absent harm? What shall we call those who give of themselves while others flee?  Heroes, perhaps it is more than that.  Maybe they knew more of love than the rest of us.  Maybe they understood just how precious each human life is to the God who bore us.

Where has the Spirit gone?  Is He lost, irretrievable to man or have we just forgotten how to address Him and welcome Him into our temples, town homes and churches?  What purpose is served by separating ourselves from the guiding Spirit of God?  To me it would be done to escape the correction, recrimination and whispers of conscience.  This makes the most sense, as a man I want what I want when I want it, so the honesty of a Spirit that always guides, corrects, reproves and admonishes would be a constant and unavoidable nuisance from who, if I were pursuing my own way, I would seek division.  Perhaps, He, just like God Almighty cannot be party to my repeated sin, being Holy, Righteous and True.  That would cause Him to separate Himself from me if I continued in my folly, exacerbating my dilemma, hopefully to the point where the pain was unbearable, forcing me to cry out to God.  Perhaps, the most frightening thought is that the Spirit never came upon me so I have never know Him.  This thought I cannot bear.

Whatever the reason for His exit, I bid Him return to the saints and the churches.  Please Holy Father send us your chastening Spirit to counsel, guide and instruct us toward Your Perfect Will.  Empower us to do those things for which we have been designated ambassador.  Let us demonstrate Your Love to an unloving world, saturated in sin and rapidly losing its direction, sense and honor.  Come back to us so that we might have everlasting relationship with God and one day see You in Your infinite Glory.  Praise You Father for Your Wonderful Spirit, let Him fill me to capacity with Your Goodness, Mercy and Love in these days when those things have become scarce.  In the Name of Jesus the King.

Is it just repetitive cycles or swings of political pendulum that we see occurring or is the universe actually unwinding toward chaos?  What influences do you believe control your thoughts, emotions, moods and finances or do you believe that life just proceeds in a dynamically random fashion, pretty much reducing everything to chance and luck?  What if the Bible does say that there is something to the powers, principalities and spirits issue?  Are you still inclined to revise your version of God and His Word that you simply don’t believe in scripture regarding this issue or you resolve to “air brush” biblical teaching?  Either way you are confronted with the difficulty of explaining this increasingly dangerous and violent propensity cropping up in current society.  Do you use sociological impetus to credibly define the catalyst for this what may labeled by more judgmental people as “evil” behavior.  Or do you rally and protest against “the man” or big government, video games and media as the “root cause” of our current dilemma?  Whatever your prognosis based upon your own confidence and wisdom, you are still with the absolute truth that men have had “no ability” to counter this apparent unfortunate trend.  It is only getting worse, you know this to be truth but you can check whatever sources of data you need to investigate, you will still come to this same conclusion.

What is to be done about it?  I know what I am going to do about it and that is go to the Lord in humility and prayer asking Him to intervene on behalf of my family and friends, keeping us safe from the coming storm of evil’s last throws of power before confinement.  I have no authority to do warfare with evil spirits, but I am closely aligned with the ruler of this and every universe who possesses absolute authority over all things, evil or not, Jesus Christ the King of Kings.  I pray to Him asking that He rid my mind, heart and soul of these influences and as He did when He walked this earth He rebukes these spirits commanding them to leave, relinquishing any influence they may have had upon my life.  I speak His Word out loud, drawing the two edged Sword of God’s Mighty Word from which these spirits have no defense and are immediately forced to flee my life and that of my family.  I remain in the company of saints so that they may speak His Word into my life pointing out the times I have dropped my guard or turned my heart away from God making myself susceptible to these evil influences.  It is through relationship that I overcome the spirits, powers and principalities and fixing my mind upon Christ.

Can they convince you that it is all hocus pocus and that no spirits really exist and that God’s Word is actually wrong on this concept?  Have you fallen pray to caring about man’s opinion of your life, replacing the judgments of man for the Absolute Truth of God?  If none of this is true then you must come to grips that there is a war for the hearts of men going on “right now” and you will either be “victor or victim” there are no other roles.  Seek the truth of God and you will see that now is the time to Pray, Prepare and Prevail.  Praise God in the everlasting name of Jesus Christ the King.

It is through my willing surrender to the Lord’s authority and plan for humanity that the world and my life will change.  We see the events aligning with Bible Prophecy.  Although, we may wish that there were more time it is apparent that the time for preparation of our hearts, minds and families is upon us.  Pray for peace in Jerusalem.  Soon the sign of the temple being rebuilt will become evidence of the accuracy of my words.  Let us remember that I am simply repeating what the Bible has clearly predicts is certainly headed our direction.

If you ask the Lord to intervene, provide, reveal or direct make sure that you are ready to make the imminent follow on decision of whether or not to do as He bids.  The Lord will always answer.  The problem is that when He answers many times it is not what we’ve expected or His direction/purpose requires that we obey His lead, which many times does not coincide with our own will.  Man’s greatest quest is for purpose and that purpose resides solely with our Maker.  If you ask God to come close to you then you must be prepared for Him to reveal that purpose for which you have been so perfectly designed.  Often I see that when this purpose is revealed to believers they are dismayed because it provokes the internal conflict of man.  I hear, but wait that is not what “I feel”, or that is not what, “I want” to do when believers are faced with this dilemma.  That is the nature and the “purpose” of free will.  We must decide whether to surrender to God’s Glory and His eternal plan for our lives for the Kingdom of God is here NOW.

Knowing or understanding my purpose is a treasure that is greatest than all the wealth in all the combined kingdoms of this world.  Especially when my purpose is to assist others caught in the slavery of sin and powerful spirits to escape their bonds through the eternal forgiveness of belief on and trust in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.  There is no greater achievement in this life or the next then to obey God, please God and bring others to know God through salvation, grace and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Remember what you asked for when suddenly confronted with God’s intervention or answering of your prayers by sending someone in your path who needs salvation and grace.  If I may assist you in the discussion with the Lord to find your purpose please let me know, this is my greatest reward is seeing your growing intimacy with God through Christ.  I am simply an ambassador with a lantern filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit and the Light called Jesus Christ.

Caught up in the things they told her would make her smile.  The coffee had lost its aroma, now tasted simply burned beyond consumption.  One cigarette left, though the vapor was full of strawberry fields.  She laughed, to stop that rising tear, wondering how she had gotten here, not remembering the sequence of events and bad choices that brought her to this version of her present.  She could only mourn, mourning life as if it had already passed.  God would intercede this night, for she had cried out to him in humility at dawn, knowing that if He didn’t she would never have hope again.  He answered the prayer by sending her cousin, who had the sudden desire to travel home from college and would just happen to bump into her at the mall.  She would find Jesus this night and life would begin, cleansed, fresh, new.

A child gone, too soon, taken from his single Dad by something so innocuous as backyard, jungle jim.  Agony, breathing fire, misery and anger his father struggled to keep himself awake, consuming every narcotic and alcoholic beverage he could get into his fist.  Rage, kindled by loss and the guilt of having been negligent, leaving his son in the care of friends as he pursued completion of a drug deal.  This one was going to give him the cash to set himself free from poverty.  None of that mattered much now, for the true treasure had been clarified.  His agony would bring Him to God around four a.m. begging, pleading for understanding or death.  God would give Him neither, but would instead introduce him to Jesus Christ, washing clean his sin and setting him free from the nightmares of this life.  He would learn to live again and bring glory to the precious life of his son by helping others to get free of poverty, pain and drugs.  His pain had meaning in service of the King.

So far gone he couldn’t change, dreaming of other deals, greater payoff and nights filled with luxury and endless sin.  He had broken his pledge to serve with dignity and pride in his public office for the people, even before he had stepped foot past the threshold of the House.  Taken bribes, offered false witness, steered votes, promised reciprocity knowing fully the cost to reputation and code.  None of that figured into his thinking for it had become commonplace, acceptable to lie when you got caught and chuckle when you didn’t.  He was a magician at finding the way to get a kickback, payout or leveraged position, practicing slight of hand and manipulating history to make even the fallen proud.  He would lose it all, this treasured life of sensory satisfaction, in a moment God would call him to judgment at a moment predestined before time.  He would have no choice of eternity, for that decision may only be made by the living and now he is dead.

Smiling, she looked around at the swollen faces of her Grand kids one last time before pulling the covers high to her chin and saying, “I am ready now, I’m ready Lord.  This life had been a moment, a chain of events, some bringing joy, some sorrow, but all bringing her closer to Jesus.  Those cherub cheeks cried loudly, though she told them in whisper, don’t cry, I am going home.  She had served her God and honored a man who himself had made her happy with respect, care and love.  She missed this life for a moment, but then she could see her true life coming, where she would have no pain, never get sick or old and spend every day with God.  A her last breath subsided she knew the reason for her pain, understanding it all was intended to keep her close to Jesus.  And suddenly everything was alright.

Praise you Lord for the joy and pain upon us, meant out of Love to Bring us Home to You.

Foreign persecution, foreign courts, foreign laws, my sister, giving witness to Christ.  Praise God for her strength in this moment of trial.  Where is our resolve, where is our fervor, where is our strength to stand in the face of atheism, ethical relativism and evolutionary ignorance?  Will we get out of the boat and walk to Christ or stay inside the gunwales, shivering, frightened by that moment God reserved for our testing?

CALLING all Christians.  We are the only group in history indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God.  Think on that!  What we do matters and if you know scripture then you know what this world is soon to face.  WE MUST JOIN TOGETHER, as the Body of Christ he intended.  Soon foreign persecution will become familiar, you see it even now as do I.  The enemy agenda must confront God, for the powers and principalities know that there is no hope other than to push humanity in rebellion against all that is Holy, Righteous and True, against Almighty God Himself.  There is no choice but to tell them of salvation, testifying to the Glory of God through Christ.

Lord let me not look into your eyes and explain why I was negligent, disobedient or lazy in my work for the Kingdom.  Let me instead hear those wonderful words as I join my brothers and sisters in eternity.  Well done, my good and faithful servant.  Praise You, Lord.  Forgive them Father, may my sister find peace in your Sovereignty, Be with her this day.

What makes you sure that it’s true, can you demonstrate from scripture and what do you say to other believers who may have alternative beliefs?  When does the rapture happen, according to events in scripture?  Why do Jesus, Paul, Peter and John repeatedly sound the trumpet for “readiness” with Christians?  Isn’t being saved all that I need to consider with regard to “Harpazo” or “rapture”?  If being saved is all that I need be concerned with regard to rapture, what does being saved look like?  What part does the Holy Spirit of God play in salvation?  Is it possible to be saved without being sealed by the Holy Spirit?  Is there a reward for being the only group in human history to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit?  Does God treat differing groups with differing judgment. or are we all held accountable to the same standards?  Should I be concerned about convincing other Christians about rapture when they resist the truth of scripture regarding this mystery?

The simple question is, “Do you wish to be here on the Earth during the seventieth week of Daniel, commonly know as the period of tribulation?”  Are you amazed that it is a choice?  Have you been thinking that it was a lottery or some system of pick and choose?  Belief in rapture is scriptural and has to do with the God we serve and the promises He made to believers.  Jesus, Himself made promises to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3 regarding the tribulation, some He warned that they would be included if they did not repent and others He encouraged would be “saved” from this Wrath to Come.  How many of you realize that these letters to the churches from the Lord were meant for all of our ears?  As in all of scripture, these were not letters of antiquity to churches existent at the time of Jesus’s Ascension, but were clear direction to all believers, all churches, all time periods.  We are to be “ready” for coming judgment and to escape the brutality, tragedy and horror of coming judgment we must be found compliant with God’s Will.  To do this we must learn those expectations.  If you haven’t studied Revelation 1, 2 and 3 then it is likely you do not know what the Lord expects of us as believers.  Study up, get ready.

Differences.  The way that the world is behaving is misaligned with scripture and the directions of God.  I am sorry that men, collectively have chosen to go astray.  It certainly would be better if everyone was conscious of their own behavior and willingly determined to seek congruence with God’s prescribed Will, but that is not the way things are.  This sadness, depression, mourning is it truly about the world or am I also grieving the Holy Spirit through my own actions or inactions?  After all, my own alignment with scripture is that for which I have any true influence or leverage.  Is my example consistent with God’s Glory?  Am I bringing honor or dishonor to His redemptive Grace?

We see that there are two sides forming, those for God with a measure of repentance and those who are aligning themselves with doubt, mockery and sometimes challenging God’s Sovereign Authority directly.  I do not speak of those in the middle as being a separate group for the Bible is very clear what happens when a man refuses to make up his mind for whatever reason.  There after all are two sides.  God knows every hair on every head that will be included among the redeemed.  They have chosen to have God write His Word upon their hearts and face the coming judgment armed with the security of their passing this plane to eternity.  Many will be led astray, but I also see God’s plan for their redemption born from tribulation.  I will not argue with those who seek to convince or justify their position by producing a better argument than my own.  For even if they were to convince me of the folly of my argument, judgment will still come to each of us, for it is with the Sovereign Word of Almighty God that they tussle.  There is no evidence which may be produced to overturn His Rightful and Promised Judgment, for He is a Righteous and Holy God who cannot void His own promises.

Where will I be found on that great day or rapture, happily looking to the heavens from whence my salvation comes, preparing my heart and mind for His coming or will I be found asleep, unaware, ill-prepared for His Imminent Arrival, as promised.  I could say it is of no consequence, but that would be false for each person mattered enough to God that He came and took up humanity in order to offer His perfect life as sacrifice so that every man, woman or child could be saved.  It mattered enough for God to humble Himself hanging on a tree for the likes of you and me, people who were complicit in the punishment by death of an innocent man to save us from the truth which He spoke.  It mattered enough to God that He would stand the mockery, disbelief and ridicule of a disobedient creation just so that they would have the time to make up their minds and be convinced of their own sin unto repentance.  The short of is that it mattered, to Him, and that is all that matters.

In His will I walk, believe, convince, teach and proclaim the coming judgment and the awesome Good News of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, unto a world that would hear it not.  Praise Jesus, the King.

Father, There is no excuse for our misuse of Your blessings bestowed upon us.  There is seemingly no end to our oversteps, abuses and manipulation of the boundary between wrong and right.  We have forgotten the narrow path that leads to righteousness and truth.  Our behavior seeks the darkness, shadow and alleyway instead of honoring light.  My own pursuits mirror more a man pent on personal passions rather than a saint set upon sanctification.  There is no lasting glory in these achievements.  We have been left collectively empty, a mockery of the good men we initially intended.  Our light is dim, but it is not out Father, we still have glow enough to lead us once again to humility and prayer at the foot of Your Throne.

Father, Yahweh, Adonai, Almighty God, Maker of both heaven and earth, our Creator, our triumph, our Lord, we cry out to You.  Our weakness has overtaken our resolve, we can no longer muster the energy to pursue truth, our collective heart festers in stagnation and sediment.  Wash us clean in the renewing waters of Faith and Grace.  Give us new understanding of our blessings and their eternal value.  Heal us, rid us of poison, pain and false pursuit.  Remove the idols that send us scurrying, in search of grandeur, folly, stimulation and gain, but end only in pain.  Return us to piety, purity and sanctity, the place of righteous honor.  Let us not be counted among the unrighteous dead, set for impending, imminent and eventual judgment.

Lord Father, return us the true commitment made by our forefathers upon the rock, the salvation, the immoveable cornerstone, Christ Jesus.  Send torrential rains to wash clean our iniquities so that we may approach the footfalls of Your throne room without guilt.  Make us a people of clean lips so that our prayers may once again be fragrant to Your delight in heaven.  Allow us to sacrifice all and receive more in return.  Forgive our disobedience if we will repent and turn our voices, hearts and lives once again to You.
