Is my face the same at dawn as at sundown?  Do I wear a crown of humility, shame, petulance or pride and show my family that same face throughout each day?  Am I the Spirit-directed preacher on the street corner where it cost me social coin or does inspiration wither?  Will I rebuke when necessary, love always and encourage all to become strong in the Lord and the power of “His Might”?  Will I weep at His feet when He shows me what I could have been for the Kingdom or will I beam with delight at His appreciation for well-directed effort?  Am I a sheep following my Shepherd or a wolf looking for opportune weakness?  Do I have Holy-boldness when proclaiming His Word, reclaiming His land or instructing my family?  What sort of action provides evidence of my faith?

Do you feel Him near?  My heart says that imminent means today until He shows me otherwise.  The harvest is ripe, the nations declaring their stance and the leaf begins to curl after the bud has born fruit.  Looking at Biblical proclamation of the things to come, I see that although the actors have not yet taken the stage, everything is positioned for curtain’s rise.  Russia teamed with Iran, Saudi on the sidelines, Africa teaming and Turkey thirsting for return to the Ottoman glory of days gone bye.  The runners are in the blocks and the starter’s pistol raised.  Even the face of America has been transfigured by promised judgment for His that go astray.  We are becoming a homo-sexual nation as payment for our negligence.  Our leaders can no longer find their way to righteous thinking strangled by the morass of a misdirected majority and personal pursuit.  We have become a nation of “Existors” simply counting days in a life with out course or direction.  Gone is the surety and abundance which comes to those who trust in the Almighty, gone is dependence on eternity and gone is our national identity based upon our faith, thanks and obedience to the creator Who blessed us.  Yes the times, time and half a time is nigh.  Soon we shall see the outcome to wickedness, mockery and inaction.

Will I be that same man who boldly declares his allegiance to Christ when eating with my Brothers as when preaching to the proud?  We shall see in this day, which may prophetically be the only one that I have left.  Praise God in all His Glory.  Bask in His grace and authority.  Honor Him with my actions, words and worship.  Love God with all my heart, mind, soul and treasure.  Weather the storm under His Mighty Wings.  I stake my claim to the everlasting on the surety of His promise.  Jesus my King.  Amen.

What moves a man?  How many victories, defeats, failures and successes does it take to sponsor maturity and usher in necessary change?  Has each of us taken his or her spiritual pulse to gather complete understanding of our individual resistance, reluctance or surrender to the inspiring Hand of God?  What ruts have my wheels found?  What circular or false paths have I wandered in exception to the divine?  Where have I been and where am I headed?  Am I making my flesh, mind and spirit subservient to God’s will or do I continue to waste finite, valuable life-energy upon things which further my worldly happiness instead of Kingdom Joy?

Will I be honest with myself instead of passing the buck to a world “lacking authenticity”?  Have I fallen into the Judeo-Christian trap of hypocrisy which God abhors?  Do I listen and follow the demands of children or do I lead like the spiritual, warrior, priest and prince that God’s tells me to be?  What grand stimuli must the Lord send my way to get me off my duff and out on the road for Jesus?  If you are stationary then you are probably disobedient, with the caveat of those who have been told to stay put and wait upon the works of the Holy Spirit.  If my flesh calls me to movement then I should stand still, if my desire calls me to complacency then I should get on the road and the let the Spirit be my guide.  Anything else is sitting on the fence and will surely be spat from the Mouth of the Almighty as tepid faith.

Do something for the Kingdom, you will see that you begin to lead instead of follow or tolerate the unholy practices of a fallen world full of pagan ritual and wasted labor.  Be what He wanted you to be, listen for His voice and respond to His prompting.  Live a life of abundance with Him for Him and through Him in this world and the next.  God be praised in Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.

Gazing into the Lord’s eyes of fire I tremble at the awesome, majestic power of God.  An honored fear, a wise fear, a respectful fear sponsoring loyal behavior and continuous surrender.  The original sin was one of disobedience to the Lord’s will and elevation of personal freedom of expression.  How different might things have been if Eve told the serpent to wait there while she fetched her husband to crush its head.  Adam had dominion and could have chosen to deny self and claim his right to dominate the enemy.  Instead he chose his own rebellion and thus gave up his cherished, righteous reign upon the Earth.  I asked myself today, “are you surrendering yourself to preparedness for the Lord’s millennial reign?”  How does my obedience to those the Lord has placed in position of authority above me prepare for surrender to His Will to Come?  My rebellion is my rebellion and if I will not practice being obedient now then I will ultimately rebel against the Lord when He rules with an iron rod.  My recommendation is to surrender to the one who loves you most, He will never steer you wrong.  Practice now, perform later.  Praise Jesus in all His Might, Truth and Glory.  Thank you Father, Amen.

Softness in the mid section precedes flabbiness in other bodily regions.  If I allow my core to become weak then my borders, edges and periphery will follow.  Defeat never happens in a day it is a slow, ebbing eventuality perpetuated by a term of erosive attack, breach or lack of attention to detailed defensive preparation.  Reflect upon America’s current demise and you will see all foundational failures on our dam of moral malfunction begun by the influences of pressure, time and decay.  Vigilance means continual prayer, education, edification and attention to obedience with regard to God’s commands.

“Woe, to the complacent,” says the Lord through Amos 6.  Our lack of disciplined attendance as Stewards of the Kingdom has led to overall structural failure within the civil network.  It has failed because our fields lie fallow and unprepared for planting, allowing our midsection to become weak and subsequently incapable of withstanding the pressures of erosion.  Stand and the Lord will fight for you.  Lie down and relax and the enemy will take the city from you.  Get up and man your post, prepare your gear and assemble your families for prayer and spiritual quickening.  The fight is upon us and I call you to victory in Christ Jesus or failure in your flesh.  You decide.  Praise the Lord, the Messiah, the Lamb and Lion of God who took away the sins of the world and will return for our eternal, collective and individual judgment.  Amen.

Hmmm.  You can only call someone a conspiracy theorist if there is no evidence to demonstrate the rational foundation for such belief.  Look at the evidence, seek the truth and act precipitously to avoid confusion, deception and suffering. Senior member sits on the Security Council, how convenient.  Most members are media, political, corporate and royal power-brokers, no wonder we can’t get the truth.  Managed media=misinformed and uneducated citizens=lack of preparedness or civic participation, apathy and helplessness=consolidated power for those who crave it=disaster for the common man.  Trust in God not in man or your own understanding but be prepared.

Be Wise, be educated, be informed and act according to the Word placed in your heart by the Holy Spirit.  It’s in the Bible that’s why I’m saying it folks.  Praise God only, nothing and noone else is worthy of it.

There are few things that sustain life.  Among them the chief physical need is water.  Humans  have the capacity to go extended periods of time without food but our water requirement is short, a number of days.  Water is so important in fact, that without the abundance of water on the Earth we would just be another lifeless planet.  Love and forgiveness provide the same sustenance for the human spirit and heart, without them we are parched, dried up and cannot long survive in even a temperate environment.  Without love we wither and become bitter.  Without forgiveness we languish, disconnected from God, family and fellowship.

These elements are pivotal to our healthy existence.  Therefore, if any one of them is removed from us the gamut of human emotion becomes probable; protest, anger, depression, psychopathy, fear, dread, failure and isolation.  So as the world’s love grows cold for one another we should expect a prevalence of these emotive responses.  As we become less forgiving of our neighbor’s violations against us, we will see increased separation.  And as we see our greatest natural resource defiled and depleted we should expect an exponential increase in terminal endurance.  Yet, even greater than the effects in removal of these pivotal elements is our escalating separation from Almighty God.  He is the provider of all things elemental and spiritual.  Like a drought brings all to humility, so too the absence of the Lord breaks men.

Without Him we have no purpose but consumption.  Without Him we have no hope but conquest of the weak.  Without Him we have only a violent, uncaring humanity with fools and satan as our guides.  As the pivotal elements continue to ebb and become in short supply these principles will become self-evident.  Our spiral has been created by our lack of self-restraint and our overwhelming desire to pursue pleasure.  We will suffer for the removal of God from our lives, our societies and our thoughts.  Forgiveness, love and water are so essential to our existence but they merely point to the most important thing in each of our lives, without which we perish for eternity.  The Almighty God, through Christ Jesus our King.  The water of life, the bread of forgiveness and love.  The hope of all man kind.  Amen.  Listen to the word of Lord in this regard.

Jeremiah 13:26

This is the word of the Lord concerning the drought;  “Judah mourns, her cities languish; they wail for the land, and a cry goes up from Jerusalem.  The nobles send their servants for water, they go to the cisterns but find no water.  They return with their jars unfilled; dismayed and despairing, they cover their heads.  The ground is cracked because their is no rain in the land; the farmers are dismayed and cover their heads.  Even the doe in the field deserts her newborn fawn because there is no grass.  Wild donkeys stand on the barren heights and pant like jackals; their eyesight fails for lack of pasture.”  Although our sins testify against us, O Lord, do something for the sake of your name.  For our backsliding is great; we have sinned against you.  O Hope of Israel, its Savior in times of distress, why are you like a stranger in the land, like a traveler who stays only a night?  Why are you like a man taken by surprise, like a warrior powerless to save?  You are among us, O Lord and we bear your name; do not forsake us!

We thought you were just joking Father when you called us to repentance.  We considered it lightly this grace we were offered in exchange for sin and eternal separation.  Why didn’t you correct us when you saw us chuckle as you said things like, “If you love me you will obey my commands”?  We really couldn’t take you seriously.  I mean, imagine all humanity forgiven just for repentance and belief, who could ever take such an idea with anything but incredulity?  How could we be expected to surrender to a God who created us, provides for us, Loves us unconditionally, invites us to spend eternity with Him, never leaves us and told us in advance what would happen to everyone that decided to stand in opposition to His Will?  How preposterous!  Nonetheless, truth.

Have I laughed at Your Plan Lord?  Have I giggled when considering Your Majesty and the price you paid for my salvation?  Have I squandered the assets, first fruits, talents and life You have generously provided me?  Why do questions so deep even come to a mind so shallow?  Everywhere I turn, You are there.  I cannot shake this banner of mockery upon my own brow.  Inaction is confirmation of belief in something other than Your intention.  Please forgive me for taking Your Word lightly.  Please pardon my inactivity when I have been directed to work, sacrifice and calling.  Please take away my continued shame of participation in activities unbecoming a child of the Kingdom of Almighty God.  Remove from me any flippancy, sarcasm and foolish mockery.  May I only speak what is right, just and true.  Let me be a good servant to your righteousness.  It is in the name of the Messiah of God that I pray, Christ Jesus, My Lord, King, Savior and Joy.  Amen.

Movement in the distance catches the eye.  Even something far off, just beyond our focus can still be tracked by human vision.  If we are intrigued we will then grab a pair of binoculars to determine what the object is and if it be friend or foe.  Right now there is movement on the horizon for humanity.  Groups, shapes and colors blend and fade as we try to bring it into focus.  We may not be able to distinguish what is out there but we know that something approaches.

When I was growing up the schools were pretty good.  The founding Fathers warned of the one thing that could bring down this democracy was special interests.  The most effective strategy of the enemy other than that of getting us away from the Bible is the tactical erosion of the institutions teaching our children.  Our kids are being led astray by skeptics, evolutionary naturalist’s and the secular theist’s which dominate the educational system in our country.

Do you truly know where your church stands on this erosion of Christian Doctrine?  I am not pointing fingers at any one church because apparently all or most have capitulated at some level.  Check your doctrine, is it sound or has been corrupted by “New Age” spiritualism and the Global cry for Interfaith plurality being pushed by the World Council of Churches?  Have you seen a falling away of church members, empty/bankrupt/foreclosed churches?  Again, all this is perfectly foretold in the Bible and further solidifies the indistinguishable shapes on the horizon.

Well, I think that the movement on the horizon for humanity is clearly visible at this time.  No longer are these just indistinguishable, geometric influences invading the edges of our ocular perception.  These influences have been building for decades and are gaining speed, closing in on man as a species.  I would say an alarm should be sounding repeatedly calling all of us to arms, battle stations, prayer rooms and preparation.  Yet it appears that the majority wishes to slumber, hoping that calamity will somehow pass us by.

This perfect storm is not only headed our way but it encircles the globe and will impact, devastate or transform every living thing on this planet.  You choose where you wish to be when the damn breaks, physically it matters very little.  Ah, but spiritually that is where the investment pays.  Are you saving up treasures in heaven that will never rust, be stolen or decay?  Are you waiting upon the Lord or just hoping to blindly enjoy what you’ve got and experience, the “right now” for as long as you can?  The choice is ours but we all share the same coming events which will determine our individual fate.  On which side of eternity do you stand?  Compiling the evidence of coming events there is only one rational position and that is “with the Lord for eternity.”

The enemy recognizes the presence of the Lord Jesus in each of us.  Contemplating Jeremiah today I saw that the enemy sees those who serve the Lord God and treats them accordingly.  That is not to say that the enemy did not loathe Jeremiah for his service, but he also offered him relief, release and succor when he saw Jeremiah’s sacrifice.  As with anything that the enemy offers we are forced to turn it down immediately, knowing fully that there are always strings attached to the offering.  Perhaps, it is then at our weakest when we have surrendered to the Lord’s will for our lives, that we are capable of making the choice to remain on the path, even as we are tempted to be led astray by promised contraband.  Let’s take a look at Jeremiah 40 to see such an episode and be encouraged by Jeremiah’s reaction to the enemy’s offer;

The word came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard had released him at Ramah.  He had found Jeremiah bound in chains among all the captives from Jerusalem and Judah who were being carried into exile to Babylon.  When the commander of the guard found Jeremiah he said to him, “The Lord your God decreed this disaster for this place.  And now the Lord has brought it about; he has done just as he said he would.  All this happened because you people sinned against the Lord and did not obey Him.  But today I am freeing you from the chains on your wrists.  Come with me to Babylon, if you like, and I will look after you; but if you do not want to, then don’t come.  Look, the whole country lies before you; go wherever you please.”  However, before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan added, “Go back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the towns of Judah and live with him among the people, or go anywhere else you please.”  Then the commander gave him provisions and a present and let him go.  So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah son of Ahikam at Mizpah and stayed with him among the people who were left behind in the land. 

We are immediately presented with the fact that the Lord uses even the enemy soldiers to deliver His word to His beloved.  Look at the first line of this chapter.  The word came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard had released him at Ramah. Jeremiah has such discernment that he could see the Lord’s will wrapped up in the speech of an enemy combatant.  It is with this understanding that we are able to overcome all that confronts us as all things serve the Lord, even the enemy, The Lord Jesus rebuke him.

Then as always the enemy tried to lure Jeremiah in with flattery and deception stating his understanding that the Lord had predicted and carried out His judgment upon the nation of Israel, but it is the commander who had set Jeremiah free.  What an idle boast.  If the Lord God had predicted and executed His judgment then He had also provided for Jeremiah’s deliverance.  Then the commander showed his true intent, “Come with me to Babylon, if you like, and I will look after you”.  We see the clever repetition of the enemy’s attempt to catch us while we’re weak, then offer us something that was ours to begin with in exchange for service to his requirements.  Then to seal the deal he offered provisions, a place to stay with the local magistrate and gifts.

If the enemy cannot defeat a Christian through fear and force he will promise abundance to distract us away from God’s will for our lives.  But take heart, just as Jeremiah perceived this to be the Word of the Lord, so too, will those of us with the discernment to know the Lord’s voice.  We will not be led astray because the Lord’s voice is recognizable against all others.  The small quiet voice which leads and calls us to sanctification will never leave us or forsake us in the time of greatest need.  Trust in the Lord, call upon His name and have your feet set securely upon a path from which you will never depart.  Praise Jesus in His infinite Glory.  Amen.

At the center is the Lord waiting for us to arrive.  At the edge is the Lord watching over us with His Mighty Hand of Providence delivering us, even from ourselves.  The Lord walks with us challenging us to get up and surrender to Him not to the things and trials of this world.  Inside us He whispers, comforts, rebukes and bolsters our constitution allowing us to excel where capitulation seems the only recourse.  Beyond us He prepares a future for us all, leaving no detail incomplete, no aspect left to chance, a future on which we as Christians base our entire hope, faith and reality.  A faith in the absolute certainty in the Promises of God.  There is nothing of this world worthy of my allegiance.  My faith, my future, my shelter, shade, warmth and sustenance is the Lord God Almighty through Jesus Christ My Lord.  Upon that solid rock I will build and when all else is shaken I will remain safe in Jesus.

If what I’ve just said seems lunacy to you then I pray that the Lord removes the veil from your eyes and softens your heart to His Grace.  If what I’ve said offends you then I will pray for your salvation and deliverance from an eternity separate from the Almighty God who made us.  If what I’ve said pesters you then I pray that you surrender to the voice of the Holy Spirit at work within you calling you to repentance, surrender and belief.  If what I’ve said warms your heart then I pray that the Hand of the Lord protect you from the trials that you surely will face in this world.  If what I’ve said brings you peace and joy then I pray for your continued stand for the Lord in His quest to seek those who may be lost to Him.  If what I’ve said glorifies God then I ask His forgiveness for not having said it sooner.

We wait upon You, precious Lord.  Your will be done on earth just as it is done in Heaven.  In Jesus’ Name I pray for all of us to rest in You.
