In the midst of self importance one seeks legacy in a country where cash is king.  It used to be how many cattle you had, now the measure is the abundance of sinful luxuries you possess.  What occurs to the billionaire when faced with a heart attack or when a family member dies.  Where then is his wisdom?  Proverbs 28:11 A rich man may be wise in his own eyes but a poor man who has discernment sees through him.

It is the blood that matters.  The blood that we commonly share which gives us the breath of life, ferrying oxygen and water to our cells.  It is the blood of family and holding dear the human treasures which contains the spiritual gold.  It is the cleansing for sin which exists in no other faith but that of belief in Christ’s sacrifice.  It is the optimistic confidence reflected in this crimson shade.  It is the truth of life, which no man may avoid.  Without the blood we are lifeless husks of mortality.  With the blood we have hopeful insight to eternity free of sin, pain, death and separation.

Thanks be to the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob whose promises are true that we share in the blood of our eternal salvation.  Praise Your Holy, Glorious name King Jesus.
