I pray to have the mind of Christ. That I see this world not as it is but as it should be. My faith grows when I think of how the Lord would deal with these seemingly insurmountable issues. He would be thoughtful, seeking quiet counsel in Spirit and prayer, taking time to be by himself upon the mountain, hill or garden. He would seek the right timing at which to present the right words to address the exact thinking or actions needing adjustment. He would patiently wait until others brought forth the delusion, misunderstanding, accusation, wrong or wicked practices. Then He would speak clearly in Truth, Love and Authority proclaiming the correct way to think, believe and act. In the process He may have unleashed a miracle by multiplying scarce resources or correcting deformity to bring Glory and Honor to God. He feared nothing for He could see beyond time and was quiet, comfortable and assured in the knowledge of what would come to pass, even the victory which included His loss of life. I cannot see defeat if God promised to use all that I have done to the Good of His Will. There is no defeat in that.
Where does my talent end? What is that thing which is beyond my ability, gift, strength or treasure? That is the thing I seek to do, because it guarantees concentration upon God and not upon me. Yes it may require or be defined as miracle which will invariably grasp the worship of those who pursue baubles, gold and supernatural occurrence, but there will be others who see and honor God through His use of me as conduit for His Will. How many people could I feed if residing in the mind of Christ? How many sick may I heal, wars may I avert or crops may I water? What is beyond me steeped in the mind, authority and Spirit of the Lord Jesus, Nothing? That is where my prayer must begin, driven by His authority, His desire, His Will, His Power, His Mercy, Grace and Truth. I am simply the vessel for the Word and Water of God.
Where will this take me, I do not know? It produces a sensibility that seems to be a combination of emotion, peace, knowledge and faith. A place I have never been before in my walk. I do not know the circumstances, but I do know what this walk will produce, Glory to God, Revelation of His Name. Father, I may not know the entire story, but I do not need to know. I am comfortable in that walking for You will produce such results beyond my own capacities and undoubtedly lead hearts to You through belief in Christ. Show me those things I am not currently aware of, let me be at the right place and time to produce those results You seek by acting as an ambassador of Your Good Will. Give me peace that surpasses worldly understanding so that they may see glimpses of You through my action. Let me pray for those things which are beyond me, so that they cannot deny Your name. To You be all the Glory, honor and praise, my King. In Jesus’ Name.
