Self-indulgent, self importance, self worth, self evaluation, self centered, selfish, self reliant, self indignant, self determined, self satisfied, self interested, self seeking, parsimonious,  self centric, self absorbed, self serving, self idolatry, self loved.

What is served rules the servant.  Whether craven image, material wealth, desirous heart or Almighty Sovereign.  Jesus came in the Name of the Father and they received Him not, but when another comes in his own name, him we shall receive.  Do we admire self-focus to such extent that we will see this as godly behavior.  Perhaps, slight of hand or miraculous fortune will bedazzle our fantasy.

Why do we begin the path to righteousness and peace serving those things which in turn take us captive?  Our God promises freedom for surrender.  No other master offers this manner of illogical bargain for capitulation.  We serve voluntarily, we pledge sacrificially, we abstain obediently we achieve abundance and good fortune as a bi-product of doing what is right.  We serve that which is worthy to be adored.  Even Pharaoh was given the opportunity to serve God voluntarily.  How gracious, our Lord to offer the choice even to His enemies.  We will eventually serve whether in rejoicing or condemnation but we have all been given the loving gift of choice.

I AM is what He told Moses to call Him.  Not I WAS, Not I WILL BE but I AM.  Like all of the Lord’s Word this statement is pregnant with the seed of infinite contemplation.  I AM means “right now” implying currently alive right here with us in our circumstances.  I AM means I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN independent of any law, physicality, thought or episode.  I AM is endless, absent beginning, circular, yet beyond Mobius continuity in linear perception.  I AM is in all things, surrounds all things, breathes life through all things and lives with all things while watching all from every perspective and omniscient cognition.  I AM means there is no other for I AM the completion for which all men yearn.  i am merely an extension, a reflection a filial whisper of the whole to which i am part.  i am delighted to serve a God worthy of my praise, performance and sacrifice.  Thank you Father in Jesus’ name.
