So Sorry Lord, for my part in the disintegration of reliance upon your Word.  I have not done my job each time the opportunity was presented and because of this people have gone uninformed and others may have become susceptible to false doctrine.  Why did I not love You and Your children sufficiently?  What is this self-service that I would see anything more important then the work for which I was uniquely created?  Where are my precious moments spent delighting in Your Word?  I know that time to be the most peaceful and pleasant of my life yet I find any other distraction more pressing upon my interest.  What is this dichotomy in belief that I could treat Your Grace with such irreverence?

Forgive me Lord and forgive this nation for our extended transgressions, lead us from our trespasses into right relationship.  How long Lord must our hearts be empty but for the nagging pain of missing righteousness?  A pain so deep that it pounds even in our restless sleep.  Father, my enemies are not the target of my anger but rather the demons that drive our disobedience.  Father save us from the unseen realm of powers and principalities, wake our minds and eyes from slumber to diligence.  We have gone so far from You that we no longer see the depth of our dilemma.  Arouse our passion to follow Your Will.  Re-light the fire placed in our hearts at creation in a quest to find You, Serve You and stay with You.  Lord, my Good Shepherd, so many sheep wander aimlessly in the dangerous pastures of ill gotten gain.  Return us to the quiet waters, the wind swept meadow where Your Rod and Staff protect us from all harm, even that which we have fostered.  Let us wander from You No More.

Christ is King, Father send Your Spirit to kindle the Holy Fire among us, returning our hearts to their rightful place at the footsteps of Your Throne.  Bless Your Holy Name Lord God through my belief in Jesus I cry out to You for Mercy.
