Go or stay?

What do you do when you are unsure?  Do you sit at the crossroads and wait for guidance, direction, whispers on the wind or do you charge ahead making confident decisions based on available logic?  Does the enemy give you the slightest thought as you sit there on the side of the road waiting to hear from the Holy Spirit?  Does he forget you thinking you out of the game or does he discourage your irrational patience and continually apply the spurs to your underside, prodding you toward action?  How could standing still possibly constitute a threat to the enemy’s expectations?  Candid, truthful response is that anything that makes you more dependent upon the Lord is bad news for you know who.

When you go out in the desert and don’t know where you will get food or drink but refuse to worry, how much does that aggravate the accuser of the brethren?  Why would he waste time to come out there and offer you sustenance unless it somehow deterred you from residing in the promises of the Lord?  Remember fallen angels hang out in the dry, lifeless places, so expect a visit when you are in need of a drink, walking through the endless, hot sand.  He was apparently so arrogant, may the Lord rebuke him, he arrived at a similar moment to test Lord Jesus.  What makes you think he will just leave you out there where you might call upon Name of the Lord?

Taking action is easy for most but difficult for the fearful.  Be cautious about the enemy’s strategy for your life.  If you are prone to fear he will attempt to paralyze you with it.  If you are prone to over achievement he will try to create a panicked desire to act, RIGHT NOW!  Ask for discernment and only listen to that small, still voice that directs you to do the right thing.  Don’t confuse difficult with wrong.  The path of least residence, the easy road, THE WIDE PATH, is typically not the best choice for believers.  Stay on the narrow path and when the Lord says wait, I pray you sit right down with a smile on your face and don’t budge for anything but the Lord.  Praise Jesus.  Be strong, He is coming.
