Why can’t I take back a word once it has been said?  What energy resides within a word that it can start wars, evoke peace, withstand history, transcend death, create eternal friendship and even provide a steady income?  How could something that is without cost come with such a price?  Why do tyrannical societies restrict and fear the words of peasants.  What is this power to elevate or condemn given to each man whether pauper, prince or saint?

The ability to use words is one of our likenesses to God in His infinite depth. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God., John 1:1.  If you want to know the will of God for your life and hope to receive true discernment meditate on this line of scripture every day for at least ten minutes.  Father, what does this mean, how can the word precede the beginning?  How can the Word be with God and also be God?  How can I use my words or my silence to bring glory to Your Name?  Teach me the power of words and their proper intention and use?  Make me a man of clean lips, I beg of you.  In Jesus’ name.
